Dr Narloch and his staff are the best. He has helped me relieve the pain in my back. I would highly recommend Dr Narloch.

MALPRACTICE! I had a 11:00 a.m. appointment, arrived at 10:50, was told that Narloch (not doctor because that's a profession that takes its patients into account) was running 40 minutes late. At 11:30, I went back up to the desk and was told that he was now running one hour late! DO NOT TRUST THE 5 STAR RATINGS! read more

First of all if you should ever go to Golden State Ortho know that this is a huge sweeping corporate practice with around 20 offices. They do a majority of their business with workers compensation cases. Beware; they could care less about their patients. Their focus is helping the workers compensation insurance companies by minimizing or outright lying about a workers diagnosis so they can get kick back from the insurance companies by writing up false minimizing reports to the insurance companies so that the insurance companies can escape paying the money needed for proper care and procedures for the patients/injured workers. "Dr" Warlock is a case in point. Here's the dirt: Some years ago I had a Polish friend who slipped and fell on a wet floor at work, landed on her butt and seriously ruptured 3 disks in her lower back. Her English was not too great and she was overwhelmed by the workers comp and healthcare systems. Because I also have herniated disks and successfully beat the worker compensation system, I oversaw her care and helped her every way I could. My friend had hurt her back about 3 months before this experience and she was in horrible acute pain and told me that Dr Warlock blew her off in her first appointment , so I went with her to her next appointment. Warlock walked into the room quite late and my friend introduced me as her companion and escort to make sure she didn't fall. He was instantly suspicious of me and his rudeness and abrasiveness was dripping from the walls. Again, in my presence he blew her off and told her that although her MRI indicated 3 ruptured (Herniated) disks, she didn't have any herniated disks. He told her to keep on with Physical Therapy. The films were up on the light board when he told her this, so I told the good dr, "Well Dr, if I may, I happen to be a veteran of back surgeries due to herniated discs. I have 2 of my own. L5/S1 has had 2 discectomys, and C7 is fused". Then I pointed to the film and showed him the 3 LARGE SIGNIFICANT bulges that were incredibly obvious in my friend's lower lumbar spine on the films. It was as if I thrown a bucket of cold water on him. He was overcome with hostility and told the both of us, "This appointment is over" then looked at me and told me "You need to leave". As we were walking out, my friend looked at me with dread and told me, "Can you help me find a lawyer?" So I found her a lawyer. But she was locked into Dr Warlock because he was the designated Dr that the Work Comp insurance company assigned her to, and there was nothing that the lawyer could do about it. As it all played out, my friend DID have 2 unsuccesfull bungled surgeries done by Dr Warlock and she has been living in really bad chronic pain ever since. Any questions? Here's a good suggestion: RUNNNNNN!!!!! read more

Dr. Narloch is caring and eliminated my back pain with an epidural. I recommend him highly

Dr. Narlock was in a major rush when I saw him and acted like he was doing me a favor by being there. He seemed annoyed with my questions and basically couldn't get out of the room fast enough. He's awful.... will never go back. read more

cancelled my procedure despite my last minute transportation arrangements. would not allow just a pick up, insisted my ride had to be present in the clinic. not very accommodating! not very nice. Dr Narloch became argumentative & cancelled my epidural. This caused me to prolong my pain & reschedule. I'm not at all happy with the Danville clinic & especially not happy with Dr Narloch. I won't let him touch me! read more

Dr. Narloch is very good and caring. But his staff is a big let down, and never returns calls or follow ups.

My Neck has arthrithis and tie severed discs. Dr.Norloch is doing an MRi and then an epidermal. I really like his kindness and feel I am in capable hands. He came highly recommended. read more

I have not had any negative experiences with Dr. Narloch, He's a busy DR. As they all are and by reviewing ex rays of a MRI he is trained to read them quickly so for those who complain about the bedside manner perhaps he's not for you !!! read more

Doctor Narloch has been excellent with his treatment of my chronic L5/S1 post Cauda Equina condition. Communication is crucial in a medical professional and Dr. Narloch is very easy to talk to. Though he has been the third specialist that I have seen, he was the first to actually show me my MRI on the screen, point out the damage, and explain to me what is going on. I very much appreciate the hard news that he broke to me, that two other spine specialists seemed to tap dance around. If you have questions about your condition, lay them on the man, he'll tell ya straight. G read more

I had one appointment with the doctor, and we just didn't click. I'm 64 years old, and I've had more than a few encounters with health care providers. The ones who've been the most helpful have been those who took a genuine interest in me and my current activities, past history, and future goals. I got none of that during my visit. The Dr's cup was full after looking for a few seconds at an x-ray of my spine. He had nothing to learn from me. He knew everything about who I was and what I needed from those few seconds looking at an image of my spine. His diagnosis was that my spine is worn, and I need to strengthen my core. I worked 44 years in the construction industry, so I know already that my spine is warn; I live in it every day. He never asked about my occupation, diet, water intake, history, lifestyle, exercise/sports (I brought up golf, and he suggested finding another sport). He said I need to do Pilates. That was it. That was all I got from him. When I got home I watched some videos of Pilates. It looked a lot like what I was already doing. Mine just didn't have a fancy name. So, I'm no better off for seeing him, nor he for seeing me. It was a waste of my time and money. I have no idea of Dr. Narloch's skills. I'm not trying to impune him in any way Perhaps he helps many people. I hope that is the case. He's just not for me. read more

It's a busy practice and you can sit for a long time in one of their patient rooms for a ten minute consult -but it's busy because the dude know his stuff. I have never had a dr do something that gave me so much pain relief in the 40+ years I've had back pain. I would recommend having all your concerns written down and be prepared to go quickly through them, if you are ok with that I highly recommend trying him. Maybe you will end up as happy as I am! read more

Let me start by acknowledging Dr. Narloch is good at injections. I had long lasting relief from Sciatic pain 12 years ago. Today I consulted him for a new issue. I brought my CD for recent spine X-ray because I was told this practice has no access to the Epic system. I have a new issue with intermittent back pain on the left side, no sciatic. The office is shared with the urgent care. I had to stand in line with those without appointments. The wait was almost an hour. There was no signage to identify his office. His PA was not feeling well & he had difficulty taking my history. He told me it was allergies. It was frustrating because I came very well prepared for providing history. Dr. Narloch did not do an examination. He seemed very disinterested & dismissive. He told me does not prescribe pain medications for "chronic pain". He told me my back was "shot" He was willing to prescribe a muscle relaxer. I was rushed through the visit. I was given a piece of paper with Pain Management Referrals. The prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy after I instructed the assistant where to send it. I had to wait for a call back to communicate with the office about this. There was no way to speak directly to the office to correct this. It was later sent to the correct pharmacy. I requested a callback from the manager & that didn't happen. So here I am, yelping. read more

My appointment was at 1:45, after long waiting while I am in pain he came at 3:15, after I complained to the front desk he is late , he was standing there and said you can reschedule!, I told him no I am in pain. So he came to the room and stand by the door, and told me why you didn't see you previous doctor, I said no near appointment and I am in Pain. He said just a minute and go and check the system there is appointment next month. I said again I am in PAIN, he said I can't see you and I can't help you, I said can you give me the injections the other doctor gave me last time, he said no not my specuality ( even he is a pain management ) . In summery Golden statet providers deal with patients as "clients" not people need help because they are in pain, the worst ever provider I see in my life, never waste your time and see him and the golden state in general is a bad care provider .ThEy Dont care ABOUT you. They don't feel your pain. Doctors needs to have compassion and care and help patients with pain.I am so disappointed, never see this doctor or go to this place . read more

I received two epidural injections today by Dr. Narloch and Staff. Results beyond expectations, no more sciatica on my right leg and no more lower back pain. The staff was very professional, like busy worker bees knew exactly what to do next and were very kind. This was my 4th epidural from Dr. Narloch and staff. Highly recommended. read more

Dr. Narloch misdiagnosed my foot pain. I am also the caretaker for my mom. His office made my mom come in person during covid. He never touched her, never asked her to walk just asked about her walker. He totally put both of us at risk. We are high covid risk people. Also, he did not tell me we needed an appointment to get a refill for back pain meds. He had no one to cover him. They told me to he was not available for 8 days and I could not do telehealth even though I explained our risk situation and our experience at our last visit. They told me to take my mom to urgent care. I am not going back! read more

I believe Dr. Narloch is one of the best in the business. I have received injections for my lower back and neck for years. They give me relief for 6-12 months and beats the alternative of surgery, that trades one pain for another. The Dr. and all of his staff are very compassionate with a special shout out to Brandy. Thank you to all. read more

I have previously had 2 sets of bilateral lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injections done by another physician. During those procedures my nerves were hit with the needle MANY times and it was incredibly painful. The 3rd time (now with Dr. Narloch) I was terrified and prepared for that to happen again...but it did not. I barely felt ANYTHING at all, I was literally in shock. He was very kind and explained everything. He took his time and didn't make it feel like you were being rushed through like a mill as I had felt in previous experiences. I will not go to any other doctor for injections from now on. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. Terrible experience. Made me feel like I was a waste of his time. Seemed to have that older man superiority over women. Did not offer any real solution to my back pain and then avoided any extra work to get a referral to my insurance company for an MRI. read more

Dr Narloch can be a charismatic, caring physician and I do not have any criticism of his skills as I have had several epidural injections by his hand. My problem is with his pain management knowledge and bedside manner. Recently I went to see him for another epidural. I was in terrible pain. I was told that it was too soon for my next epidural. Then he announced there was nothing more he could do for me. I was in shock! How can he send me out of his office feeling so vulnerable and hopeless? I subsequently went to another doctor who told me I could have another injection as enough time had passed and then also offered other alternatives to mitigate my symptoms. So Dr N. lost a patient and I gained a more knowledgeable and helpful physician. read more

Fantastic doctor got my shot and the pain went away

I am a new patient of Dr. Narloch, referred by my Primary Care Physician for my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. After the consultation, Dr. Narloch told me that I should undergo EMG test. I was so surprised and felt so important, though I am a first time patient, Dr. Narloch didn't let me wait for so long to have my test done......A day after my consultation, Dr. Narloch himself did my EMG test. Thanks a lot...also to his medical assistant who also took care of me. God Bless Guys..... read more

Have seen Dr. Narloch yearly for at least 3 years to get epidurals for my low back pain. Very good doctor with extremely accurate hands.

There seemed to be a lot of negative comments about Dr. Narloch, so decided to post. I overheard him, prior to meeting him, talking to patients awaiting procedures and had a good feeling. When we met face-to-face, he greeted me with a handshake and explained clearly and care the procedure and what to expect along with what he hoped would be the outcome. He was very nice and should I need injections again, I wouldn't hesitate to request him. read more

Dr. Narloch performed an injection which went well, and I have no complaints regarding that portion of my experience. That said, he doesn't actually seem interested in me as a patient or human being. At my first visit, I felt he was in a rush to see me and get me out the door as quickly as possible. I thought he might have just been behind for the day, so I didn't let it bother me too much. However, on my most recent visit, following up from the injection, I found his manner exactly the same. Further, he didn't remember details I had shared in our previous visits or those that had been noted on my self-supplied history or shared with his staff. It seemed he was done with me and just wanted to kick me on to the next doctor. I was referred by another doctor from Muir Orthopaedics Specialists, so maybe this is just standard procedure among the group. Perhaps I've just been spoiled by my experience with a truly great doctor who did both "Pain Management" as well as performed injections. (I'd still be seeing that doctor, but he is located in another state. I'm feeling it might be worth it to travel for treatment, though.) Whatever the case, Joseph Narloch is definitely not a *great* doctor, and I would not recommend him. read more

I have been a regular patient of Dr. Narloch for almost 10 years. From the very start, Dr. Narloch has always shown genuine caring and compassion for me during my episodes of extreme pain. His treatments not only enabled me to return to work after several injuries, but greatly improved my quality of life by relieving my symptoms as much as could be expected. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Narloch as my pain management physician and would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody else. The office staff is also extremely professional and efficient, and the registration process does not bother me as it seems to bother some other reviewers. This is an extremely busy office with MANY physicians, and I think they are very efficient when one takes that into consideration. read more

Although I am a Kaiser patient, I go outside the Kaiser system to Dr. Narloch for my epidurals, paying cash. I want the best possible treatment and results. For his procedure, he uses fluoroscopy (x-ray), sedation (versed), making a scary procedure almost pain free. Most importantly I appreciate the expertise and professionalism of Dr. Narloch and his staff. I'm 60 years old and have been seen by many different doctors over the past 10 years for back pain, but the one physician I feel most comfortable with, trust completely, and recommend to my friends and family is Dr. Narloch. read more

Does this doctor LISTEN to his patient? I saw him twice in less than a week and he couldn't remember any details about my accident - how it happened, what my symptoms were or if I was in pain or not. When I saw him to do the needed procedure it was the same situation. Then to top it off, I was supposed to see him two weeks after the procedure to evaluate it - and I got a voice mail cancelling the follow-up. When I called to reschedule I couldn't see him for over a month afterwards. NOT impressed! read more
