I had a very disappointing experience at this doctor's office & unfortunately this is not the 1st time. From the moment I arrived, the staff and doctor were unprofessional and dismissive. The doctor made me feel like I was just another thing to mark of their checklist, rather than listened to or cared for. She entered the room by asking "So, what are you here for?" no warm welcome at all! Instead of reading my test results back to me & explaining them she recommended I join a workout class. I left the appointment feeling like I wasted my time, without receiving any real medical guidance or support. Healthcare should be compassionate and professional, but unfortunately, this office provided neither. I went to Dr Gerayli for my annual routine exams for the last few years. Last June, during my annual, I showed her a bump in my upper abdomen, and she dismissed my claims, saying it was my xiphoid process. I told her it was weird because it hurt, and she said, 'Just don't touch it, if you touch it, it will become tender and hurt'. I saw her back in December, and she maintained it was my xiphoid process. Well, I had my annual with my OBGYN in April and showed her the bump. Even if it was not in her area of specialization, she could tell something was off and ordered a CT scan. It turns out it is a TUMOR! A 5-centimeter TUMOR! Now I am running to investigate and see what kind of tumor it is. Called Dr Gerayli's office and told her secretary about the finding, and she never called me back. I am a generally healthy 43 yo woman, and she missed something so important, can't even imagine the damage she could cause to a vulnerable elder. I advise to stay away from her practice. read more

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Gerayli since she came to Camarillo and we are very happy with the care we have received from her and her staff. Over the years, my weight crept up to 200 pounds. In March of 2022, Dr. Gerayli suggested that I try Ozempic as a way to curb my appetite. I agreed and she gave me some guidelines for planning my food intake: eat only during an 8-hour period; limit breakfast, lunch and a snack to about 200 calories each and dinner to about 600 calories; exercise regularly. Monthly visits with Dr. Gerayli kept me on track. By taking the Ozempic and following her suggestions, I lost 50 pounds over a nine-month period. Dr. Gerayli has been my doctor for many years. Recently she suggested a much needed weight reduction including Ozempic due to a family history of diabetes. I have decided to write a review after having had several office visits to make sure that my comments would be accurate and reliable. I was originally referred to Dr. Gerayli by my Gynecologist because of a medical problem that my Gynecologist thought should be handled by an internist. I found the staff very accommodating and flexible with my very busy schedule. I was especially impressed that the doctor reviewed all my health history that was taken by her MA earlier and I was also impressed that they had electronic access to my prescription history though they were prescribed by other doctors. I found her very knowledgeable and a good listener which has always been very important for me. I have since transferred the care of my parents to the same office. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a competent doctor with a personal and compassionate touch. read more

Again, let me reiterate this a business review. I've been going to drs. for 21 years and care taking for 5 years. this office staff truly damaged my perspective of Camarillo. For the location, it's ideal. Peaceful, however the staff gave my father and I the impression that, here, they choose to treat those who care about their family differently, almost as if caring is a nuisance. This was made very clear to us by the staff's intolerance for my concern regarding my father's health on multiple occasions. Had them for about 5 months. I moved to Camarillo recently and saw Dr. Gerayli's positive reviews on another website. Unfortunately my experience has been similar to other reviews on this website. The staff were polite, but I was made to feel like they didn't have time for me. On my first appointment no one took a thorough health history and Dr. Gerayli gave me very generic advice about general health concerns for women my age. She didn't take any time to know or care about my individual health concerns. No one ever followed up with test results from my appointment and the prescription I really need has not been called in to the pharmacy. I'm now having to spend considerable extra time to ensure I can get my prescription when I really want to just be done with Dr. Gerayli and her office. read more
