Over the years, my weight crept up to 200 pounds. In March of 2022, Dr. Gerayli suggested that I try Ozempic as a way to curb my appetite. I agreed and she gave me some guidelines for planning my food intake: eat only during an 8-hour period; limit breakfast, lunch and a snack to about 200 calories each and dinner to about 600 calories; exercise regularly. Monthly visits with Dr. Gerayli kept me on track. By taking the Ozempic and following her suggestions, I lost 50 pounds over a nine-month period. My husband and I are very grateful for the helpful advice and counselling Dr. Gerayli provided. My size has dropped from 20 to 12. I am very happy with the way I look and my increased mobility. She was so tacky and assumptive it was difficult to even maintain a cordial relationship. She requested I go through 4 different appointments before prescribing a very common rx that I ve been taking for over 20 years and will take for life. Awful.

New insurance...new doctor. Sounds like fun, huh?…read more For a couple years I have been going to the Airport Urgent Care in Oxnard and had mixed experiences. When I got my new insurance I had to choose a new doctor and Dr. Alcocer with the Spanish Hills Medical group was recommended by my wife's doctor. I was a little worried when I called in mid January to make an appointment and they had to schedule me in mid February. They explained later on that one of the doctors in the group had just retired and that the other doctors had to make up for all those extra patients. They gave me a call the day before to confirm my appointment and told me to come in a few minutes early to fill out paperwork. I arrived 15 minutes early, filled out a stack of paperwork and then waited to be called. They called me in about 5 minutes later. Woah. 5 minutes...that's awesome. I had an awesome nurse who took all my vitals and got me ready for my appointment and then about 5 minutes later I was visited by Dr. Alcocer. He had an amazing demeanor. He seemed like he was not in a rush at all...he acted like he wanted to know everything about me and what he could do to help me with my regular issues like my asthma. He gave me all the prescriptions that I needed with 6 months of refills so I didn't have to worry about waiting for my pharmacy to call in for authorization. That was such a relief from my previous doctor. All in all the whole appointment took maybe 20 minutes, 30 minutes tops. I was completely impressed with the whole experience and I look forward to having the Spanish Hills Medical Group and Dr. Alcocer on my side when it comes to my health. :0)

Alexis Murray is the BEST. She is very attentive, lets you fully explain yourself & your concerns, speaks to you so respectfully, doesn't gaslight you & tries to see things your way so that she can better understand you, & she respects your personal beliefs, & does not come off judgmental nor does she make you feel stupid. Lately we have been going to see Alexis Murray for my son almost once monthly. She is always so patient and detailed with us. She explains herself very well & lets us as parents feel safe enough to ask her many questions & figure out how to go about things in regard to my son's health. She also is so reassuring and makes us feel safe!!! She is a gem there. Astrid is a medical assistant there at Primary Medical and she was also very attentive with son. She made him feel very comfortable and made him laugh. When you have little kids all the little things matter & when they take the extra steps to make sure your child is comfortable it puts us as parents at ease. I, myself have also been seen by Alexis Murray & can attest to a great bedside manner. All in all, I am super happy that my whole family goes to Primary Medical in Oxnard. Give Alexis Murray a go, you will not be disappointed!!!
