Of course being a smart consumer I shopped around when we were in need of replacing our pool filter, pump and converting to salt water in our pool. Out of the many local stores I checked for quotes/prices. Leslie's in Wallingford CT was BY FAR the most organized program/service department, helpful, and friendly. Also the most affordable. At other stores I had to take pictures of price tags to get an estimate and I was also told at other stores they couldn't give me an estimate for the job until they went out to DO THE WORK! Sorry but this family is on a budget and before we decide WHO will do the work we need an estimate, NOT when you show up to do the work! That's not how things should work. So anyway John from Leslie's service department came out provided a WRITTEN estimate and Mary the store manager has gone out of her way to try and remove obstacles to get him out here for installation. I haven't seen amazing customer service like this in years. Every time I go into the store for just a water test I am thrilled and amazed by the knowledge of the staff and enthusiasm to help and care about us! Just, thank you! That's all I have to say! I have been working with Leslie's Pool Supplies in Wallingford for about 4 years, and they have been very helpful for our fiberglass pool. All the staff has been helpful, though I have worked with Mary and Angelo the most. In addition, John, the technician who opens and closes our pool, is always helpful and pleasant to work with. Just a great company. Mary answered the phone a few minutes after closing, which was so great and helpful for me! All the employees are pleasant and informative. Don't call. It's a busy time so first come first serve. I called and got out on hold for 17 minutes, disconnected and when I called back I asked if I could be helped and was told it was too hectic in the store for the amount of employees scheduled. Bummer. read more

I bought a house with a pool April 30, 2019 and I knew nothing about a pool. From the looks of the pool, and the pool sample that I was asked to bring into the store that the pool had not been open for sometime. I truly felt intimidated and scared to do this. Ericka who was a new employee, and after hearing Alison asking her a few questions that I found out that she was a new employee. Erika was so comfortable with what she was doing and making me calm down that she gave me no clue that she was new employee. Ericka showed me how to get coupons, and how to get an online account. Allison was overseeing what was going on, and wanted to make sure that everything was right and I was comfortable with what I was asked to buy, as well as given me a few more options. After having less than stellar service at the pool stores near me, I tried Leslie and I'm so happy, and relieved that, I did. The staff here is fantastic and they take the time to listen to you and give you great advice. Every time I visit I learn something new, and my pool and spa have never looked better. I come in regularly to have my pool and spa water tested (water testing is free) and I get all my questions answered. This is a wonderful spot, I highly recommend! read more
