This has been a family favorite of mine since I was a child and we got carry out from the Washington Center Rd location. I cannot possibly say enough about the quality and flavor of their pizza, grinders and sausage rolls. I can't even pick a favorite, they're all so good! I am honestly not even a pizza/grinder/sausage roll kind of girl. It just isn't my thing, but Lexy's is an exception and is definitely my thing! The sausage roll with their BBQ sauce is massive and enough for 3 people. The grinder is also quite large and is plenty for 2. Their everything pizza is EVERYTHING! The green olives and onions make it amazing and their daily made dough makes for an amazing crust that is just crispy enough. If you're not getting food from here, you're really missing out!! I had the sausage roll, tasted great, and was hot when I received it upon delivery. However, I ordered it at 8:00pm, and it arrived at 9:40pm. If I had known the wait was so long, I doubt I would have decided to order. I did call at the hour mark, mainly because I was at the hotel, and wanted to make sure they were clear on the address. When I called the lady acted like I was lucky to even be getting it. She said they normally don't deliver that late on a Sunday. Oh well, live and learn. I'll order earlier next time. read more

So, this place is a mixed bag. My first experience with them was actually pretty good. The pizza, anyways. I agree with other reviews I've read about them, they have THE RUDEST EMPLOYEES I have ever encountered in my life. From being asked the most basic questions they just snarl at you and act indignant at being asked to do their job! Thankfully I had read about the less than stellar customer service prior to ordering or I would probably have gone off on the surly staff. Thankfully I stuck it out and was rewarded with a good thick crust pizza. YES, it is VERY EXPENSIVE compared to what you pay at other pizza places, but you do get what you pay for. You can tell you're getting quality, fresh, handmade stuff here. Not frozen, bulk, overly processed stuff like the big chain places. I appreciate that fresh, homemade touch, so I was willing to deal with the price-especially when it comes to crust, and their thick crust is killer!! So after several rides in the thick crust saddle I took a chance recently and went all out for the deep dish. This was risky for several reasons. One being that the price of one large deep dish is about what it'd cost you for two large deep dish pizzas at Pizza Hut . Secondly, in order to get a deep dish you HAVE to order a large. Living all by my lonesome, that's an awful lot of pizza for little ole me! So I forked over the $23.60 for my large pizza and boy was I disappointed!! Even though I'd requested they go easy on the pizza sauce this thing was practically soup. It was so goopy and sloppy that the crust was mush and totally inedible!The part of it that was safe to eat was what was about an inch to an inch and a half (max) from the crust. And that's being generous! I was livid! For what I paid, to only be able to eat a few inches of pizza was unacceptable. The pizza was also not just overly saucy, it was super greasy, there was so much grease it had soaked through the cardboard circle and through the paper bag it came in (that's right, it didn't come in a box, it came in a paper bag). Honestly, if I had been part of a blind pizza eating contest, I'd never have guessed this pizza came from the same restaurant as all those awesome thick crust pizzas. So, That's my story of my mixed experiences with Lexy's. To recap. Crappy, down right unfriendly service and staff. AWESOME thick crust pizza. Another pizza favorite in this house, actually this is THE FAVORITE. We are always prepared to wait when we order from here but it is so worth the wait. I have had Lexy's pizza my whole life. We order Sausage and mushroom pizza when we order from Lexy's and have not once been disappointed. We even recently found out that they deliver to our home. Never go, for completely mediocre pizza you have to deal with a 2 Hr wait then when you call to see where it is at the OWNER says they'll get it to you whenever they get it to you no matter how long. Best sausage roll in town, hands down. Their grinders are also delicious. Surprisingly enough, I haven't tried the pizza yet, but when you can never go wrong with the sausage roll, it's hard to justify a change. Just had an ultimate meat Pizza from Lexy's. I was staying at the downtown Marriott courtyard and ordered a pizza from Lexi's. Lexi is delivered the pizza and it was unbelievably delicious I have traveled all over the United States and too many countries internationally. I wont return. I specifically said on the phone that I had two seperate orders that would be paid for by 2 different people. When I got there the guy put it all on one bill and when I told him I needed it split up he said "what the fu*k". Wow that was unexpected. The pizza is just alright, it's nothing great and I'd much prefer to give my business to other pizza joints in town that are actually nice. Everytime I get pizza from Lexys (it used to be close to my home which is why I would go there) the guy is a total jerk. That was the icing on the cake and I wont ever be back. And just to clarify, they were simple orders. A sausage roll on one order and 2 pizzas on the other. Didn't try the pizza but my husband remembered the sausage rolls from when he was growing up and they were great. Tried the Hindenburg and veggie roll as well. The Hindenburg was good and had sausage, pepperoni, some veggies. I would not recommend the veggie one, not much flavor. Good dough and was steaming hot when it was picked up. I waited over 2.5 hours for a delivery, driver admitted they didn't know when the order was taken, and they literally did nothing to discount my bill. Quoted an hour to hour and a half, but this is just unacceptable. Their pizza could taste like god's piss and i still wouldn't order from there again. Absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a pizza from there this evening. They were very nice when I picked the pie up. I have eaten from there before so I knew what I wanted and ordered it the way I always have. When I got home I realized they had given me a thin crust pizza which I hate. So I called them and told them they had messed up my order not thinking it would be a big deal as things like this happen we are all only human after-all. So when I called a woman answered the phone and repeated everything I said to the guy that was working then after a long pause the guy picked up the phone said basically tough you got what you ordered . I said of course no it wasnt what I ordered and he said it was. I informed them that they had just lost a customer and he said that was fine. I only went there about once a month as that is all I can afford as it is very expensive. I always looked forward to it as a treat. so it may not be much but they have lost about 200 dollars a year in business from me. I recomend if you are considering ordering from them dont go down the street and save your money get same quality of food and better service you can get two pies at Raimondos for the same price as one here read more

i have lived in fortwayne for the past ten years, coming from chicago and loving a great quality pizza was hard to find here in fort wayne, i stumbled across lexys pizza and gave them a try. well i was very impressed with there fresh ingredients and there friendly service and there taste was even better then the pizza i grew up with in chicago!! well here lately dominoes has better quality then them. i know you cant be perfect all the time and sometimes money comes over quality. the store on spring and sherman is most likely there bigger store then the one on washington center which accidentally ordered from there, that pizza was like eating a frozen pizza . when we called we were told that there quality was just as good as the spring st store. i disagree and made sure i had the spring st number locked in my phone. the last two orders from that store has been disappointing. the first of the two they forgot go place green peppers when they made it, not really a big deal the owner caught it and adjusted the price everything was alright. tonight my pizza had green peppers but just dumped on top of already baked pizza, when i called to complain about this, there reaction was like who cares? well i understand things get busy however customer service and there satisfaction should be priority one. no one wants to spend their hard earned money for something thats not done correctly or have to be treated like dirt. read more
