Update!! The district manager Pierre found our transaction and reached out to my hubby and myself. He explained he was never called and that the information I was given by the sales associate was INCORRECT they do match brick and mortar stores and such JUST AS THE SIGNAGE states and thus was completely unacceptable. He also rectified this situation and earned my trust back as a customer. I am sure he used this as a great opportunity to coach this sales associate, in customer service and product information. It's RIDICULOUS! RIDICULOUS how Leslie Arden store customer service attitude was performed on May 27th, 2024-Memorial Day. We have been clients for this location for several years but only to buy chemicals. There isn't anything that tied our relationship. It's just a place to buy chemicals very different from Safeway that they talk to you, Costco, and other stores that make yourself feel respected as a customer and wanting to come back as needed. Today my husband went to the Leslie store picked up the chemicals and went to pay. When asked about the chemicals price that he supposed to be cheaper the guy just looked at him with a mockery attitude as if he couldn't afford to pay them. The other cashier guy was serving another customer but he stopped to attending the customer to pay attention to the situation and both of them were so rude that my husband felt very bad tolding them that he had enough money to pay for the products. My husband left the store devastated however, outside the store the other customer who saw everything was waiting for my husband was waiting and said: It was RIDICULOUS how he treated you like that. I've been having issues with my chemicals & I've gone to this store many times. One really tall guy with dark hair & mustache answered all my questions last week. He was friendly & eager to help. Went back this week and a different guy (thin young guy with short dark hair) who seemed to be in charge was rude, unhelpful and seemed bothered by my existence. He checked his phone while I was talking & I found him extremely rude. There was no one in the store except me so I didn't understand why he was resisting in helping me. on Sunday March 6, 2022 I stopped by the store a couple minutes before closing. The sign on the store said we will be back in 10 minutes. I thought that a bit odd with the store closing in a couple minutes. The clerk was a little startled when I walked in and said that they would be closing in a minute. I was stopping to get a pool basket and he pointed the direction. He said he could not leave the register as all the cash was spread across the counter. bad for me as the registers were already turned off. I offered to pay cash, but he said no. As soon as I left, the clerk locked the door and took the sign that they would be back in 10 minutes away. The management should post that the store closes at 4:45. I try to buy local and do not mind paying the high prices at the store to keep money in the neighborhood. amazon gets this order at half the store price. Sorry. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about the staff here! I initially came in with a bad algae problem. Taylor walked me all of the accurate steps to fix the problem. That says A LOT considering I'm a new pool owner, with no prior knowledge of how to maintain healthy pool water. Well, I'm happy to report that my water is finally clear and just about swim ready! They don't just make promises to get you out of the door: they keep promises, and over deliver every time. Last summer, Tyler voluntarily called several stores to try to find what I needed -- and ultimately found it at a store in Nevada! -- he wouldn't stop until I had what I needed. I am very grateful for the excellent customer service provided by "Misty" at the Arden Way store. When I contacted her about the status of my pool pump repair, she said she would get back to me once she had a chance to see if the parts were available. She systematically went through all parts that could be applicable and found there was 1 missing from their inventory. The plan was to have service call me back to schedule the reair when the part was available. Even though service did not call me back; she did and has promptly arranged for service to take place tomorrow afternoon. If you own a pool I know you have been in here. The free water testing alone makes it worth the trip. Even better they have sales pretty often and get on the mailing list for even more special deals. They will also match their online prices so check those out on your phone or at home on computer before for go and print up or show the cashier your phone and they will give you the same deal.. I don't know why the prices are different but thats comforting to know you will get the best deal. Get your free water bottle and bring your water in for testing regularly. read more

I've been here a few times now after getting an above ground pool. I know there aren't too many pool supply stores in the area but I will say that this store is a must if you own a pool. I know it can be a bit more on the expensive side but in my opinion it's worth it. The times I've gone in ive dealt with Andrew who was very kind and knowledgeable. Today I worked with Tyler who was incredible. He answered all of my questions and concerns without hesitation. Found me all of the equipment I needed, and pointed me to products that made sense for what I had at home, not just the most expensive items. Strongly recommend coming in and doing a water test and picking Tyler's brain. Very happy customer. I'll be a regular for sure read more

Let me tell you the most important thing you need to know, because Leslie's won't: LESLIE'S POLICY IS THAT YOU CANNOT RETURN CHEMICALS. If a sales person says, "Don't worry, you can take it back," as they told us, do not believe them. That is apparently true of all Leslie's because we couldn't get them to take back any of the chemicals we'd purchased, despite the fact they were unopened and returned within the 14-day return period. They have tiny print below their return policies that reads: "Because safety is of the utmost importance, Leslie's is not permitted to accept chemical product returns." That's the last thing on the back of a receipt that reads: "14-day Satisfaction Guarantee--If for any reason you are unhappy with a product from Leslie's, return it with a receipt within 14 days in its original container* in sellable condition for a refund, exchange or store credit equal to your original purchase price." That astrisk is how they qualify the 14-day return policy, rather than beginning the sentence, "Except for most of what we sell--chemicals, ..." Beyond that, you should know that this particular Leslie's has abysmal, bordering on abusive, customer service. CSR Jon asked my wife why she wanted to return the chemicals, and when she said we didn't need them, he questioned whether that was really true given it took us 14 days to bring them back into the store (note: the receipt says you have 14 days). He then informed her that state law forbids them from taking the chemicals back--a fact not stated on the receipt, in any signage, or from what I can find, in any statute or regulation. When I asked what law he was citing, he said he didn't know, tried to snatch the receipt out of my hand, then gave a fake lunge at me when I told him not to touch me or the things I was holding. Yes, he lunged at me! I'm not making this up! I'm only giving one star because Yelp requires it to enter your rating. This place doesn't deserve even one. We were warned about Leslie's customer service and should have heeded that warning! read more

3rd time I have driven 15 minutes to find out they are out of stock on either rings for my filter or Frog Bac Pac for pools. This location has also given me bad advice/sold me product (conditioner-$40) that not only that I didn't need, but actually caused more harm than good. Recommend you keep a better inventory, and have an expert on hand at all times, and not employees in their late teens/early 20's that "think" they know what's wrong with your pool. She gave me options what I can do since I was having problems finding the 1 inch chlorine tablets. Just had an experience at this Leslie's that proves the value of a local business with a customer focus. I hope these guys stay around for a long time! When I let them know it was important for me to have my repair be done in an unreasonably short period of time, they spent the next 30 minutes digging through spare parts to make it happen. They easily could have said "sorry we'll have to order that part". Not the first good experience I have had with this store, but this one prompted me to give them 5 stars. Not sure why all the bad reviews. I have always been helped by a very informative staff member. They are all very professional. There are times you have to wait but I'm pretty patient and never come here if I'm in a hurry. My issues are simple most of the time. I had them come out to check out a pump issue. Once they realized the pump was blown, they suggested a replacement and they didn't charge me for the visit. All around happy with their services. read more

In exchange for testing the water they wanted my name, home address, phone number and email address. I refused my personal information and they refused to test the water unless I gave them what they demanded. I left. Went to Best Pool Supply on Folsom Blvd. with no hassle. I rate them 5 stars.
