I do basic maintenance so I needed someone with skills higher than just cleaning. I found Max on Craigslist and he answered and immediately gave me something to try before committing to a visit. His idea unfortunately didn't work to fix my issues so he came out the next day. He came out and spent time to check off any problems which included a CO2 blast in the pipes, replacing a pipe and part, as well as a filter clean... and voila, my pool seems to be working better than it has in a while. He cleaned my pool in a rush every time and it always seemed like a sloppy job. I would have my pool cleaned once a week for 90 dollars which I felt was a good price but considering the service and customer service I have received, I decided to cancel them. For one, the pool guy was always claiming that my gate was locked when it wasn't. My gate looks like it's actually locked but really isn't. The pool guy just sees and a lock and doesn't actually look at the gate from a close distance. It's happened multiple times and I felt like I shouldn't pay for a service that isn't being done. Second, the pool guy never communicates with me, I have a good amount of pool cleaning supplies and apparently he needed some stuff that I had and never told me but told Max (the owner) that I don't leave any of the supplies out for him. It got to the point where my pool turned green because the pool guy thought my gate was locked and skipped my service for an entire 2 weeks while I was gone on vacation. It took them over a week to get my pool water fixed. And lastly, I feel like I was being overcharged had I never said anything. There's a "one time fee" of 75 dollars once a year and every single invoice had that charge on it. If I never would of said anything he would be coming up on 75 extra every month. I called and asked him about this and Max claimed I never paid it when in reality I know I did cause I wrote him a check and have the copy! I honestly would not recommend "Max pool services" to anyone. During this entire process I started cleaning my own pool and watching videos so I feel confident and no longer need his services. You might have a better experience than me or you may not. The last review was over 5 years ago so I had to at least update this page
