Today I was able to directly talk with the President of the company in person and he took his time to let me know that the company is already looking to future proof their methods and even ask me for my recommendation of what would I as a customer feel comfortable with for a safer transaction. I have full confidence that this company will keep growing and providing for many more customers for the better. They have remedied my concerns and have been cordial and understanding with my unfortunate experience. I have received my first few orders and will get started working on our new floors. Thank you. Old Review for transparency: The reason Im giving them a bad review is that I was told to write down all my card's info because they can't run it until Monday and this day is a Saturday. It seemed very odd that they would ask that and told me they would call me first on Monday before they run it. I waited all day Monday with no callbacks. I called them back Tuesday and was notified that they have already ran my card a while back and will call me back to let me know about my order (I never got a call back). I check my statement and show it was ran the day I came in on Saturday. Today on, Wednesday I checked my statement again and a FRAUDULENT transaction was made to Walmart.com (probably thinking its a safe bet that many people shop there, Not I, online that is). I called my credit card company to inform them about the fraud and to send me a new card. I called back America's Floor Source to ask about my order and about the fraudulent issue. I was told that I would get a call back from my sales person (I have my doubt about getting a call back.

America's FS tells us it's the manufacturer's problem, the manufacturer states the "wear layer" (clear layer over the top) is the only warranted component. Do not buy from AFS, and do not consider LVP, you'll regret it and have to have it replaced.

I didn't write a review. last week, after the deluge, our new carpet in the basement was damp in a couple of places. after dry vacuuming, it was better and we left strong fans going. stil, this week, it was damp. I called our contact at the store, Lisa, and she encouraged me to call Mike. she gave me his cell phone number at 620 pm tonight, he came over and showed us the reason it was still a little damp. we had very good padding that insured that the carpet would not get ruined-but beneath the padding the floor remained wet. He cut out several feet of padding and said he would get back to us to replace it in a couple of days. When people tell you to support small family businesses, do it. Evans did their job in July. They sold good carpet and installed it. They had no responsibility to provide additional service--but they did!!! I cannot say enough about this store, their team and their work ethic. If anyone needs new carpet at a fair price and with assurance that the relationship remains after the sale is done--go to Evans Carpet Junkyard. The only thing that bothers me is the name. Run far away from this company. I scheduled an appointment…read morefor a flooring quote between 11am-12pm on a specific date and rearranged my entire day to be available. By 1130, no one had shown up, and I hadn't received a phone call or any communication, so I called the company. When I explained that I had an appointment and no one had arrived, Ian didn't ask for my name or address to look up the appointment. Instead, he simply asked if Aaron was the one coming out. I told him I wasn't sure who was scheduled, and his response was, "Well, he might be running behind. He'll be there when he's done." That was the extent of the explanation. No apology, no attempt to confirm my appointment, and no effort to provide an updated arrival time. If you're running late, the least you can do is call your customer. I told him not to bother coming and that I would take my business elsewhere if that's how they operate. His only response was, "Okay." Based on my experience, this company showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. If this is how they treat potential customers before they've even earned your business, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I used America's Floor Source to install both carpet and LVP in our basement to help finish the…read morespace. Having initially gotten a quotation from Empire, we had a bit of a sense of what to expect in the sales process. Overall, the company did install great carpet and LVP in my home and were quite quick to do so. The installers helped to confirm my LVP was being installed in the direction I wanted and worked quickly, completing the jobs in a few hours. The only reason I didn't provide a 5-star review was for the reasons below: 1) Our sales representative was fine overall, but wasn't the fastest in responding or when I inquired about potentially putting a different pattern of flooring (e.g., planks placed in herringbone), he mentioned he had seen it, but didn't really offer it as an option. 2) The installation team left quite a bit of dust/shoeprints throughout my main floor in getting to the basement. Most other contractors in my home always bring drop cloths to avoid this. 3) We had just had our other contractors complete painting of the walls the previous week and after the installation team we had quite a few marks/scratches on the walls, some spanning multiple feet. 4) When the LVP team showed up and realized they didn't have enough materials, they asked me where they should leave unfinished - I feel like I shouldn't have been involved in the process. I paid for a completely floored basement, I shouldn't be involved in picking which areas are left undone. Still, Tim, their installation manager, did reach out after I reported the issues and was very gracious and willing to either schedule teams to come out or compensate us for our trouble. While I was able to resolve the issues above myself fairly easily, so didn't take him up on his offer, the fact that the company offered it was something I very much appreciated as all contractors will eventually run into issues, but it's how they respond that really makes the difference. Overall, I would likely use America's Floor Source again when we have flooring needs.

Pricing, comparatively speaking, to other floor covering systems around, Ideal is reasonably priced, roughly in the middle between high/overpriced places and lower priced places. For the patio, however my only complaint so far is, that with all of the plant material around, leaves and petals get stuck or embedded in the rough surface and clean up takes longer than I like. But overall I'm pleased.

We were given the contact information for John Lowry. We reached out to John via text message, and he got back to us quickly and set up an appointment to meet with us at our condo. John arrived with a large variety of samples, and he made informed recommendations about practical floor options to best update all of the rooms in our condo. During this same visit, John measured all of the rooms and helped us decide on both carpeting and hard flooring in under two hours. Written estimates were provided to us via email before the end of that same day. We were able to schedule installation within a couple of weeks. We probably could have had the installation scheduled even sooner, but we had painting that we had scheduled to complete first. We were no longer living in our condo when the installation occurred. Everyone involved with the installation easily worked with our realtor, who was on-site to grant access to the condo, and with me via telephone. We were very pleased with the final results. I'm sure that the reasonable expense of updating the floors will pay off once our condo goes on the market.

Salesman Brian Graham did a nice job outlining our options, sitting patiently while we chose a fabric. He also showed up the morning of installation. I am vertically challenged, and the manual crank didn't work for me. He returned a few hours later with a longer one (no extra charge). The crew was easy to work with and removed the roll shade we had been using to block the late afternoon sun (no extra charge).

Don't waste your time and find somewhere that cares about customer service. When you call to try to get it installed in spring, they are all smart asses and say summer doesn't start to June so you will be good. Not a company I will do business with again.
