Four days passed, and I still did not receive the written estimate or any update. I sent another follow-up message and received no response at all. The only positive part of my experience was communicating with their staff, Abigail. The person responding to my texts, who I believe was Abigail, was responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to the company's main number. Unfortunately, despite her responsiveness, I still had difficulty getting the information I needed from the technician assigned to my project. I understand that delays can happen, but timely communication and following through on commitments are important. He emailed me a comprehensive estimate and offered me a financing option that was very affordable. Interest-free loan if paid in 18 months. I asked the main office lady (Sam) to please do the legwork and obtain the permits for me, and she did so effectively and got them right the first time. When the crew came out to replace my roof, their Foreman (Jose) explained each step to me as they progressed. The first day was tear-off and replacing 3 sheets of plywood. The second day, the crew met with the State Inspector who approved the crew to proceed to install the new shingles. Final Inspection was done by the same Inspector during the following week and Jose came out to meet with him and get the Final Signoff. The whole process was smooth and friendly which I believe is due to this family-owned roofing business who actually CARE about doing a fine job for a fair price. I can completely recommend them for your roof.

During the job itself they…read moreseemed like nice guys, talk you up about customer service etc. But as soon as the job was done I noticed that the clay tiles I had was not aligned right. Some was so bad that you could literally see exposed underlayment. I was only able to catch this due to a bathroom window I have that just happen to overlook it. If I got the work done on a different part of the roof, probably would never have noticed. And would never be able to call them to address it, so keep that in mind. What's worse is that since the roof work there was no major rain for 16 month, which is outside of the 12 month warranty. So I guess if you never put their roof to the test against mother nature then I guess it's perfect service. But the first time it's suppose to do its job it fails to do so. At this point I'm not sure what they did mess up my tiles and take my money for the privilege. I would literally be in a better position had I not paid them to do "work" on my roof. I tried contacting them several times and met with the cold shoulder. I'm probably just going to eat my losses here but if you're considering them, just be warned. We are the original owners of a single story concrete tiled home bought new in 1984. We have had…read moretwo minor repairs in that time but we had a recent leak. I called a roofing company that I found on YELP that had all 5 star reviews. Their representative came out and I told him about our leak, hoping it could be repaired but wondering if it needed replacing. As soon as I told him the roof was over 40 years old, he said it had to be replaced. He flew his drone above our home and from that he determined how many roofing squares were needed. He gave a quote on the spot and then spent the next 15 minutes or more talking about his family situation. I then called Hercules Roofing. I told their representative, Alon, the same story I told the first company. He said there was no way to be sure unless he inspected it. He asked permission to go into the attic to see where the leak is and also look around? I said sure. He spent the next 45 minutes surveying all areas inside the attic. Once he came out, he said we actually had several areas of prior leaks but that no other ones had penetrated to do damage to our ceiling. I then stuck my head into the attic and he showed me some of those wet areas. All the while, I was thinking that Alon was treating my home as though it was his. I thought of the difference between these two representatives as night and day. His quote was similar to the first quote but I did not wait to get a third quote. My wife and I agreed right then to go with them and we are so happy that he did. The contract stipulated that they would give us an allowance for the plywood that needed replacing as well as an allowance for any tiles that would need replacing. The allowance was very generous and we did not incur any additional expense over what was quoted. I researched the materials in the contract they would be using and they were all top of the line. Their Workmanship warranty is for 10 years with 30 years on the Manufacturer's materials. They stated they would be done in 3 to 5 days and they were. They worked long hours each day and after they were done, they left our property just like no work had even been done.
