I got E. coli from this place, and I truly wish I were exaggerating. As you can see from my profile, 1 rarely ever leave reviews, especially negative ones. I also did not act difficult or demanding during our visit. The service was poor from the start. Last Monday we went and the waitress forgot to bring our drinks and the hookah. I would look directly at her as she walked past our table so she could assist us, but she deliberately avoided eye contact and ignored us as she passed by, as if we bothered her. It wasn't until | got up to ask--when the food arrived--that the hookah was finally brought out. She barely checked on us the entire time. I stayed polite because it was my friend's first restaurant experience in Los Angeles--she was visiting from London--and I didn't want to make things uncomfortable. The waitress didn't know what a cheeseburger was, and I had to point it out on the menu. When it arrived, it didn't taste right, and I didn't finish it. It was so gross. That night and into the next morning, I began vomiting nonstop--far beyond anything a home remedy could help. The vomiting was uncontrollable, which is why I ended up in the hospital. I was diagnosed with E. coli and a kidney infection, which doctors said were caused by food poisoning. Afterward, I mentioned the situation to a friend who lives in the area, and she shared that the place tends to cater to wealthy male clientele and that staff often focus their attention there. That context unfortunately made the dismissive treatment we experienced make more sense, as we were two women dining together. The 3 female waitresses have a bad attitude with no smile on their face, or any common courtesy and just stare at your face when you ask a question as if we owe them something! We ordered hookah drinks and food and the tall skinny guy who took our order couldn't even speak much English or get our order after repeating it twice. Not once did anyone come back to our table to ask if we needed anything, not once. They are just good at taking your money bringing your food to the table and disappearing. Came here with a group of friends on a Friday night that happened to be both Halloween and a friend's birthday -- so we were ready for a fun night out. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill pretty quickly. First off, valet parking was mandatory, even though there were open spots literally right in front of the entrance. We could've parked ourselves without a problem, but apparently that wasn't an option. Next, the security guard at the door really nailed the "hospitality" vibe by shouting "IDs!!!" at us. No "hello," no "welcome," not even a simple "excuse me." Just pure charm. Once we got inside and seated, no one came to our table for about 15 minutes -- no menus, no drinks, no heater, nothing. We eventually decided to leave, and out of courtesy, we still tipped the valet - only to walk back to our parked car and leave, without any service rendered. So... we basically paid for someone to not move our car. Verdict: if you're in your 20s or 30s and looking for a fun, welcoming spot to hang out -- this isn't it. However, the beef kabob plate was not good. On the menu, it said plate came with rice, but I got fries. My plate had with a few pieces of beef that were extremely dry and hard to chew. Paired with a roasted tomato and salsa, it was sad and lacking flavor. It appears that they are more known for hookah and drinks, which was better. Walked in here last night on a sunday with my wife right around 1 am, there was a huge party in front of us getting situated so we just went over to the right and sat down on the couches. After about 15 minutes of getting ignored by the "waitresses" I got frustrated and kindly went and asked the security guard to please get me a server bc clearly these people did not give a shit if me and my girl were freezing in the corner. The server comes takes my order of tea and cheesecake i also wanted to order a hookah, which she said she would fetch the hookah boy for. She brought over the tea n cake and i asked her again if i can order a hookah, bc the hookah boy never showed up the first time. The homie eventually came took the order and made a very good bowl of hookah not mad at the boy at all. What really pissed me off was the beginning how they were only taking care of the big party and completely ignoring us acting blind even after seeing that we were sitting there for 20 minutes freezing... the fact that their heaters suck ass and the propane on ours finished and they did not even change it after they said they would. I even offered to change it myself bc of how bad their service SUCKED! And the cherry on top was them having the audacity to tell us to leave at 2 am sharp after i barely got my hookah and smoked it for only maybe about 15 minutes.
