I could cry writing this review because we are so thankful. It was a nightmare to have to put my best friend down but A peaceful passage made it just that a peaceful Passage. With gentleness and kindness she set up and spoiled our girl with treats. She gave us space and time and reassurance that we were making the right decision. She was kind and knowledgeable. I honestly couldn't imagine doing this any other way. Thank you for taking care of our family during this difficult time.

This service in our home was a wonderful, humane way for us to say good-by to our wonderful 14 year old Lab.

We lost him unexpectedly, and Megan was incredibly compassionate, caring, and thoughtful throughout the entire process. She came to our home to pick him up, performed an examination, and shared her professional thoughts on what may have caused his sudden passing. She carefully wrapped him in a blanket before taking him for the water cremation, which helped bring us comfort during such a heartbreaking time. The entire process was quick, affordable, and handled with exceptional care. The water cremation was beautifully done. His remains were returned in a lovely silk pouch, and we received beautifully crafted paw prints for my husband, myself, and each of our children. We also received a small glass keepsake containing his name and a lock of his fur. As an added touch, there was a packet of wildflower seeds and a scented candle, which was such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture. Overall, we were truly blown away by the level of compassion, care, and attention to detail provided by Companion Crossroads. We are incredibly grateful for the kindness they showed our family and would highly recommend their services to anyone facing the loss of a beloved pet.

Saying goodbye to you family is never easy. However, our experience with Dr. Stephanie was as…read moreseamless and compassionate as we could have hoped for. She is very knowledgeable and kind, took everything at our pace and explained the steps before and during the procedure. She took measures to ensure that our kitty, Cassie was as comfortable and calm as possible. After the injection to make her sleepy we got to give her her favorite treat. She fell asleep with her tongue out, completely at peace. Dr. Stephanie came over after a few minutes and verified that she was gone and reassured us that we'd done the right thing in ending her suffering. We even had the option to keep Cassie for a few hours after she passed to say our last goodbyes before dropping her off at the aquamation center. All day we kept saying how we couldn't believe how relieved we felt and how a lot of our anxiety had been that it would not be peaceful, like the time we'd lost our other cat. We had so much closure around Cassie's passing right after it happened and I think a lot of that was due to the fact that Journey Home did such an incredible job at making Cassie's last day so normal that she didn't know what was happening. A few weeks later Cindy dropped off a beautiful package of memory keepsakes and her ashes. We will treasure them forever. The services are a bit more expensive than going in to the vets office, but was cheaper than other in-home euthanasia options we looked into. If you have the funds to invest in this, it's definitely worth it. We felt at peace with our decision and felt supported by the whole team before, during and after. If we ever have to make this decision again, we will choose Journey Home.

She explained exactly what was going to happen and gave me space to hold my girl and cry. About a week later, Cindy dropped of the ashes and everything was so beautifully put together and I was happy to receive the plaster casting of my girl's paw print...that was very touching. It meant so much to do this hard, heart-breaking thing in the peaceful setting of my own home. I would recommend Journey Home to anyone seeking this kind of at home euthanasia. Thank you, Dr. Stephanie!!

It's only a YEAR later that I'm getting around to writing this review, and the experience with this company still makes me tear up, with gratitude! As a first-time client, I had some special requests, like keeping my dog's body for a few days while I finalized ideas for memorabilia. They honored my wishes with such grace and compassion. When I needed an urn, they went above and beyond, showing me their inventory so I could select the perfect one, as each wood option was uniquely cut and meaningful. Their attention to detail and genuine care for my situation made such a difference. Despite my attempts to give them a cash tip as a thank-you, they kindly refused and asked that I leave a review instead. So here it is (a YEAR later): Caring Pathways offers incredible service with a truly compassionate touch. I can't recommend them enough. The vet, Kaity, and her assistant that came to help us were just as much of a blessing as the ladies at the mortuary. You're all just the most extraordinary team of humans!! Thank you, again!!!! I found this pet sitting service after getting recommendations from another neighborhood app…read more Several neighbors raved about them. They say they are ex-EMTs and I have two cats, one with a respiratory issue that requires a daily puff from an asthma inhaler. So pet sitting is a very necessary need for us when we go out of town (even for a night). When I contacted them, Gary (one of the owners) was nice and explained everything and seemed comfortable with the inhaler. We schedule a meet and greet and they never showed. Gary said it was tentative (I didn't get that impression when scheduled) and rescheduled another one. Both Gary and Kathy (the other owner) came to that meet and greet and we discussed the puffer and our needs and felt like we were on the same page. We did a road trip in May and they took care of the cats with daily 30 minute visits for a week. Actually, I scheduled ONE daily 30m block everyday that week, but they actually came multiple times a day (and night). Now, they didn't tell us in advance they were doing this. They didn't ask if that was OK and I had to call while on the road to figure out if there was and issue (they only did the daily report once so I had no idea and no other communication happened unless I called). I have doorbell cameras and pet cameras, so I can see if/when someone is in the house (all fully disclosed before service). They assured me all was fine and they just wanted to do extra checks on my asthma cat. OK....It was odd, but the cats were getting attention & meds, so great. When we got back lots of stuff was out of place and lights were on, which wasn't great, but all was fine so we thought we will try again. A couple months later I booked a daily visit for one day we were gone overnight. THEY NO SHOWED. They did not call, message or email. They did not answer any of my emails or messages. They have a portal and I can see Kathy (the owner) was schedule to come and did not. They STILL have not acknowledged any of my messages (it has been 5 days). My asthma kitty had a few episodes after the missed dose - which sucks. I just can't understand such a cold hearted and completely unprofessional company. These people seriously have a problem and should not be in pet care.
