I hope they did what I asked., but not happy with the box I paid for, I felt like it was not going to hold joeys ashes the bottom slid out very easily . I called and they offered to send me a new one but the person I talked to told me they were Nass produced . I opted out of that and ordered something from Etsy. I was shocked when I got a notice they shipped Joey through UPS . I was not given an option to pick up Joey my heart I felt so heavy I felt it was disrespectful that just added to my broken heart. I emailed them and never heard back Wheatridge Animal Hospital used them I just went with their recommendation . read more

We highly recommend Lasting Paws in Henderson, CO. After 13 years, we said goodbye to our beloved dog Sophie. Here, we were able to say goodbye in private with dignity and respect. The staff are wonderful, sensitive, caring, empathetic, understanding. We got her ashes in a beautiful, ornate box, and a paw print, and a clipping of fur in a card. We will treasure these always. Thank you! read more

We lost our cat last week Wednesday June 3rd,2026.We had "Penny" for 20 years so was very emotional for us to loose her! I googled pet cremation and this company had a 5 star rating! I can see why! They were so compassionate with us.Did not try to up sale us on anything. We knew what we wanted for her and they let us take our time on choosing the products and cremation we wanted.Had a room where we could spend as much time with her as we wanted with her and did not rush us. We took her last Thursday, June 4th to be creamated. Got her back yesterday June 8th. The way they gave her back to us was presented in a beautiful way. They were so compassionate again to me when I picked her up! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WITH YOUR PET! THEY TREAT THEM AS ONE OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS!!!!!!!!! read more

This location used to have a good pet cremation service, but it is not the same place. The staff are the same and are okay, but the entire business is predatory and heartless. We had to make a decision for our cat suddenly, and chose to take her remains here, in spite of the fact it has been bought out by a conglomeration, which was a terrible mistake. We were hoping to get a matching urn for our other cat who'd passed, which they said they could do, but were unable to do so when we got there. It's now owned by a huge Canadian company, and they've raised their prices to almost $400 for a cat cremation, which only came with a velvet bag, 'though they do have urns. There used to be a private mourning room, where you could say goodbye to your pet, but the new owners decided that wasn't very important, and put in a new break room for the employees there instead, without replacing it. The business was sold twice, and the employees were originally told by the people who bought the crematorium from the original owners, that they would leave it a family run business, which they knew was important to them. They lied, and sold it out to 'Gateway,' which is who owns it now. We learned none of this before going, and were done with the paperwork and running the payment, before we found out. It was really my mother's cat, and she had to say goodbye to her in the BATHROOM! The employees are not happy, and the service is not the cost or caring you may be expecting, if you went here before. Careless, cold owners and almost a $300 increase in cost! I strongly recommend against going here. When you have lost a loved one, this is not the kind of experience you will want, on top of all the grief and decisions you must make in such a fragile moment. I am beyond-words-angry at what this place has become and what it has done to us. We've been through so much with her death, to end it like this was the worst. When we finally had to go, my mother kissed her one last time and had to say 'I'm sorry,' before leaving her there with them. I would never wish the experience on anyone this place gave us, even if I hated them very badly. What they are doing here, to the employees and to the humans who bring their pets here to say goodbye, is not right. There are still family mortuaries who won't overcharge you and deprive you of the right to say goodbye to your pet. It is not okay what they have done to this place, and what they have let it become. Do not go to Lasting Paws 'Memorial Services' if you need to say goodbye to your pet. There are better, more caring services available. read more

I had an exceptionally good experience with the folks at pet cremation services and I am so grateful. They were empathic and kind without being sappy or trite, which is not easy to do. They answered all my questions, and then more questions, and even made last minute arrangements for me to be able to witness my dog's cremation process, which is not something I knew was an option nor something I knew I needed to do until it was happening. I lost my little dog after 15.5 amazing, best thing that will ever happen to me years together. Being able to stay with her throughout her process of dying- from having an at home euthanasia vet to bringing her to pet cremation myself and being able to watch her actually get cremated - was so important to me feeling like I did right by her, and helped so much in my grieving process. read more

We have had the misfortune of needing to use the services here twice. It is a misfortune that is only made slightly better by the great and caring work these people do. The people I interacted with were truly wonderful during a difficult time. They offer a wonderful and thoughtful service. Thank you!

All the reviews speak the truth. Five star service for your four legged loved ones. Family run business of pet lovers that want to make sure your family is respected and cared for. I hadn't personally been out to this part of Wheat Ridge before but it was a lovely drive. You may park on the street or in the lot where they have five or six available spots. When I came in to pick up our Bella the front desk woman was extremely kind. Small couch to sit on, bathroom, some literature on grieving and support groups, and a small wall with various urns displayed. Before picking her up my local vet suggested this company. They deal with them for various pickups and gave me the number for Pet Cremation Services. Although it was past business hours PCS walked me through the process and came and picked up our late pup. A small amount of paperwork and in just a few days we were able to pick up the ashes. No one wants to deal with a business or event like this. I have had several family deaths and Pet Cremation Services treated the entire process as if I myself were in need of Cremation. Extremely professional and sympathetic. On site you are able to attend a viewing and even see the Cremation room to ensure your pet it put to rest properly. The standard for pet care services. Thank you. read more

Lasting Paws - Shame. Great caring people. Thank you. - Pet Cremation Services Near Me - Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Lost our Aussie last week and found this company. Based on website and Yelp decided this was where we would bring her. Great decision. Owners were/are over the top kind and helpful. Prices quite reasonable I thought and while they offer pickup we chose to make the drive up from castle rock. I very highly recommend for helping get through a most difficult time. Today we had to say goodbye to our other fur baby; an Aussie/border collie mix. We again trusted our loved one to the gentle care of PCS. Katie in particular was very supportive both in person and her emails when I contacted her about coming in. My wife and I again highly recommend PCS for your pet's final care. read more

So...we had such a positive experience with this company 3.5 years ago that I didn't hesitate to go back to them again. From the very start this time, it was clear that the whole "family business" and "personal care" aspect that led me to do business with them in the first place just no longer exists. Last time they responded personally to my inquiry. This time I got a very clinical response...and I didn't hear back from them for almost a week telling me that I couldn't tell them when I wanted to come in...I had to call them and book a specific time that worked for them. Luckily, the folks at the Wheatridge office, when I got to talk to them in person, were very compassionate and easy to work with. They are doing curbside drop off and pick up now, so there is no room where you can say goodbye to your pet anymore. I explained at drop-off that I work 45 miles from their office, and that I leave for work an hour before they open and don't get off of work until a full hour after they close. They called today around 1 to say that we could come pick up. However, the young man I talked with was totally unwilling to be flexible in times. I had asked if I could come at 2 and he said no, 2:30 was the earliest possible time. I had to rearrange our family plans...luckily, one of my adult children was off work today and was able to help by taking care of the 3 pm appointment that was made 8 weeks ago so I could go up to Wheatridge. Once I got to the office, again, the employee there was very kind. I didn't even have to call, they came out as soon as they saw me pull in. So...yes, I would still use them. With hesitation. For most people, their services will mean having to take 2 days off work. I understand that they have expanded...that they now own crematoriums in Centennial and Fort Collins, too. It seems they have a central answering service dealing with their phone and email contact. Maybe the owners want those people to be hard nosed and very business-like. Maybe they feel like they need someone to be the bad guy for them. I will say, though, that, back in 2018, I contacted three different companies. Two were located closer to my home than Pet Cremation Services. I chose them because of the personal and compassionate response I got there from my very first email to them. Had I not done business with them in the past, I would not have had done business with them this time, given the difference in tone. read more

Linda and Jim were opening their location in Centennial in early May. They were not even finished with construction on their front lobby. Yet, there I was with a sad situation needing a cremation. In spite of everything, they opened their doors for me and helped me in my difficult situation. They were so understanding and kind. They have a location in Wheat Ridge in addition to their Centennial location (6259 S. Troy Cir, Centennial, CO 80111). 303-403-1687 We had to put our girl, Brenna, a 15.5 year old Bedlington Terrier, to sleep 5-3-19. We wanted a private cremation. We are so happy we found Linda and Jim with Pet Cremation Service. Linda and Jim were both so helpful. They have pets also and fully appreciate what a terrible tragedy we feel. We left our girl with them on Friday with cremation planned for Tuesday. Of course, she had to be frozen. So, on Tuesday well before we arrived, they got her out of the freezer to warm up for us. Her sweet little ears were warm and flexible. Her body was warm on the outside. They gave us all the time we needed to hold her and tell her how much we love her. Then, we watched her put in the oven. Everyone needs different things and they made sure we got what we wanted and needed. Linda and Jim were both totally supportive and so very kind. It really doesn't get any better than this. They are both very good at being gentle and making this as easy as possible. We will never forget them. We are grateful to have the ashes of the best dog we ever had. We have more dogs. We know where we will go when their time is up. We highly recommend Pet Cremation Service. Pam and Bob read more

This place is absolutely wonderful, I will always remember how positive of an experience I had with the staff at Pet Cremation Services in Wheatridge. They really are so genuine in how they help you feel at ease when you first walk into their lobby, from when you have to come back to pick up your pet's ashes. I felt very secure and comfortable leaving my pet in their hands, and they have a beautiful room where you can spend some time with your pet before you have to depart. They left me a very sweet voicemail the next day letting me know my kitty's ashes were ready to be picked up, and they even sent me a lovely card in the mail signed by every staff member shortly after I picked my up pet. Truly a very authentic, wonderfully friendly and empathic staff, I definitely recommend this team to help you with this difficult time in your life, they will treat you like family. read more

I recently lost my dog Nugget unexpectedly and had been using Pet Cremation Services for years. They are the most compassionate, caring and understanding staff ever. The staff gently picked up Nugget out of my car and took him inside. I had requested a private witness cremation and from the time of making the arraignments to picking him up, there never was any pressure to purchase a urn etc. The day of the cremation that morning Nugget was placed in a room where I could say my good byes and be with him one last time. Granted a witness cremation is not easy and not for everyone but for me it peace. About any hour and half later I was called to say that he could be picked up. I can't thank the staff enough for all they do during such a difficult time. Thank you. read more

This place is amazing. The staff are so gentle with your furry loved one. They are caring, kind, and treat your special friend just as you would want them to be treated, with dignity, respect, and a showing of kindness. I took my dog, Skruffy, to them, if you make an appointment, they allow you to see that your best friend is the only one in the crematorium. This will be a bit morbid, but they have a great amount of urns to look at and choose from. Picture box urns, metallic urns, stone urns. This should be the only place you take your pet for that final moment. One thing I purchased was a clay paw print. They put the paw of your pet into a clay mold, then you take it home, bake it in the over for a bit, and you have another type of permanent memento of you loved one. I can't say enough good things about this place. I was truly blessed to find such a great group of people. read more

Pet Cremation Services handled the cremation of my beloved 16 year old cat that I chose to have euthanized at the Denver Dumb Friends League. She was old and sick. Her quality of life had severely declined. The DDFL contracts cremation services to Pet Cremation Services. I received my cat's ashes back in seven days with a certificate of cremation. Her urn came in a beautiful velvet burgundy bag which said "Until We Meet At The Rainbow Bridge." This means so much to me and made a sad moment a little easier. I highly recommend Pet Cremation Services. When our dog Vegas passed away peacefully in his sleep, we called to discuss our options. We were able to schedule a private witness cremation. This was so important to me to be there with my best friend until the very end. We were able to see him being placed into the crematory and were able to have his ashes returned to us the same day at no extra cost. This service meant so much to me because I was always curious after working for veterinarians and wondering what was done for the body... I never realized that as a pet owner I could have the option to witness the cremation... and the process was really peaceful and it allowed me to say a final goodbye/prayer. I felt at peace to be able to send him away with his favorite teddy bear, flowers, and a handwritten letter. The staff was so compassionate, patient and understanding. They were gentle and kind to us and Vegas. read more

We can't say enough good things about the service we received from Pet Cremation Services when we lost our dog and best friend in December. We were just devastated and the folks there were extremely kind, compassionate and professional. They contacted us prior to arrival to gather our information so that everything would be ready when we arrived. When we pulled up, a nice lady came out to help us. She was extremely compassionate, kind and gentle in the transfer and assured us they would take good care of our boy...and they did. A few days later, we received a call advising us he was ready to come home. Again, when we arrived, they were ready and came out with him and the mementos we'd requested. It was clear they understood the pain of losing a pet family member and did everything they could to ease the pain and burden of having to say goodbye. I wouldn't wish the pain of losing a beloved pet on anyone but, when the time comes, I highly recommended Pet Cremation Services. read more

Cannot say enough about these guys. Warm, compassionate, caring, and above all they treat your animal with tremendous dignity. Their costs are so reasonable.
