My husband and I have been patients of Dr Gerayli since she came to Camarillo and we are very happy with the care we have received from her and her staff. Over the years, my weight crept up to 200 pounds. In March of 2022, Dr. Gerayli suggested that I try Ozempic as a way to curb my appetite. I agreed and she gave me some guidelines for planning my food intake: eat only during an 8-hour period; limit breakfast, lunch and a snack to about 200 calories each and dinner to about 600 calories; exercise regularly. Monthly visits with Dr. Gerayli kept me on track. By taking the Ozempic and following her suggestions, I lost 50 pounds over a nine-month period. My husband and I are very grateful for the helpful advice and counselling Dr. Gerayli provided. My size has dropped from 20 to 12. I am very happy with the way I look and my increased mobility. I had a very disappointing experience at this doctor's office & unfortunately this is not the 1st time. From the moment I arrived, the staff and doctor were unprofessional and dismissive. The doctor made me feel like I was just another thing to mark of their checklist, rather than listened to or cared for. She entered the room by asking "So, what are you here for?" no warm welcome at all! Instead of reading my test results back to me & explaining them she recommended I join a workout class. I left the appointment feeling like I wasted my time, without receiving any real medical guidance or support. Healthcare should be compassionate and professional, but unfortunately, this office provided neither. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful and attentive medical care. read more

Didn't have the best experience. First, when I walked in the receptionist wasn't the most professional. She just put down paperwork on the counter and left ? The practicing nurse was super nice and professional & the male nurse/ doctor that saw me for a few minutes since my doctor was running late, was great and seemed way more interested in what I was feeling. However, when doctor G came in, she dismissed what I came in for almost immediately, didn't ask me if I was experiencing any other symptoms or ask any follow up questions about my pain and overall just made me feel so uncomfortable and dismissed. When I said no to the medication she wanted to give me, she asked "so what do you want then?" Which to me seems very unprofessional or as if she was insinuating I wanted stronger drugs. I will be calling my insurance to get my primary care doctor switched. read more

Best family doctor. Very thorough. Full attention and care for patients' issues. Kind, knowledgeable and professional.

I went to Dr Gerayli for my annual routine exams for the last few years. Last June, during my annual, I showed her a bump in my upper abdomen, and she dismissed my claims, saying it was my xiphoid process. I told her it was weird because it hurt, and she said, 'Just don't touch it, if you touch it, it will become tender and hurt'. I saw her back in December, and she maintained it was my xiphoid process. Well, I had my annual with my OBGYN in April and showed her the bump. Even if it was not in her area of specialization, she could tell something was off and ordered a CT scan. It turns out it is a TUMOR! A 5-centimeter TUMOR! Now I am running to investigate and see what kind of tumor it is. Called Dr Gerayli's office and told her secretary about the finding, and she never called me back. I am a generally healthy 43 yo woman, and she missed something so important, can't even imagine the damage she could cause to a vulnerable elder. I advise to stay away from her practice. read more

I saw Dr Gerayli today as a new patient. She spent time with me, actively listened to me and made recommendations that were very aligned with my philosophies in terms of taking care of my health. (I rarely see a doctor...my last doctor after seeing him once/year for checkups for 3-4 years asked me if I was new to his practice the last time I saw him...ok, I get he wouldn't recognize me, but come on, take a peek in my chart as you enter the exam room! LOL) Anyway, I'm very impressed with Dr Gerayli and am thrilled I found her! read more

I've had many primary care physicians in my life and Dr Gerayli is the only one I feel actually cares about my well being. She's a really pleasant person, nice and personable, and at the same time firm about telling me what I need to hear, even when I resist. I feel the same about her staff and SO appreciate the occasional phone calls to make sure all is well. read more

Dr. Gerayli has been my doctor for many years. Recently she suggested a much needed weight reduction including Ozempic due to a family history of diabetes. To date over two and a half years I am down over 45 pounds. She has a nack of gently reteaching the patient how to eat smart. Portion control is her favorite phrase. With her support I have come to realize the wisdom of "portion control." Now within 20 some pounds of my goal she continues to gently coach me to the goal. read more

I've been searching for a good family doctor for years. I have found a Gem in Dr. Gerayli. Although, I had to wait awhile to get in... It was worth the wait! She went out of her way to listen to me and she was so caring, and has a charming since of humor. She is going to get me back on track with my medical issues. She also uses the holistic approch when needed! I generally don't like doctors. But I can't wait for my next appointment! read more

I have decided to write a review after having had several office visits to make sure that my comments would be accurate and reliable. I was originally referred to Dr. Gerayli by my Gynecologist because of a medical problem that my Gynecologist thought should be handled by an internist. I found the staff very accommodating and flexible with my very busy schedule. I was especially impressed that the doctor reviewed all my health history that was taken by her MA earlier and I was also impressed that they had electronic access to my prescription history though they were prescribed by other doctors. I found her very knowledgeable and a good listener which has always been very important for me. I have since transferred the care of my parents to the same office. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a competent doctor with a personal and compassionate touch. read more

Somehow my review is not recommended through yelp, when I'm the one who wrote in to yelp to have this address updated in order to post a business review. Again, let me reiterate this a business review. I've been going to drs. for 21 years and care taking for 5 years. this office staff truly damaged my perspective of Camarillo. For the location, it's ideal. Peaceful, however the staff gave my father and I the impression that, here, they choose to treat those who care about their family differently, almost as if caring is a nuisance. This was made very clear to us by the staff's intolerance for my concern regarding my father's health on multiple occasions. Had them for about 5 months. Let me make this clear: good Dr, however, some serious pondering should go into the hiring before attaining an office staff like this one! no question read more

Dr. G is a very knowledgeable and caring internist. She is up to date with all the new medications and technological advances. More than anything else she listens. She has provided all services under one roof so I don't have to travel to different places. Even the lab is next door. She is very informed about nutrition and vitamins and does not push any products like other offices. I moved to Camarillo recently and saw Dr. Gerayli's positive reviews on another website. Unfortunately my experience has been similar to other reviews on this website. The staff were polite, but I was made to feel like they didn't have time for me. On my first appointment no one took a thorough health history and Dr. Gerayli gave me very generic advice about general health concerns for women my age. She didn't take any time to know or care about my individual health concerns. No one ever followed up with test results from my appointment and the prescription I really need has not been called in to the pharmacy. I'm now having to spend considerable extra time to ensure I can get my prescription when I really want to just be done with Dr. Gerayli and her office. read more
