Romminda cut my cuticles until they bled. After she cut one toe, I politely pointed it out to her, and asked her to clean it and be careful. She responded "it's ok," and continued to cut my two other toes until they bled. I didn't want to make a big deal about it, but if anyone goes here, just know that you will most likely get your skin cut. Review: I don't usually leave reviews, but my experience here was so frustrating that I felt obligated. This nail shop clearly prioritizes hiring cheap labor over skilled professionals. It felt like the person doing my nails was in training -- except I was paying full price for the privilege of being their practice dummy. Uneven shaping, sloppy polish, and poor hygiene practices. I had to ask for things to be redone multiple times, and even then, the results were disappointing. It's one thing to give new techs a chance -- everyone starts somewhere -- but this place is throwing inexperienced workers at paying customers without proper supervision or quality control. The front girl was so busy on her cellphone that I think she forgot to notice she worked in a service industry where greeting clients and creating a pleasant experience is important. Much more in a spa like environment. To top that off , in the 26 years of doing my nails I have never ever experienced what I experienced here. I came here as I desperately needed a pedicure and was in the area. Easy parking. It felt like they were understaffed but maybe it was just because it was a Tuesday and they have less people working there. Nevertheless, they were able to take me right away. I had the hydro pedi which is $45. It was just ok. Felt like a regular pedicure. I didn't have a whole lot of time but didn't feel like it was anything extra. Also they don't have a lot of colors to pick from. I waited over an hour before putting shoes on and the polish still smudged, and the corners of my toe nails were filed very pointy to the touch. I should've known better when I saw the "Help Wanted/Now Hiring" sign on the front door. I've been looking for a new nail salon to go to, and so far, it's been hard. I found this place on Yelp, and I hoped that, based on the good reviews, it'd be a good fit for me. I made an appointment at 11:30 AM on a Wednesday. I told the receptionist I had Builder Gel on and wondered if they did it here even though I have not been a fan of it. They told me they had one person who could do it, but they would be available on Saturday. I had this set for over a month and wanted it done sooner rather than later. Therefore, I told her I'd instead go back to dip nails if they had anyone available. She told me she had someone who could do that, so we were all set. Wednesday arrived, and I showed up at 11:20 AM. I sat to the side as I waited for my turn. By 11:46 AM, I was finally taken to the bar area to get my nails done. I started to have my polish filed up when the woman taking care of me asked if the polish I had on was a dip. I told her it was Builder Gel. She told me she couldn't take me as a client because doing my nails would take too long. She returned to the receptionist to tell her I'd need someone else to take me. The receptionist returned and moved me further down the bar with my hands in an acetone bowl to soak off the rest of the gel polish to another nail tech. There was a male nail tech who I believe was meant to take me, but he told me after five minutes that he also couldn't take me as a client because it would take too long, and he had to go to another nail salon to do a set of nails. Um?? Okay?? At one point, I considered filing off my nails and leaving because it took too long. It was 12:30 PM before I finally had another nail tech doing a long pedicure come over and act as my nail tech. I believe her name was Laura. She did my dip nails and did a pretty good job. Eventually, I was finally done with my new set by 1:25 PM. After two hours and five minutes, I was finally done. The receptionist checked me out and said she would give me 15% off my next appointment. You would think they would do that on today's order with the time management and nail tech debacle, but no. Then, she gave me one of those stamp cards for returning ten times, and you get a certain percentage off. Easily, I will not be returning. This place is clearly understaffed. I heard numerous customers coming in and being turned away due to the need for more staff members. I'll continue looking for a new nail salon. read more

If you need something quick that accepts walk-ins on the spot you should come here. My daughter and I weren't happy with our previous nail salon so we tried Level because it is close to our house. When we first went in to check it out, the receptionist was extremely helpful, answered all our questions and recommended Liz for our appointments. We have been back several times and are extremely happy with the service we receive. She is fantastic. We take in pictures of what we want and she creates those designs with perfection. Still searching for a nail place in the Pembroke Pines area. I was hoping this would be it, but unfortunately it isn't. I came in for a dip manicure with tips. Pretty much right when I sat down, the nail tech cut off my existing nails right to the fingertips without asking me or saying a word. She did it so quickly before I could stop her. I've been trying to grow my nails forever and wanted to keep growing them under the tips like nail techs usually do, but now they're stubs. My nails came out looking great, but they didn't last at all, which is the whole point of paying extra for dip. The clear topcoat came off of all of my nails in one solid sheet within less than a week, and one of the tips came completely off in about a week and a half. Again, not great when the reason you get this service is for it to last a few weeks. I ended up going to a different salon only two weeks after my original appointment to get the now bumpy/matte-looking dip and remaining tips taken off because it looked so rough. Okay here's a story time/my review I've been to this salon a few times and had my nails done by Yani (she's amazing!). Every time I've visited, there's been a different receptionist. The first time I went, I booked one of the luxe pedicures, which came with a paraffin treatment. I'd never had that done before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When it was time to pay, I asked about the paraffin treatment and realized my nail tech had forgotten to do it (not a big deal). The receptionist, Alyssa, was nice about it and charged me for a regular gel pedicure instead. She assured me they would include the paraffin treatment for free during my next appointment. I asked her what I should say when booking next time, and she said to just explain the situation. A few weeks later, I went back to get a manicure with Yani and to book a follow-up appointment for my pedicure with the paraffin treatment. I explained the situation to a different receptionist to make sure the treatment would still be comped, and she confirmed that it would. We even spoke about it at length because I wanted to be absolutely sure everything would be okay. On the day of my pedicure, I walked into the salon to find an entirely new group of receptionists. One of them, Mia, was immediately loud and intrusive. As I was talking to my nail tech about which color to choose, Mia interjected herself into the conversation from the other end of the room, asking what was going on. Her behavior was obnoxious, and she was overly nosy with other clients as well. The client sitting next to me also didn't really like her. When it was time to pay, I asked for a breakdown of the charges, and they included the paraffin treatment in the total. I explained the situation again to yet another receptionist, but Mia rudely inserted herself into the conversation. She told the other receptionist to call the previous receptionists to verify the story, all while speaking with an attitude. I called my nail tech over to confirm the situation since she was present at my earlier appointments. She explained everything, but Mia still handled it rudely. At one point, she hung up on Alyssa, thinking the issue was resolved, only to call her back after realizing it wasn't. Mia then called the owners and began speaking dismissively about me, still with an attitude. If you're looking for a "kiss-up" puppy, Mia is your girl. She even started ratting out Alyssa to the owner, claiming Alyssa should never have made the promise in the first place. Eventually, the owner's daughter, Ana, arrived for her reception shift and tried to de-escalate the situation. She told Mia it wasn't a big deal and reassured me they would honor the comped treatment. She was really nice about it too. Even then, Mia continued chatting with the owner on the phone, badmouthing me in front of everyone. Ana tried to get Mia to end the call and get Mia to stop, but Mia refused. She finally said, "Oh, well, there's nothing that can be done now--she already paid." Honestly, her behavior was disgustingly rude. I've worked as a receptionist at a nail salon before, and I would never have acted like that in front of a client. In the past few weeks, I've told my family and friends about this salon and how much I liked Yani's work. While they thought the salon was pricey, I explained that it was comparable to other places, especially considering rising costs. However, I've now messaged all of them to share what happened with Mia and told them not to visit this salon anymore. The paraffin treatment itself wasn't a huge deal--it's the way Mia handled the situation that upset me. She displayed microaggressions. She was rude and dismissive to my nail tech, who primarily speaks Spanish, seemingly because she was speaking Spanish. Mia clearly has a superiority complex and thinks she's better than everyone else. I'm all about supporting local and small businesses, but in this case, I just can't. read more

I do not recommend - I booked a dip/pedi. The tech wrapped my dip nails to soak off but left them in foil for an hour why she did my pedi! This is not good for your skin or nails to be wrapped in acetone that long. After my dip - my nails were not anywhere close to the shape I came in with and the application was uneven. After a week my nails started to snap in half at the base of the nail and skin. I'm beyond upset - these are my real nails and I never have breakage, especially at the nail base. With things beginning to open, I jumped at the chance of getting a manicure and pedicure done. The question then became where, and more important still, what safety precautions are they partaking in. As a result, I conducted some research, calling three nail salons. I ended up choosing LEVEL Nail Lounge as they picked up their phone and their social media accounts discussed their precautions. Not to mention that the woman who attended me on the phone, Claudia, completely made me feel at ease. In a nutshell, this is what's going on. This nail salon is appointments only, so call and make an appointment. Once you do so, they'll send you an automated text with their procedures going in. Essentially, it's as follows: 1) Upon arrival, call and wait until they give you the okay to be let inside; 2) Wear a mask and be prepared to take a temperature reading; and 3) Please reschedule if you're not feeling well. Assuming you're good to go, be ready to go inside and see more precautions at work. Everyone is at least six feet apart and they've installed Plexiglass screens at the manicurist tables. Also, the salon itself is pristine, shining even, and they have hand sanitizer up front. They also have contactless payment, so Apple Pay is A-okay. Something to note as well: all forms of payment are accepted except American Express. Oh, and everyone is wearing masks and gloves. That said, first time at this salon and it certainly won't be my last. Paulina was my one-stop shop for a dip manicure and a regular pedicure. She did the pedicure first and she managed to find a near-perfect match to the dip color, which I believe was OPI's Princess Rule. Upon finishing my toenails, we moved over to the manicurist table, where I hadn't noticed there was a tube. I accidentally messed up a toenail and Paulina soon fixed it up for me thankfully. As for the dip manicure, it went by quickly. Or so it seemed anyway. I really loved seeing the color on my fingernails, but best of all, unlike my prior dip manicure at another nail salon, the manicure looked natural. Not heavy. Not clunky. I really hope they last for some time, as this is the only the second time I do a dip manicure. It's probably only because of that that I'm not granting the fifth star. I don't have much to compare this type of work to, plus I did consider the cost a bit pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for, and for all intents and purposes, I'm beyond pleased. The work done was flawless, the staff followed the appropriate safety precautions, and I felt ridiculously safe. If you're looking for a nail salon, I heavily suggest going to this one. I went for my first time last week. The salon is very cute and the tech did a good job of cleaning up my cuticles. I went with gel to avoid chipping and to my surprise 2 nails peeled completely off within 8 hours! I called and they offered a repair service which was great. However the following day 3 other nails peeled off. It's now been 7 days from my gel manicure and I have 5 painted nails left. No chipping but they did just completely peel off. I don't blame the tech. I have a feeling they add acetone or print thinner to the polishes to stretch the shelf life. Please do not go to this unethical place!!! I went to this place to get a gel manicure on Wednesday 08/11/21 and the person who did it didn't know how to do a french manicure or a manicure in general. I asked her to file my nails in a round shape and she made them pointed and crooked. Then she had to called someone else to do the white line for the French and that other person didn't know how to do it either, they took more than 2 hours on a manicure just to destroy my nails and at soon as I left the crooked white line that they did was peeling off. I asked to speak to the manager right after they finished and she the manager told me that this manicure was perfect and that I had to pay for it, see the following pictures and judge for your yourself Apparently they have very low standards if they consider this good. Today 08/13/21 I called again to talk to the owner and to share my experience with him and I was surprised to find out that this guy is a rude person who only cares about the money and not the quality of service he provides in his establishment, he yelled at me, and threw the phone at me. I told him I was going to send him the photos of the manicure and he told me that he did not care and that today was Friday and he was busy. "Great way of handling a business" Also! My fingers are itching like crazy after this horrible experience. A nail lounge to LEVEL up your mani/pedis! I wanted to treat my mom out after a year of not getting anything done to her nails. I scheduled an appointment over the phone after asking for some prices and it was a quick process. I got text confirmations about my appointment twice before coming with information about the precautions they are taking such as requiring guests to wear masks, temperature checks, etc. They have partitions at every point you would make contact with someone such as at the front desk or the spots where they give manicures. They also have some partitions in between massage chairs where you get pedicures. My mom & I sat together but the nail techs put the partition back so we could talk to each other. They offer a range of pedicures, including an option with hot stones. These tend to get pricey so make sure you know which one you want and what it includes. For regular pedicures, you can choose a color from the wall in the front with a wide range of colors. For gel manicure, they have even more options! I got the Lux Hydrate pedicure because my toes needed some love after a year of neglect. Very excellent service and work. I got a French tip pedicure for my birthday today and she was very attentive and patient with me. She made sure everything was perfect and neat. I got the LUX Hydrate treatment + a gel pedicure which all came up to $72. I felt very relaxed besides the feet scrubbing part because I'm very ticklish. They do have an inside bar but if you are under the age of 21 your drink of choice would have to be water or OJ :/ Edit: I just realized that I never got the full LUXhydrate experience. They did not give me the milk bath that was included in my service and I still paid full price :( That was the main reason why I wanted that specific service. read more

Once I read the reviews for Level Nail Lounge I had to visit and see for myself. Well, it's exactly how others have described it. I needed a pedicure because I already got my nails done at another location I've come to love. As soon as my daughter and I arrived we were greeted by the ladies at the counter who were pleasant and very helpful. The shop was busy but they had everything under control and moving smoothly. I love that. I chose my color, Big City Red. I wanted to go with something bold and popping. My daughter was getting her nails and toes done so she was seated at their lovely decorated nail bar and I sat in the waiting area for a few minutes. It was perfect because I got an opportunity to ask one of the ladies also waiting if she'd ever been to this nail lounge before and she said yes, very excitedly. She went on and on about how much she loved getting her nails done here and recommended I try Yolanda. Interestingly enough, it was Yolanda who came and got me from the waiting area. Yolanda was fabulous. We had a great time together conversating and she did beautiful work on my feet. I highly recommend her. I had a glass of complimentary red wine which was not bad. It was enjoyable enough. They now have a larger, more sophisticated selection of wine for $8 a glass. For my second visit which was not too long ago, I got Andrea. She did a fabulous job as well. Had my nails done here yesterday for the first time- it's in the plaza across from Costco on Pines Blvd- a very modern looking salon, by appointment only during these covid times. Everyone wore a mask throughout the procedure and there was a plastic shield as well- the color samples were also kept in plastic and the nail tech wore gloves. I felt very secure and well taken care of. They also took my temperature upon arrival- which is an additional Safety precaution. Was so pleased that I came back 2 days later to get my pedicure as well- they have the massage chairs and they "skip a chair" to keep to the social distancing process- so that was great to know.
