Levue is near my home so it's an easy walk to spot when I need a manicure or pedicure. Overall the cleanliness of the salon is pretty good. I recently went by to get a French gel mani and they turned out pretty good. I had a few of the tips redone during the service as they weren't matching and although it's not the most even French it works for me! I try to pay in cash as they prefer that plus you get 10% off, but they do accept card. Pricing is decent as well. read more

I have been on a streak of bad manicures and decided to give this place a try - to my pleasure they were the place to break my streak! The spot itself is new and very cute/modern/clean. I wasn't offered champagne or anything to drink but they have lots of bottles sitting around so I suspect you could have some bubbly while there if you ask. I liked that they had lots of inspo nails if you wanted a design - so many places struggle with even simple designs and it seemed like they could do a lot. They gave me 10% discount, which honestly should have been 100% complementary on the house since they cut me. I really enjoy the Bellevue LeVue location so I was hopeful that the Kirkland one would have the same quality, unfortunately that was not the case. I have tried two times now and both were a disappointment. The first pedicure service, I had an inexperienced technician who was clearly being trained and I had to remind her to trim my nails. The second pedicure, the technician was having issues getting the polish to adhere to my nails (it was dried out) and instead of asking me to pick a different color, she kept applying the polish and it didn't have enough time to dry between coats. I put on socks and shoes 6 hrs after the service and it completely ruined my nails. I went back 4 days later to have them redone and all I was offered was to add additional coats to my already messy nails. 24 hrs later I just put on socks and shoes and the same thing happened. Also, the vibe could easily be improved here. Do trainings on each other vs paying clients, offer beverages, check in on clients. Salon is clean and pretty spacious which is a plus. I had an appointment for 5:30 pm and got out in a chair pretty fast which was super nice. But after that it was just stretched out, I waited 15 minutes for my pedicure to start. After that waited 20 min just for someone to come back and start working on my hands. And over all usually that is not a problem, but 3 days later my nails look like I got it done 2 weeks ago... they leave so much space between your cuticles so you get it done more frequently. And for the price that you pay it's not ideal ($144 for pretty basic pedicure, and ombré hard gel manicure) no hand massage, no lotion, and completely overflowed gel on sides. read more

This was my first time going to Levue after a recommendation from my coworker because I had a wedding to attend. I called for an appointment after work and they were able to get me in right away and the receptionist was very nice! The salon was very clean, modern, and fancy. I showed Emily (nail tech) a reference photo and the end result was amazing!! She was so gentle with my nails and made sure to look at the reference photo before starting the gel polish. I also had a pedicure and same experience the nail tech was very gentle and took her time to make sure I liked my French tips. I've been loyal to Levue for about 3 years now, always went to Van over in Bellevue. I just moved to kirkland and was told Van left :( My first time at the kirkland location today, I told van is working 2 days a week now - yay. Today Emily did my nails in Kirkland, I came in for a fill ended up getting a whole new set and don't regret it. Emily was honestly so kind, she took her time and made sure I was comfortable. I always enjoyed a nice glass of wine in Bellevue and was able to enjoy a glass today in Kirkland well. They have a great selection. The salon looks and feels very clean, both Bellevue and Kirkland. The receptionist was also very sweet. The ONLY reason I give 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because the price seems to always change. One time I had a set take off + new set with "design" and it was $50. Today it was $70, after tip $85. I will say it's 99.9% of the time always worth it but to some people they don't like the price change constantly. Levue does not disappoint. read more

My friend got her pedicure cut too short, almost all off, and instead of offering to glue an extension on, they blamed her for not paying attention TO THEIR WORK while they are WORKING on her nails. Gel manicure and a hot stone spa pedicure... in and out in under 30 minutes. $105 for a VERY rushed service and I did not feel relaxed for one second! The towels they used had somebody else's old dip or something on it, water in the pedicure tub didn't look too clean either... Another thing to point out, when paying for spa pedicure, hearing the timer go off for your mediocre message time being up is unprofessional in my opinion. I also came in with almond nails left with square (I said I wanted the same shape just shorter!) They looked overbooked unfortunately. Fast forward to today, and Nina did my spa pedicure perfectly! The nail salon looks very elegant and clean, but the employees are rude. They are really rude when you ask them to help you to select a color like you are bothering them. Also, I did a pedicure, and the lady was tapping on my feet instead of asking me to take it out of the water and she expected me to leave two tips even if it was not my choice to have two different technicians...one got up and left in the middle of my service because another of her regular clients came in even if I had an appointment.... In addition to all this, the employees they are hiring are "bad apples" from another spa located in Kirkland, Anthony Vince, which is also the place with the most rude and arrogant people on earth. I had three services and some customer service to evaluate. I graded them all independently and averaged them. I had a spa pedi, gel mani and pedi and brow wax. About $130 with tip and a quick 1 hr time and validated parking in the garage nearby. The quality depends highly upon the tech that you get. I ended up with a nice manicure but the rest of the experience was below average and pricy for sub par work. I made an appointment in advance with a particular tech. I arrived on time. I was greeted and my appt confirmed. The woman who greeted me however said " So , its okay anyone cut your nails, right?" I said that i booked someone in particular. This "question" was repeated about three times and each time I stressed that I wanted who I booked, not just anyone. As all of the other customers and techs looked on, The language barrier and awkward pressure seemed to win out and I ended up with a new tech. She gave me perhaps the worst most inexperienced pedicure i've ever received. I would describe it as a " very lazy" perhaps a "fake it til you make it " job. She did not clean up or smooth out my nails at all well, she soaked them ( even after putting in polish btw) then seemed to go through the motions on many steps barely touching my toe or leg. For example, when pushing back and trimming cuticles, she did one toe about 80% then briefly tapped on the cuticle if each toe with her instrument and put my foot back in water It was like that for most of the steps going forward. During the leg massage , she spoke to her coworkers across the room while making small circular motions around and occasionally touching my leg then rinsed. I think i paid extra for that . At one point her lunch delivery arrived. She was hungry. I know this since she was far more present for the bag on the counter than me. It was laughable. The nails look bad and I have many painful cuts on my toes. I am anticipating the ingrown toenail's also as I watched her cutting the nails incorrectly. For this price, they need more experienced service. 1/5 The manicure that I received from my booked tech was excellent, professional, thorough and competent! 5 stars for her. I did notice her noticing the hack job on my toes and doing a double take. Maybe something will be done to avoid this. I needed a brow wax . They were quick and that tech did an average job, but not very "clean " aesthetically. She wanted to scissor cut them. I declined as it seems they haven't a dedicated wax tech unless she was, but I wanted to be cautious after the pedicure debacle. BTW this same woman who did my brows is the same one who just couldn't understand my desire to have my mani/pedi appointment booked technician honored at the beginning. She now spoke and understood English quite well. The brows are neat 3.5/5. They have a lovely display of wine and champagne but didn't offer any. I normally don't partake, but in this case, i would have to be able to ignore what was happening at my feet. The place is roomy and clean and could be a great place for a girls day out! Overall, its got kinks but its newish. I would give it another try and certainly insist on my chosen tech in the future. I've been coming to Levue for almost a year and their service is getting progressively worse. The first few months they were always timely and did a great job on my manicure and pedicure. The last six months I noticed that the service is terrible. They are always late and I have to wait 30 minutes to an hour after my appointment time to get my nails done. I'm currently sitting in the chair for my 2:00 appointment, it's 3:05, and no one in sight for my pedicure. I understand that everyone is short staffed but then don't schedule me and make me wait. I'd rather you call me and tell me to come later if you're overbooked rather then make me wait an hour. That is not acceptable customer service. I will be looking for a new nail salon because this seems to be continuing and getting worse. read more

Updating my review, I think the quality and how good your nails are depends on the nail technician you get. The first time was great, she was knowledgeable and attentive. This time however, progressively got worse throughout the appointment. I was patient for most of the appointment that ended up taking 2 hours - from missing that I asked for the glitter accent, then attempting to place glitter on top of already dipped red nails (red flag when she didnt know that the powder for the glitter vials were transparent until she added another sealant layer, then confused as to why the red was showing up - because the base was red??). Then she ended up stripping the red all together, and I noticed that she wasn't really sure of other techniques to apply glitter and had to reference the other employees in the store. And then I had to ask her a few times whether I should wash off all the dust from all the filing before she applied the sealant top coat - she was not aware eventhough everyone getting dip nails were doing it, then realizing that the final result of red was sprinkled with dusty white powder, could then sense that she was getting rushed and annoyed that I was asking for something that's part of the process, and then finally shaving off some of the white spots (again), but rushing through the process and not applying cuticle oil at the end but also leaving 3 of my fingers with cuts from the filing since she was flying through the last parts. And not properly applying sealant all over. My nails were also cut short but the cashier was also attempting to charge "extra" for longer nails. In the end, the nails look good from a distance, but up close you see patches where the dip is missing sealant and yes, white powder still sprinkled all over! It's a red flag when someone is rushing through their job and failing to acknowledge basic processes (and I'm not even a nail artist/technician but had to explain to her that applying glitter with transparent dip on red nails will definitely cause red to show through) She was really nice and sweet, and that's the reason for 1 star, another was from the positive experience before. Other than that, the experienced was disappointing for a supposedly relaxing day out. And I'm left with cuts throughout my fingers. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I walked in and nobody greeted me, I stood there looking around and finally a technician came over and told me to wash my hands. I returned from the bathroom and she was gone again. I then had to interrupt someone's service to ask her again where to go and if I still had an appointment. She told me to go sit down. I sat for 10 minutes and finally someone came over. My nail technician didn't speak to me the entire time. She was so cold and I didn't feel welcome today at all. I really wanted to like this place especially because my roommate is always raving about this place. But unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning. I got a full set of gel x nails and after the nail technician finished I noticed that one of my pinky nails wasn't fully cured all the way down towards my cuticle. And if you get nail extensions, you know that once your nails start lifting, they pop off easily and get caught in your hair. So when I noticed it, I instantly showed them that it was lifted and instead of them fixing it correctly all they did was add glue and cured it- then went to work on another customer without saying anything to me. It's annoying paying $100 for a set of nails that you know won't even last you two weeks because one is already lifted and it's annoying that they didn't care to fix it correctly. read more

I came in with an appointment on a slow Monday and asked for the signature pedicure which in their pamphlet said "extended pedicure". The nail technician started and finished on me in 15 minutes. I couldn't believe it - no hot towel or stone massage, or even scrubbing of any sort. I sat down in the chair at 5:15pm and by 5:30pm she had wrapped up and cleaned her station. I was so excited to try this new nail spot in Kirkland Urban. A friend of mine went and had a great experience. I made an appointment a week in advance for one shellac manicure and one dip manicure. There was some confusion when we first got there but once they realized we had a reservation they sat us. After that no one acknowledged us for 20 minutes, we actually had already said if it goes on for 5 more minutes we would just leave. Once someone helped us we asked for wine because they have a big wine bar on display and they were nice and said of course. My friend got the shellac and it was so slow. She was just getting started when my dip was completed. I will say my dip was really rushed and the girl literally ran out of the salon after like she was late for something, but it did turn out nicely. My friends shellac was the slowest either of us have ever experienced. It looked nice but the time it took was just unreasonable. There are a lot of great nail salons in the area I don't think I'll be back here until they have some of the kinks figured out. read more

I had gel X nails placed one week before my sons wedding that were placed with very big gap between my nail and the gel nail....way too much gel!!! As the week went on, the gap underneath was collecting all kinds of dirt and looked horrible!!! I went into the salon after the wedding to see what they could do to fix it for me. They said they could fill in the gap, but they were so dirty. I was afraid that it would trap stuff under my nails and cause a possible infection or fungus, so I chose to have them just take the nails off and was going to go back in and have them done another time when I had more time. They wanted to charge me $15 to do so which I did not feel, was very fair since it was not my fault that the nails were not placed correctly in the first place. She removed the nails, very fast and aggressive, which hurt as my nails were burning as she was removing it. I left VERY unhappy as there was all kinds of gel still left on my nails, very uneven, and not finished in anyway... They looked and felt horrible! I commented on it as I was going to leave and she said she would fix them, but after what she had already previously done the damage (understandable that some of the damage, of course, was just because of the gel X nails ...) she had done, I told her no thank you! I also felt uncomfortable with the fact that they just drag around a bag of tools with them from person to person, and did not see any sterilization of instruments that they use in the salon! They're customer service is outstanding and Nina always does an amazing job on my nails. She's does everything exactly like the photo and always suggests things to me which I love because I feel like having a good comfortable relationship with your nail tech is a must. However, the last time I showed up early to my 11am appointment but they didnt actually start on my nails until noon! I dont even know why I stayed but she assured me at 11:30 it would be 10 more minutes after I asked and no other communication as I sat there. I ended up not doing the tip extensions I wanted because I didn't have time.
