Sacco 1800 Sutter St #100, Concord, CA 94520 Approximately 4 months ago, I had my 1st Orthopedic appointment with Dr. Michael F. Sacco in lieu of my Carpal Tunnel. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very professional, friendly staff. I had never been to an Orthopedic Surgeon before, didn't know what to expect, I had "White Coat Syndrome", tense, full of anxiety. However, I found him to be Professional, Knowledgeable, Personable, Thorough. He was very friendly, and informative, direct, and I like/appreciate his candor. He explained his findings, diagnosis, options and treatment plan for positive resolution. Last but not least, to my surprise, he has a great sense of humor. He put my mind at ease. By the time my appointment was over, I felt like I had known him for a while, and I was anxiety free. I'm very glad that I was referred to him by my Orthopedic Doctor. I would not want to go to any Orthopedic Surgeon. I highly recommend this Orthopedic Surgeon/office. I have had several post op appointments with Dr. Sacco since my Carpal Tunnel Surgery for my Right Hand Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The most recent was yesterday 11/27/2023. All I can add to this review is that I truly believe Dr. Sacco is the Best In The Business ~hands down.... He listens well, examines your injury thoroughly, treats you accordingly. Genuinely cares about his patients!! He and his staff are Always knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Last but not least, they are consistent. I hate going to doctors appointments in general. However, I don't mind going to Dr. Sacco because I know he has my best interest at heart and he is Not just in it for the money. Obviously, I still highly recommend Dr. Sacco if you need an excellent Dr./Surgeon for your Hand/Wrist/ Elbow/Shoulder. Thank you Dr. Michael F. Sacco for taking such good care of my hand/Orthopedic needs. Sincerely, Gloria Hackett Dials

I get that it happens but according to the receptionist the provider called in earlier and I was her first appt so I should have gotten some notice The receptionist wanted me to drive another 30mins away so I could be seen today. I explained that I didn't have more time to accommodate this and then she was openly hostile and started to chastise me that she was just trying to explain my options. I guess I was supposed to only provide yes/no responses. No apology just a bunch of disorganization, hostility, and disregard for basic curtesy and professionalism.

I had recently undergone back surgery and mentioned that my leg had been hurting. Even though I was there for my hip, Dr. Feng immediately took the concern seriously. He stopped what he was doing, performed a thorough examination of both of my legs, and told me he was concerned I might have blood clots. He sent me directly to the hospital for testing, where it was confirmed that I had blood clots in both legs. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Feng's attentiveness, compassion, and professionalism. His willingness to listen carefully and go beyond the immediate reason for my visit made all the difference. I truly believe his actions may have saved my life, and I will always be thankful to have had him as my doctor.

So, the poor operator was lied to by their upper management. I feel so sorry for her to have to deliver such news, with no notice to the patient. Their website states he is still there. So I waited all weekend instead of going to the ER/ED. I then was told he was gone. But get this, their website AND phone message states they have Urgent Walk-in Clinic. So, another reason I waited, to go on Monday. But NOPE, THEY CLOSED THIS TOO. BUT STILL ON THEIR WEBSITE. Maybe while you're cancelling doctors, you also get your web team to make the correct changes on your website so people don't delay treatment thinking they are going to see their doctor, or be able to go to Urgent Care. And if this is how they manage their office, imagine how they handle their surguries or injections!! My guess is if their CEO, Steven Hammarstrom, cannot run the practice correctly, you don't want who they hired to touch your body. Stay away. Now I am needing injections, and I have no where to go, no doctor to oversee me. This is a blatant lack of care, and if the CEO is a Doctor, he should be ashamed of himself; Steve Hammarstrom I am talking directly to you!

From what I understand, the tear…read morewas fairly substantial, and it was not automatic that surgery would be able to repair it. Also, from what I understand, including the pictures she showed me, she was successful in reattaching it. Without being an expert on these things, it still seems to me that Dr. Timmerman is an experienced and skilled surgeon. That, of course, is by far and away the most important thing in looking for a surgeon. The reason I am not giving her an unreserved five star rating is the following: In our postoperative visit one week after the surgery, I felt Dr. Timmerman was very rushed. She showed me pictures of the shoulder and the surgery, which I appreciated, but kind of rushed through her explanation of what the pictures represent. As somebody who has zero knowledge or understanding of such things, I really did not understand it all and did not feel comfortable to ask her to repeat her explanations. Nor did she really take time to just sit down and say, "OK, how are you feeling? How is everything ?" I did not come away feeling clear on what I can and cannot do during the entire three months of my recovery period, nor on what the prognosis is for a fairly full recovery of the use of my shoulder. The whole appointment was maybe five minutes and I was asking her questions as she literally had 1 foot out the door of the room. Now I understand that doctors can be very busy, but I really do feel like they have to make time to create an atmosphere in which a patient can feel comfortable asking questions. After all, the recovery period is important. I am not sure how to say this: I appreciate the experience and apparent skill that Dr. Timmerman brings to the table. But as just some older guy who just wants to live out his remaining years being comfortable, active, and as productive as he can, I have to wonder if in the field of sports medicine us older people are sufficiently recognized for who we are.

The surgery made my problem worse. Never got over that. Could have been because it was workers…read morecomp.

Dr. Mike helped me pinpoint exactly what was limiting me and built a simple, targeted plan that actually fit into my existing training, and now overhead work no longer feels tight or painful--I'm moving better, feeling stronger, and even PR'd my jerk by 20 lbs thanks to a much better receiving position. He's also been great at helping me manage smaller issues along the way and really listens, making adjustments that work for my goals; working with him feels like having a real coach and medical expert in my corner, and I'd recommend him to anyone--athlete or not--who wants to fix the root cause instead of just chasing symptoms.

I rested, scaled back, and even tried a few massages, but after a month with no improvement, I knew I needed something more. I decided to give Dr. Mike a shot since he's part of our CrossFit community and has a great reputation at the gym. Being a former coach, he truly understands the movements we do and the intensity we train at. That made a huge difference. I also shared that I'm a busy mom and don't have a lot of extra time for long rehab routines, and he completely got it. He gave me simple, effective exercises I could realistically stick to, while actively working on rehabbing my shoulder. What I appreciated most is that he didn't just tell me to stop or "take it easy." He understood my goals and helped me keep moving forward safely without feeling like I was losing progress. Now my shoulder is completely healed. At my worst, I couldn't even lift my arm to shoulder height--now I'm back to doing everything in CrossFit, and honestly feel stronger than before. He didn't just fix the injury--he helped me build a better foundation so I can avoid this happening again. Highly recommend!
