As challenging as an experience as this was, I am so thankful for Caring Pathways and the service…read morethey provided. Their staff, across the board, greeted us with only compassion and kindness. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

There was so much empathy throughout the experience, that it took away the awkward or embarrassing concerns. They also offered counseling services. Afterwards we received a beautiful carved wooden box to hold the ashes- we were not expecting anything this nice. To me, this was worth the higher price you pay- rather than going to the vet to do this.

It's only a YEAR later that I'm getting around to writing this review, and the experience with this company still makes me tear up, with gratitude! As a first-time client, I had some special requests, like keeping my dog's body for a few days while I finalized ideas for memorabilia. They honored my wishes with such grace and compassion. When I needed an urn, they went above and beyond, showing me their inventory so I could select the perfect one, as each wood option was uniquely cut and meaningful. Their attention to detail and genuine care for my situation made such a difference. Despite my attempts to give them a cash tip as a thank-you, they kindly refused and asked that I leave a review instead. So here it is (a YEAR later): Caring Pathways offers incredible service with a truly compassionate touch. I can't recommend them enough. The vet, Kaity, and her assistant that came to help us were just as much of a blessing as the ladies at the mortuary. You're all just the most extraordinary team of humans!! Thank you, again!!!! With love, from Teresa & Bourbon.

Dr. Kira came to our house and she was just amazing from the moment she stepped in. She made everything so comfortable for us. She gave us as much time as we needed with our little angel, Casper. From an Aggressive cat to a happy cat! After difficult experiences with taking my cat to the vet ,…read moreand the vet being limited in treatment, health checks and vaccinations due to the cat's extreme stress and aggressive behavior, I decided to spend the extra money and try at home care for my highly anxious cat. The vet and her technician came on time. Before they arrived, they reached out to me and advised me to put my cat in a safe and closed place, so I put her in the bathroom. Because of my cat's behavior, I was unable to get her to take gabapentin, so I was worried that they might not be able to treat her and give her the vaccines. When the vet, Dr Allie, and her very capable tech came, she asked me a few questions about the cat and then they both, the vet s and the tech went into the bathroom with their medical equipment. I told them to be careful and take their heavy gloves for protection, which they did. I waited nervously outside the door waiting to hear much commotion and cat hisses, growing out snarls. Instead, I heard 2 meek meows and a couple of hisses and after less than 10 minutes, the door opened with my cat sauntering out with her tail held up and perfectly fine, followed by the vet and the tech! My cat even rubbed affectionately up against the legs of the vet team happily! The vet not only was able to administer the cat the vaccines but she was able with the help from her tech, to examine the cat and trim off some matted fur! I concluded that even though this was more expensive than taking the cat in a carrier to the vet's office and dealing with an angry cat, it was worth it for not just the cat but for me in terms of avoiding stress.
