I had an AMAZING 1 hour swedish massage today by Ana. She has magic hands! I made a last-minute appointment after a hectic work day, they were able to fit me right in. The spa is very clean, pleasantly decorated, check in and out was super easy. Was brought back as soon as I arrived. Ana went above and beyond with my massage. I feel very relaxed. I work a stressful job in the medical field, and I will definitely be back for more stress relieving massages! I called today to make an appointment for a massage. The person answers the phone with "Hello". There was no use of the business name so I had to ask if this was Eden Spa. I received an "yes" and nothing more. So I asked if there was an opening at all yet today for a massage with a male therapist and I got a "yes"...... then silence. So I asked when is the opening and was asked when I want to come in. So I asked if a 5pm was available (it was 3:45pm). I got a "yes"..... so I said I'd take that slot and she asked for my name and nothing more. So I arrived at 4:50pm and was asked my name and she started to walk me back. So I asked who I was seeing and told Amanda. So I stopped and said I had requested a male. She said "yes, you are seeing Amanda". So I had to tell her again that I had requested a male and not a female. I know this was the person who took my call. It's frustrating as it didn't seem like a language issue but more of a "not being thorough and paying attention" issue. I ended up not staying as the experience from booking and then arriving to find a mistake on their end frustrating. read more

Ok, so it's the first time I'm here, i arrived at 12:20 (came during lunch for a quick 50min massage). Only one other person there. I sat there till 12:30 until they decided to give me the paperwork (2 min to fill). At 12:35 I'm already in the bed laying face down. 5min later I'm still there alone!, 10MIN later STILL ALONE!. AT 12:49 IM DONE! 15MINUTES WAITING FOR A SIGN OF LIFE IN THERE!! only after after I started putting my clothes on, they decided to come in and ask if I was really leaving. I politely said yes, you took too long, I have to go. They said sorry and that was it, AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!. I have never had an experience like this at a spa. It was empty, I was the only one there besides the other person who also walked out!. What ticked me off the most was that I can hear them in the back talking with the smell of food in the air! apparently I must have cut into their lunch time, sorry if I interupted your meal. Oh and how can I forget, future clients, be aware and keep an eye on their clock in the massage room. They are 10min! ahead while the ones in the lobby are on time just an FYI on you next visit...NEVER AGAIN!! read more

My husband and I scheduled an appointment for a couples massage for this Saturday which was yesterday. We have an almost two year old at home and our time together is very few and far between. Our appointment was for 2pm and we arrived 10 minutes early. When we walked in we were told it would just be a few minutes. Right at 2pm they handed us paperwork. Which was very strange to me because we were sitting there for 10 minutes prior to this. We finish the paperwork and the receptionist takes it back from us and said they were running behind by 10 minutes so they should be coming the grab us any minute. We continued to sit there and wait and the receptionist went outside to make a personal call. It's now 2:20 and I looked out the window at the receptionist and she came back in. I told her that our appointment was at 2 and it's already 2:20 and we still had not been taken back. She told me it was a busy Saturday. I told her that if it was busy on Saturday and if they couldn't accommodate our 2pm appointment, they shouldn't have scheduled it for that time. She then went on to say the people before us came in 30 minutes late so when we arrived they were only halfway through their massage. Prior to having our child, I was a massage therapist. I owned my own business and worked for many spas in the past and if that happens you cut the massage short for the client who is late. At this point we're incredibly frustrated. The receptionist then said that they would be willing to CUT our massage to 45 minutes since they were running late. We booked the full hour so I told her no. At 2:30 they finally take us back into the room. The therapists came in and mine asked if I wanted deep pressure and I specified with her I only wanted medium pressure but my husband wanted deep pressure. She put a towel on my head to protect my hair but roughly shoved the towel between my face and the face rest. She used very hard pressure, took her elbow and used deep pressure on my spine and wore metal bracelets so every time she pressed on me the bracelets scraped my skin. At one point she was using one hand to massage my neck and the other hand to text on her phone. After the back massage they use hot stones which is generally lovely, however, she dropped the hot stones on the floor and picked them up and used them on my back. My husband on the other hand asked for deep pressure and he got a very light pressure. My husband and I usually leave a couples massage very relaxed and relieved from pain and neither of us can say that about this place. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was the worst massage experience we have ever had. read more

Ok, so let's start with the fact that I called to make a reservation since I was using a Livingsocial voucher. When I called they took my information and I mentioned to them that I was using the voucher, the person I spoke to barely spoke English so I was already having problems simply making the appt. Then I went on to show up for my appt. weeks later. When I get there the"new manager" tells me that they are under new management and do not accept the voucher. She tells me in broken English to call the company and that they will refund me. As I was leaving she tells me that she can give me "special price" for my massage, and of course I have to remind her that I already paid for a massage and don't want to pay for it again. Livingsocial was aware of the problem and they refunded me, so Yay for me but the experience itself was just unprofessional. I would NEVER go back, or recommend anyone else to. read more

Horrible experience. Facial lady did not speak English. Wish they told me that because once I laid down and wanted to explain to her certain areas to focus on it was useless as she didn't understand a thing. Next door is a restaurant and you can hear all the pots and pans they wash through the paper thin walls, relaxing music could not be high enough to block that out. I enjoyed a very relaxing facial & massage. Having had numerous massages/facials in the past I mentally prepared myself for that similar experience. The music during the facial was nothing to write home about...panora blaring Whitney Houston's "I will always love you"....NOT exactly what I expected. The massage was the icing on the cake. Very clean, and quite place, with a pleasant and knowledgeable staff. My amazing "therapist", was an elderly Chinese woman by the name of Lucy. At 1st glance, I thought I'd get a nice soothing massage, instead of the deep ones I get on a regular basis. Surprise! Lucy has 17 yrs experience, and packs some mean, magical fingers. She stretched me, pulled me, and found deep tissue I did not know existed. So impressed by the explanation of her techniques, and knowledge, truly a great lady. Noticed less joint pains that same day, not to mention I was so relaxed I napped for the 1st time in years. I've switched my membership from another spa to this one. This place is awful. First, I tried making a reservation a few weeks ago due to having a living social voucher. Initially the phone just rang and it went to a VM for a different number. I reluctantly left a message. The lady who called back spoke very broken English and would not let me make an appt; she said it was walk ins only. I figured to try back a later day. So today when I call again the same lady answered and when I say I have a L/S voucher, she says they are booked solid until after the voucher exp'd. I asked if she would honor it after the exp date, and she said no. In broken English she says she sold no voucher. I was having difficulty understanding her and asked if there was someone else I could speak with. A man gets on phone and its then that I learn that the business was under new management and she refused to honor the voucher or its value. He also advised I would have to deal with the website for a refund. I told him I had been a customer of Massage Eden for the past 2 years and they were about to lose a customer. He apologized and I told him I would spread the word of their lack of customer service. The Asian lady then proceeds to call me back, in an attempt to dissuade me from passing on my negative experience to others, by reiterating she had only taken over one month prior. She again made no attempt to remedy the situation. I've since lodged a complaint with L/S in hopes I can get a refund. read more

I called 2 weeks ago and made reservations for 2 of my girlfriends for their birthday. The person taking the information was not very fluent in English but we were able to set up an appointments for 2pm Sunday 1/31. When my friends arrived they were told there was no reservation for them and the lady was very nasty to them. She said I obviously I did not set up the appointment. I called the number I had dial a week before the same lady answered, after telling her how horrible it was that she told my friends I did not make a reservation when I was sure she was the person I spoke with and that I would respect her more if she admitted she made a mistake, only then she apologized to me! However she ruin my friends birthday and told them she did not care and at some point flat out ignore them and started taking care of other customers. When my friends said they would make sure to give a bad rating because of her horrible customer service she said she did not care. Save yourself from the opposite of a relaxing experience. Eden Spa has a very quiet, relaxing and serene atmosphere. My wife and I started going to Eden a few months ago for a monthly massage. On my last visit the massage therapist, Ana, did a Chinese massage which worked a little deeper into muscles and joints than Swedish massages that I had in the past. It's been a few days now and I have to say that I can still feel the benefits. My wife notices a similar result. We're both looking forward to our next visit. read more

I went to Massage Eden on a groupon voucher and it was a horrific experience. As I write this my back is in so much pain it is indescribable. As I entered the receptionist was very unfriendly and didn't make me feel welcomed. They don't speak English well so I knew there would be a communication barrier. As I went back to the massage room and changed I noticed there was lipstick on the sheet used for the massage table. Absolutely disgusting!!! After that was addressed the massage began. The massage therapist never even asked me what I was comfortable. I went in for a sweedish massage and I felt like I got pounded. The light was bright in the room and it was not relaxing at all. I just tried to schedule an appointment for a wax. The person who answered the phone offers me a Monday appointment in the morning. I ask for the following Saturday as I work during the week. The person tells me that they don't do coupons on the weekends and the service can only be done during the week in the morning. I state that I work and the person says " well I'm sorry". I don't understand the difference between if I have a coupon or not it is for your establishment, I receive the same service regardless how I make the payment. Been to Massage Eden several times and really loved their couples massage. It's been a while since we've been and when we saw them on Groupon, we decided to go again. We called ahead, made sure we could be in the same room and booked our massage. Everything was set. We got there at 5:15 and we were told that they are under new management. We signed all the papers again and were ready to go at 5:30 PM (when our massage was supposed to start). We were asked to wait in the waiting room because one of the therapists was not ready. I thought this was not professional, but I was not going to worry about having to wait. They finally got us at 5:50PM and when we went to room, they did not take us to the couples room. I told them that we booked to be in the couples room, so they went ahead and accommodated us. Before they did this though, we had to go back to the waiting room because they had to prepare the couples room. We waited another 5 - 7 minutes. By the time we were settled it was 6 PM. The massage itself was good, however, by 7:05 PM they told us they were done. Our 90 minute massage somehow turned into a 65 minute massage. Obviously I was not happy because of their inefficiency I lost 25 minutes out of my massage. I complained and the therapist said that they took us to the room at 5:50 pm and they were done at 7:15 while it was not even 7:15 when we were talking and we had been complaining for about 5 minutes already. I asked the receptionist to call the owner and the owner basically said that there was 1 therapist that could do another 25 minutes, but there were two of us. They were not going to do anything else. Needless to say, if you are ok with paying for something you are not going to get, go for it. Groupon members beware. I've bought a lot of stuff through Groupon and never ever had a problem. After this, I will definitely be more caerful. Too bad management changed.. Massage Eden was great, not anymore. Will never go there again. read more

I want to warn you all about using Massage Eden in Miramar located at 16319 Miramar Parkway (near Chili's restaurant). My husband purchased a gift certificate for a Swedish Massage, and included a tip (an $86 value), as a gift me me for Valentines Day 2013. I called to make an appointment in April and had a hard time communicating with the receptionist. What I did understand, though, was that there was some sort of problem and she was not allowing me to book an appointment. Frustrated, I told her I would drive down to Massage Eden and speak directly to them, hoping a face-to-face would be a little easier. Once I arrived at this business, I was told that my gift card would not be honored because the current owner just purchased the business from the previous owners - even though the name of the business remained the same, as well as all of the furniture and decor. I asked if I could get the name and address of the previous owners for a refund, but I was told that they did not have that information. The receptionist/owner then offered to give me a Swedish Massage at a discounted price of $50! I actually had to repeat what she had just offered to me, stating that the massage would then cost ME $136!!!!! I told her absolutely NOT and then she suggested I call my credit card company and ask for a refund from them - a solution that I still was not satisfied with - why should my credit card company take a loss for this business!?!? I decided to Google 'Massage Eden' in an attempt to leave a bad review on any and all sites possible and I found that many others have had the same experience. read more
