I brought in my Giant TCR Composite 1 - road bike for a tire repair which has been down for over a month. My next door neighbor recommended Let's Roast Cycles which is actually closer than the previous bike shop I went to for repair known as Bike 4 Life, a bike shop in Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. When it involves maintenance on my road bike I am very hesitant on taking it just anywhere in the city. After calling them to find out if they fixed road bike tires this bike shop became an instant add on my list as a go-to. I pulled into their small parking lot which appears to hold only a few vehicles. For the most part visitors pulled in front of the shop which is an option as well along W. Grand Ave. Do not be fooled by what you see outside of the shop as well as the BMX bikes on display inside of the shop. The employees are bike enthusiasts and are very knowledgeable about bikes. I get excited being inside of a bike shop and cannot help looking around at the bikes as well as the parts in-stock. I fell in love with two bikes by Fyxation, a midnight blue, and a black version. In time I will keep my eyes peeled for them to see if the prices drop on either. While looking around I felt in good hands after taking notice of their gigantic trophy for being 2020 CABDA Midwest Retailer of the year. During my experience with this bike shop, Tabbie, the employee who assisted me, treated me with the utmost respect. She was very informative about my replacement tire, the continental gatorskin tire that she put on my bike. Most likely when I do return for a front tire I will replace it with a continental gatorskin as well. She fixed me up no more than 10 minutes! I was out actually quicker than it took me to load my bike on my vehicle, hehe. I had a pleasant experience at Let's Roast Cycles. And I surely let it be known that I would be returning for a tune-up on my road bike as I interacted with Tabbie. I definitely recommend this bike shop as my neighbor recommended it to me. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

I was in this shop yesterday. Fist and foremost, very customer oriented. I picked out a set of wheels, added some basic accessories and a helmet all under $600.00. I am very satisfied with my purchase and the bike is sick. I was not pressured to buy above reasonable prices, plus they honored my Veteran status and afforded me a discount. Very personable and attentive. You can tell they are true riding enthusiast that enjoy engaging with the average rider to give the the most comfort and best price for their experience. Unlike other bike stores I have written reviews for. Go spend your money here - you will not be disappointed!

Picked up this sick Fit Bike Co FB22 whip to hammer in the parks and dirt. Go see Let's Roast Cycles and buy a bike!

Super kind folks here. Went to buy something small and asked silly questions but they never made me feel silly.

Always reliable and fair pricing. Convenient location on Broadway. I mean if you get a flat on LSD…read moreit's relatively easy to walk over to Broadway since it runs parallel and throw your bike on a bus. For my single speed and racing bikes always on time with good service and fair pricing. Nice selection and if you don't see it they have no problem ordering direct. Quality small local business. Check them out, Spring is coming.

In response to the (mostly) positive reviews to this place, I trusted them to provide quality…read moreservice. My rating is due to bike service issues, not personnel. The workers were what you'd expect as far as being nice - but the mechanics are amateur at best. After my first disappointment with their routine "maintenance service", I wanted to give them another shot with my brakes. After all, I yearn to have a good relationship with a local bike shop. And sadly, it's a bigger disappointment than my first visit. I asked for them to bleed both brakes. I received a call saying they're "fine" and suggested NOT bleeding brakes; but the pads and rotors were caked in oil and other residue (I cleaned them both 3 days ago). But I figured you gotta trust the pros, right? Wrong. I figured they'd replace the pads, clean the rotors and call it a day. After all, I hadn't sanded the pads this past time and they are getting old (10 months). Nope, just VERY poorly sanded the existing brake pads, cleaned the rotor below my normal standard and was charged nearly $50. For that. To sand 4 little brake pads and (presumably) apply some rubbing alcohol to the rotors. $50. Look at the picture of the brake pads after they serviced them. Lmao. I could have done that for $2 at home since all I need is a little more rough sand paper. Ha. And no, it didn't help my brakes at all. They produced very little friction, we're extremely loud and there was even a clicking noise from my drivetrain on my ride home I haven't even diagnosed yet. I just had to write this review. Ha. Should have just told them to screw off and bleed the damn brakes. To me, it's simple. This is a classic big city bike shop that is money hungry. $50 for that is LAUGHABLE. I could take this to my hometown bike shop and for that money they'd do a bleed, drivetrain clean, fork pressurization, frame clean, etc. And after all that, I still need my brakes bled. They didn't do it. Ha. EDIT: Attached is the video of my new wheel sound! I think it's just the dork disk, but still.
