My wife ordered the Pineapple Paloma and the Wagyu Beef Ribs. The Paloma was $20, but it tasted weak. No one asked if we wanted water, and since I noticed a water pitcher at the bar, I assumed it was self-service. It wasn't until about 10 minutes after my wife received her drink that we were finally brought glasses of ice water. The Wagyu beef ribs were tender, and my wife liked that the sauce wasn't overly sweet. They were advertised as spicy, but they didn't have much of a kick. The onion rings that came with the meal were extremely hard. When I cut into one my wife gave me, half of it shot right off the plate. I ordered the Ribeye Steak Frites. It was interesting, I never had steak and fries slathered in gravy before. The dish had good flavor, but it just wasn't my personal preference. I did appreciate that they provided chopsticks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the food was average, but the view was wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service, however, felt lacking. I can't say for sure, but I couldn't help wondering if we didn't receive the best service because we didn't "look the part." We were driving home from Electric Forest, so I was wearing a Demon Slayer Hawaiian shirt, and my wife was dressed comfortably in a T-shirt and slacks. She wanted to order another drink, but our waitress didn't return until after we had finished eating. By then, we were ready to leave. Because of the slow and inattentive service, we ended up leaving a 10% tip.

Sun came out as soon as we sat down for lunch and some light wind made it hard to navigate some food items but really cool place to try with great views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]People make me nervous near the edge as well as loud groups. Yes were outside but we dont need the entire skyline of Chicago to hear you as well. Maybe I am just getting old.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our lunch was just enough - the bacon dip was great but the chips could be better. I take it they were baked but they just fell apart. I might rather have potato skins or even just sliced baguette. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place would be cool to come back to at night on a summer night or even a special party for a small group of girlfriends or something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server got lost for a second but the secondary staff was very attentive in clearing dishes.
Services are great friendly and super nice to be honest the drinks are great super good just right. Food ehhh it's mixed emotions to be honest the burger was good but way too much sauce and onions over kill bacon was super good. Steak fries ehhh that sauce the put on the fries not a fan of it it was just a bit weird to be honest and too much of it also kills the taste of the fries. The short ribs are not that good and not enough meat on them but more fat on them. The shrimp cocktail was good though not bad. Price for the taste way too much to be honest needs to be a bit cheaper for the taste but come and try it for your self like I always tell everyone but [[HIGHLIGHT]]great views for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Made a reservation here for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located on top of the LondonHouse - this was situated outside on the terrace.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cool views and we had a nice day of weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was some delays in service despite a ton of staff running around. We started with the jalapeno popper dip which was good and came with tortilla chips. I just scooped the dip with a fork - had some nice kick to it and the flavor was good. For my meal I went with the burger - cooked medium. It came with a sauce on top of it and two large strips of bacon. This was really good, and I substituted the fries for a side Caesar salad. Overall really good - the old fashioned I started with was standard as well.
My girl friends and I came from San Diego to Chicago to meet our favorite author, one of the must to-dos for our trip was to check out a Rooftop Bar. I found LH online and booked us a reservation, after a quick dinner and a walk at Navy Pier, we walked over to LH Rooftop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hotel itself is stunning it's at a prime location right next to the water so we were all really excited to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We took the elevator which is directly in front of the host stand, I will say this, the hostess was so rude and really didn't make us feel welcomed, she told us that in order for us to sit at the bar we'd need to fill a food quota? Not told when I made a reservation but we had walked a good distance so of course we stayed. Our server was nice and accommodating, we were sat a cute low top. We ordered truffle fries and sticky toffee pudding a round of cocktails. I ordered the Smoke Show, because they were out of Bad Bunny. The drinks are so good, super flavorful and had the right amount of booze to keep us warm. Okay now the food, we were full from dinner so our light bites were perfect. The crips were crisp and salty and had the right amount of truffle that black garlic aioli is insane and the sticky toffee pudding reminded me of London. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After our meal we went to the rooftop and took a ton of photos, because we came in the beginning of March there weren't any bartenders upstairs but it was just as fun and beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Minus our earlier interaction we had a great time and would definitely recommend LH Rooftop to others.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]The views of the city are amazing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the drinks were tasty! The bad bunny is a great drink it's not too sweet and not too bitter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area is however rather small and fills up pretty quickly even during the weekday when I went.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you have reservations for the rooftop that would be a better not option but I wouldn't suggest popping in just to go to the bar.
One star for the service. When I went to the rooftop bar I ordered a drink that tasted pretty good. However, after I ordered my drink and looked at the view, I went back to the bar to ask for a few napkins because my drink spilled all over me... there were about four bartenders at the bar and not one of them stopped, turned their head or payed any attention to my existence RIGHT in front of them. It took about two or three minutes trying to get their help until someone came up to me and brought me napkins. Mind you, there was no other customer at the bar at the time either. Just me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The additional star is for the view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would recommend this place to everyone I know because it's so nice however I have not been able to get past the poor manners and treatment that I received. I'm writing this review now after some time has passed simply because the service was so outrageous and unprofessional.
You go to the LH Rooftop for the views and not much else. The hostesses are incredibly rude and not once was it communicated to us that you needed to order food. We had grabbed food inside while waiting for our table not knowing. The truffle fries were good. The cocktails were okay. You pay for the views and sacrifice the rest.
First time here and it was a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, Joanna was tool care of us and delivered a memorable visit. We had Brunch here, Chicken and Waffles was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and moist. The Creole Shrimp and Grits was creamy . The drinks, Spicy Hibiscus Margarita is a must have! They not shy about tequila. The atmosphere is so chill and relax. The draw is the view! You dont get the view from the dining room, however you have go to the 22nd floors and enjoy the view of the city. The rooftop is open with dining and bars during the season. Highly recommended if you are visiting Chicago.
I found about the rooftop from TikTok. I pre booked my reservation a few weeks out before my trip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rooftop was nicely decorated with flowers. It was very pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went after 4pm & it was incredibly warm, & the sun was beaming straight at my face. I was a sweaty mess, and had to block the sun with their menu. I wish they would have had umbrellas or some shaded seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My server Ruben was very polite & friendly. He was very helpful with his suggestions. I ordered the purple rain cocktail. It was light & refreshing. Not too sweet or strong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to grab one drink and leave because it was way too hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Please note, for table reservations, you have to order food which I wasn't aware of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If I go back, I'll make sure to have an appetite & go in the evening to experience a better vibe with twilight views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also, I wanted to note, the view would've been a bit better if it were facing away from a certain hotel, haha.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Extremely hard to get a reservation after 4:30pm for the rooftop once the pop up starts. Holiday White Russian is delicious but drinks and food are typically overpriced. The holiday rooftop is adorable and you don't have to rent an igloo to experience it. You don't need a reservation to see the holiday rooftop but expect a line if you don't. read more

Immaculate views with the utmost respect and quality was served effortlessly here at the LH Rooftop. The servers graced the rooftop with such decorum while their etiquette was clearly normalized in such an environment. The vibe was spectacular! I honestly couldn't wait to be seated in our reserved seating. Which we were seated immediately upon arrival. Reservations are definitely recommended but not required. My daughter and I attended LH Rooftop on a Sunday Afternoon with reservations for 11am. It was a gorgeous afternoon while being graced with such outstanding hospitality from the LH Rooftop staff. We were seated smack dab in the middle with views from either sides. My kid was speechless of the views and blown away from being so high up while eating. Hahah! It seemed impossible for her. Definitely a time and memory to remember! We ordered the London House breakfast, along with the Sky High Cinnamon Bun. Also, I ordered the purple rain martini. It was pretty good! Something I wouldn't mind ordering again. The breakfast was great and the cinnamon bun put the sweetness on top. The portions were more than enough! Kid and I shared everything and still leftovers. Of course we came for the unbeatable view of the city. It's actually the best there is to offer! Had a few cocktails at the bar. We were not hotel guests but we went through the line to obtain access. The staff were so friendly and had great, positive attitudes. We will be back for the food soon! read more

Visiting from Texas and this spot was highly recommended for the stunning views. It definitely had stunning views, however seating is extremely limited and you def have to make a reservation. Drinks start at like $20 as well. The bartender was nice and friendly and added a flower to my drink because I wanted something girly so I'd say they had pretty good service. Had friends in town staying at the London house and met them for drinks and a light bite. Great view of river and ambiance! Service rather quickly, would recommend a reservation or going as a hotel guest. Cesar salad was phenomenal had an amazing homemade dressing. Would definitely come back read more
Some of the best brunch food I've ever had! I'm surprised they don't have a higher rating. First of all we were lucky enough to get the last cinnamon roll and I'm so glad we did. Our whole table crushed it! It's big enough for 4-5 easily. I kept it simple with the biscuit egg sandwich and biscuit was light and fluffy and bacon was crisp. Very nice experience the rooftop was amazing and I tried the spicy hibiscus margarita which was super good and spicy. I did have the whole rooftop to myself, which was amazing especially since it was nighttime and I could see the skyscrapers. Beautiful experience and very pleasant management. Next time I will make sure to reserve a igloo, especially if I know it's gonna rain. read more
We were very excited to try this beautiful rooftop bar. We were seated with a PERFECT view for sunset. We ordered a round of drinks and everyone enjoyed their drinks while I had mine remade because there was a bug in it. I understand we're on a rooftop bar, no big deal. Another one was remade for me in an adequate time. We received our food and began digging in to only find out there was a hair inside of our jalapeño dip. The bite we took before we realized there was a hair in it was amazing. We also received the beef skewers and those were FANTASTIC. We told our server we found a hair inside of our food and instead of just politely taking the item back to the kitchen to inspect she made us point out where the hair was. She asked if we wanted another one and said "just so you guys know it's going to take about 20 minutes" not necessarily rude but we deemed it an inappropriate response. She did apologize about the bug but we didn't receive one about the dip. We waited for a manager to come over to our table at some point alas they did not. The view is great, the food was awesome too but maybe just taking an extra few seconds to look over food or drink before serving it to a guest would go a long way. read more

When I lucked up and got a last minute 1pm Sunday brunch reservation for two at LondonHouse the night before, I didn't really know what to expect. I just thought the view was pretty in pictures. Pictures don't do this place justice. Expect a breathtaking beautiful city view, great service, delicious food, and mindfully crafted cocktails. You might have to swat away a bee, especially if you get the Peach Dream cocktail. Apparently bees like bourbon too! read more

Do yourself a favor and book a reservation. Don't try to walk in. We reserved the day before, all the people for check in were kind of grumpy which was sad. Once we got to our table, they give you a card with what time you need to be done. Drinks were good, food we got was good and the view is beautiful. Pretzel board was delicious and the pumpkin basque cheesecake was sooooo good. We sat under the pergola on the left side if you're facing the view. Someone else mentioned this but I counted 12 spiders above/beside us. One almost dropped on me but my husband caught it and moved it. For us, not a big deal since these were normal autumn spiders that aren't a problem to us but for others I can see how that's off putting. read more

I am really skeptical of rooftops' quality of food and drinks, but LH really impressed me! The cocktails were well-made and strong with attention to detail. I got the espresso martini and it was delicious with a nice ratio of foam!! Not to mention the view is one of the best in the city. There's an indoor bar one level below the rooftop which is a nice spot to pop in when the unplanned rainfalls hit. The rooftop doesn't have much coverage other than over the bar area. Great views and a decent amount of space on both. Definitely will be back! read more
Came here for drinks on a Friday night. The rooftop area was smaller than I thought and it was too cold to actually hang around outside. I wish they had heat lamps or a covered area. It felt like a waste for them to not have something like that. I saw they did have those clear igloos but it didn't seem like they were in use. Idk might come back in the summer months... read more

Always a good time!! During summer I make sure to check for reservations a month or two in advance if I want an optimal evening time, especially on a weekend. It's hard to get reservations otherwise. You could definitely walk in but I wouldn't recommend unless you are okay with standing room only next to the bar, and not really being able to be close to the side of the building to see the view. I recommend reserving around sunset so you can see the sunset glow and then the city light up! Make sure to reserve the rooftop and not the indoor area. There is no view in the indoor area, which is a floor below the rooftop. There's no windows so it doesn't matter that you're high up! Just feels like you're inside a hotel restaurant. I've been here a couple of times now and I always appreciate that the reserved table seating on the rooftop is next to the edge of the building so you can see the river, bridges, everything! Sometimes the people who are walk-ins don't stay in the standing area and they move to the space in between the reserved tables and the side of the building to get photos. I super super appreciate that the security and staff are diligent about asking those people to move back to the bar area, because that space is so small and they are basically hovering over your table and blocking the view! If the security wasn't on top of it, we would not have had as good an experience because it really changes the vibe when strangers are crowded around your table. The food is so good! I've tried a lot of different apps and mains here, and the menu has changed a little each time, so some things I had aren't on the menu anymore. I was surprised at how delicious everything is! Especially anything with wagyu or steak, and anything that is Asian-inspired cuisine. It's a high price point but it makes a lot of sense considering you are paying for good quality food with a great ambience. Cocktails are always great too! Some are pretty unique and all have been tasty. Definitely recommend this spot, especially when showing out-of-town folks around Chicago! read more
If you're looking for an attainable rooftop experience in Chicago, look no further! On a Friday/ Saturday night, you can expect a line to get on the elevator up to the rooftop, but the line moves quickly. We ended up waiting around 20 minutes on a Friday night at 8pm. Once you're at the top, the view is the real draw -- the bar itself is OK, but be prepared to spend $$$$ on drinks. A basic Gin & Tonic costs what a fancy drink would cost at a normal bar, but you're paying for the view. I'd definitely recommend stopping by around sunset; the view is spectacular and absolutely worth it. That said, I'd definitely recommend getting a reservation if possible. Most of the reserved tables take up the railing area, and the two small spots at the railing that are open to standing room fill up quickly (for good reason!) Overall, if you're visiting Chicago or showing folks around, it's absolutely worth a visit once! read more
Who can miss the opportunity to visit a rooftop in Chicago in the month of March when the weather is in 70s? Not me!? LH Rooftop is my go-to place to get a couple of drinks and soak in the majestic river and skyline views. We recently visited the rooftop to try their early St. Patty drinks. My friends got a Leprechaun Mimosa and Irish Luck drinks and I got an Espresso Martini. Irish luck was a bit sweet for my taste! I always get my out of towner friends to this place because of convenience as it's in the heart of the city and they offer good views. They also serve food and I've probably tried only once, it was OK! I prefer to get drinks at this place usually. read more

This is hands down my favorite rooftop spot in Chicago! I had a friend visiting from out of town, and I just had to bring him here. The place offers absolutely stunning views that give a holistic picture of how beautiful Chicago truly is. We arrived around 10 PM on a Monday night, and luckily, due to it being a weekday, there was no queue. We ordered the Bad Bunny and Forever Summer cocktails. Lately, I've been enjoying cocktails with refreshing flavors, so the Forever Summer was perfect for me. My friend, on the other hand, was looking for a stronger drink with more spirit, and he loved the Bad Bunny. Since we walked in late, there wasn't much seating available, but there are plenty of standing spots which worked just fine for us. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Great views, with decent food (on the pricier side). There are no shaded areas on the rooftop but that wasn't an issue for us, the hostess made sure everyone knew this info prior to being seated. Also worth noting it's standing room only unless you order food. Food portions/prices were typical of a higher end restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed hangin on the rooftop and soaking up the sun! read more

Open bar Open seating and reserved section Can't really hear music playing if there was Seems to be a busy spot: business folks, group outing, and solo travelers Certainly for the view over looking the city and river. Excellent experience. Having been a few times on weekends I know the service is best in afternoon. In the evenings it can get a little hectic. Understandably so. They charge pretty exhorbitant prices for the best rooftop accommodations but it's free to stand up there and the view is breath taking. Be careful, one time they kindly asked if we wanted water and then charged us like $62 for bottles sparkling water. Staff is professional but they are some hustlers and will treat you like a rich snob by default. Great spot for one drink or a fancy dinner but would not recommend over-staying as they will find ways to start up charging. read more
Came here on a Friday and made reservations just in case for a lunch at 1 o'clock. We got here early and receded immediately in the reserved area of the dining section. To my surprise this area never really got even half full even though we were there for a solid two hours. The menu is pretty diverse with everything from the usual bar fair to more sophisticated items. We ordered a mix of things from Fry's to chicken skewers udon noodles with beef and it was cute. It came in into Chinese takeout box although please note udon noodles are Japanese. Also, the drinking beer selection was pretty broad. Service was great and she wasn't rushing us, and she also made some recommendations which was very helpful Because it never really reached half capacity it was nice quiet and calm, which was very relaxing especially for Friday afternoon I came here because I had a tourist friend in town, and we took advantage of the ambience as well as the rooftop for pictures and views. She absolutely loved it. Another great plus was the valet prices here I found out it is cheaper to valet at the hotel than to do a self park at a nearby garage as the rate for the longer term is cheaper read more
The lady reserved a reservation just hours after becoming available (3 or 4 weeks in advance) and spots went fast, leaving us with an early 5:45 dinner time. The table is only reserved for 90 minutes also. The views, for one, are amazing as you can see. On a Saturday at 6 pm they weren't very busy, empty tables all along the rooftop. The servers and busboys are all so polite. We started off with some bao buns, which were outstanding. I've never had any sort of bao buns but since having these, I need more! The general tso chicken was so tasty, along with coleslaw that I've come to love. I went on to order the classic burger and she got the stir fry. My burger was good, nothing too eye catching but it was definitely tasty. The special sauce is just like any other special sauce...incredible! I had a couple bites of her stir fry and I can say the noodles were a bit mushy. The stir fry had a good taste to it but the very soft noodles threw me off for sure. The views here are fabulous, the service is top tier, and the food is overall good. I want to say the tab was like $115 or so for 2 beer, 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and I think just one cocktail. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great date night for sure. read more

Had an early lunch here and the food and drinks were pretty good. After seeing so many negative reviews I was concerned we would not like it. We did. We both had the cheese burgers and mimosas. The service was prompt and the servers were attentive. read more

Depends on day and time. I would make a reservation for sure
How do I make a reservation for the Rooftop (for brunch)? The reservations link only shows an option for indoor reservations
You can make the reservation on Tock. You should get an option for indoor or outdoor depending on the dates available. I had the option when I booked, however, outdoors was booked for weeks.
