I love Liberty Bagel! They have great egg sandwiches or even just regular bagel with cream cheese. I got an egg everything bagel and it was so good. I've been lucky each time I have gone line isn't bad and if there is a line, it is moving. It is a very fast paced store and I had so much to look at around town I didn't stay long. Inside there is a really cool all of bagels to take a peak at.

When youre looking for a great bagel place while in NYC, take a moment to consider coming here. Most known for their Liberty bagels, and It was not as packed as I thought it would be. When inside, you are greeted by a WALL of bagels and their window of cream cheese options. BY FAR, the most interesting thing the room is reading out the list of cream cheese flavors....oreo, jalapeno, maple bacon, blueberry... the list goes on. Pro-TIp: Go straight to the back to order. You will want to stop and look around, but they have a list of bagels and their cream cheese options on the left wall while you are in line. Once you order, go back to the cream cheese window, wait for your order, or go and take a photo at the bagel wall! The bagels are THCCCC and chewy, and they slap a huge amount of cream cheese. The flavor will taste different to everyone because the combinations are endless, but the undertone of the actual cream cheese it really cheesy. Not your Philadelphia cream cheese, its more salty and has an umami taste. The store itself is packed with things all over the walls with menu items and things to look at. It can be almost overwhelming so, take some time before had to pick out what you want to order, so that you're in and out of line quickly. The cashiers are QUICK!! I would love to come and try all of their cream cheese options, because they have so many interesting flavors and I was sad that I coundnt grab more. Pro Tip: This location is extremely close to the bull statute, so make yourself a lil' trip and stop for both.

OMG, their strawberry cream cheese is so good! And The Pesto Perk -- a thin panini sandwich -- was absolutely divine. Quick in and out. Some seating available.

Super fast and friendly service. We stopped by for breakfast bagels and we were obsessed. The workers manning the front greeted us as we walked in and even gave us some recommendations. I wanted something basic so I ordered the red and white bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was perfectly toasted and had just the right amount of cream cheese. We were lucky to find a table as it was pretty busy. Definitely recommend!

When in NYC, why not bring home some bagels and cream cheese! My friend and I came right when they opened, so they were well stocked! Upon entering, you can see all their bagel and cream cheese options on the left side. When you are ready to order, you head straight to the back counter. Pick up will be the front counter you first saw up of entering. I ordered a dozen assorted bagels - egg bagel + everything version, pumpernickel bagel + everything version, and whole wheat everything bagels. I didn't ask for them cut, so they would last longer during my travels. My favorites were the egg bagels (I have never seen this in my area and I read not many places still make them) and the pumpernickel bagels, but all were good! In addition, I ordered small containers of the strawberry (made with actual strawberries), blueberry (made with actual blueberries), and lox scallion cream cheeses. My absolute favorite was the lox scallion cream cheese, followed by the strawberry (like a strawberry ice cream flavor). It was a bit harder for me to taste the blueberry. This place had a lot of interesting flavor combinations for the cream cheeses and I wouldn't mind coming back to try some others. We also ordered a rainbow bagel with birthday cake cream cheese to share. They definitely lay on the cream cheese real thick which I appreciate, especially given the price of a bagel with cream cheese. It tasted exactly what you would think it would taste, a pretty bagel with a sweet cream cheese. They mixed the sprinkles in very well though. They packaged the bagels in a paper bag, so I would suggest bringing your own for additional support. I do wish that they separated the everything bagels from the non-everything bagels be causing the seasoning stuck everywhere. Smelled so good though! There's no bulk discount for buying the bagels though (e.g. single versus half dozen versus dozen), so order as much or as little as you want! I baked at the price of a small container of cream cheese - think tall take out sauce container. However, they were good and definitely worth a try. It varies by preferences, but a small container is probably good for two bagels. I underestimated how heavy carting around a dozen bagels plus other items throughout the city. There is a slight discount for cash (i.e. not full tax amount), but they accept credit card too. There is a decent amount of seating in the back area with utensils and napkins available.

I must say this establishment is one of my favorite! When u walk in its very vibrant and very clean.. and upscaling! All the staff are welcoming and very friendly! It dosent matter how busy it is i am always in and out with a breeze.. and not to mention I love the fact that all bagels and cream cheese are all made in house!: I love the fact I can hot food made and I can also dine in if I like! I love the fact that Mustafa and all the staff truly take note to my food allergies seriously.. so when I am here I feel like family!!!

Good food selection, large portions, great atmosphere. The menu is large and clearly displayed multiple spots in the store. Big array of types of bagels, cream cheese, and food varieties!! Loved the jalapeño cream cheese, and the strawberry with fresh strawberries in it - but on top of it all, service was fast & friendly!

Too good! I ordered a garlic bagel, egg, cheese with scallion cream cheese and a Rainbow bagel with birthday cake cream cheese., Both were delicious! I loved their ordering system but the wait times were given how crowded this place was. 5 stars all the way! The location is also perfect-- super close to Wall Street! So get your breakfast and start your touristy things from here.

An iconic NYC bagel! The perfect amount of smear that it isn't overpowering and so many fun flavors and colored bagels. I got a rainbow bagel which didn't have any fun flavor, but was a fun aesthetic. I would recommend ordering online and doing a pick up if you want to avoid lines. They were quick with our pick up order of 4 bagels. This location doesn't have a lot of room to stay and eat your bagels, more of a grab and go situation.

I had to get a bagel!! So many to choose from. I of course wanted them all . We ordered the Liberty bagel with a bacon and scallion spread. Lov

I've been to Liberty Bagels a couple of times now, and it's quickly become one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in New York. The service is always quick, and there are so many options to choose from -- different types of bagels, tons of cream cheeses (many I'd never even heard of before!), plus pastries, egg sandwiches, and other sides. The combinations and flavors feel endless. They're famous for their rainbow bagels, which I haven't tried yet, but they look like a lot of fun. I've had both the sesame and egg bagels -- the sesame one is loaded with seeds (so if you prefer a lighter topping, you might want to scrape a little off), and both were perfectly chewy and flavorful. I don't toast my bagels because I love that soft, chewy texture, and these definitely deliver. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous -- especially when it comes to cream cheese. If you're like me and love a thick spread, the standard amount is already plenty. I've ordered extra before and it was almost too much (in a good way!). Overall, Liberty Bagels has that perfect mix of variety, quality, and consistency. I'm a repeat customer and will definitely keep coming back whenever I'm in the city.

The bagels are large and so delicious here. I'm normally not a bagel eater due to high carbs but they are well worth it at Liberty. You have to option of ordering the bagel sandwiches scooped (to remove some of the bread inside) or double scooped to save on some carbs. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. They also have paninis, omelette and hamburgers. Ordering is done in the back at the register and then if it's a bagel order, you go back up front where they will call out your name or wait in the back where they make sandwiches. The seating is limited inside to actually sit down and eat but there are some tables in the back. I have ordered a dozen to take back home with me whenever I come to New York to visit! Freeze them when you get home and they last longer!

We stopped by Liberty Bagels before our ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty after seeing all the great reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype! Their menu is huge -- there are so many options to choose from, and everything looked amazing. We ordered the Novacado (with added lox scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel) and the Reuben on a whole wheat everything bagel. Both were delicious -- the bagels were fresh, soft inside, and perfectly chewy on the outside. My mom thought her Reuben was a little dry, and it would've been nice if they offered mustard packets (they only had mayo and Cholula hot sauce), but overall everything tasted great. The line was long but moved very quickly, and our food was ready within a minute or two after ordering. There's also plenty of outdoor seating, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our bagels before heading to the ferry. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

Sarge's ended up being the perfect alternative, just a quick five-minute walk from our hotel. We arrived around 5:00 pm on a Sunday and were seated right away, which already felt like a win. The meal started with coleslaw and both a half sour and full sour pickle--such a classic deli touch, and a great way to kick things off. I ordered the half sandwich with matzah ball soup, and the portion sizes were no joke. The soup alone could have been a full meal: a huge bowl with an equally massive matzah ball. The broth was warm and soothing, and the matzah ball was incredibly light with a perfect texture. The half pastrami on rye was just as impressive. Even "half" was stacked high with flavorful, tender pastrami. Adding a bit of mustard from the table brought everything together--it was simple, classic, and exactly what I was hoping for. Not only was it one of the more reasonably priced meals of the trip, but it was also genuinely satisfying. If you're looking for a no-fuss, traditional deli experience without the wait, Sarge's is a great option.
