Bob is excellent at what he does and charges a fair price. Maybe too low of a price. Hope he stays in business for a long time.

I have relied on Bob to service my hot tub for the past 30 years, and throughout that time he has consistently provided exceptional service. He is highly knowledgeable, thorough, honest, reliable, and fair. Bob consistently goes above and beyond to help others, and his professionalism and integrity are truly outstanding. I recommend him without reservation. read more

What a great company, what a great guy!. In today's world of big corporate companies that are all about making the most money on every job, my experience with Bob was fantastic. As a retired contractor I know a great tech when I experience one and Bob is a great tech. Great service at a reasonable price too. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Bob came highly recommended by my sister and I was thoroughly impressed with his service. Great communication, professional, punctual, and really knows his stuff. Was able to quickly diagnose the problem and even had the necessary parts in his truck. Had my hot tub up and running in less than an hour. His years of experience and knowledge really showed. This is who you need to call if you have an issue with your hot tub. read more

Fantastic Service! Bob is very professional, comes with his tools and parts, on time, and knows his stuff. Had my hot tub tested, drained, repaired, retested, refilled and re-retested in a couple hours. Reasonable rates, especially since he works quickly and his experience means less diagnostic time. read more

So Bob did it again. He books up fast, so plan in advance! This is the second time Bob fixed our spa and it's again our fault. We don't have enough power going to the backyard box so when everything clicks on at night, especially during a party, something always pops. This time it was the plug that was fried, pictured here. He was able to diagnose the issue over the phone to save time and money. Bob rearranged the proprietary plug configuration so that he could use the same type of plug that is off the shelf and completed the job for around the price of the preparatory plug if you bought direct. He showed me their ad online--it's ridiculous but a lot of companies do that, make something where you have to buy from them in order to fix it. In comes Bob: The most honest, most efficient, easy-going, easy to talk to, and nicest person you'll ever find, it's no wonder he's been in the business for so long and gets to choose his customers at this point. I am thrilled to be one of them and you would be lucky to be one also. Thanks again, Bob! read more

If you are looking for an honest person who provides quality service, then look no further. Bob is your man! The heater went out on my 1998 spa and Bob brainstormed with me on what the most cost effective option was. He helped me find the most affordable parts and only charged me for his time to install. It took a a little longer than he expected and he honored the quiste because that is who he is. I highly recommend him and am so grateful to have found him. I cannot express enough how satisfied I am with his work. The hot tub works great a month later after he completed the work. Thank you Bob!! read more

Hot Springs spa was not heating up. Jets were working. Bob was kind enough to give me information via voicemail of how to trouble shoot the problem. All said, it was a flow issue. I was able to get the spa working again with Bob's advice. read more

I have had to call Bob on several occasions to get me up and running. He sets appointments about a week out and you can count on him showing up on time. He's not a part-swapper. He theoretically diagnoses and narrows down the problem so you don't waste money. Very efficient, courteous, and professional. read more

Bob is the best. Completely reliable and honest. He clearly cares about his customers and his prices are more than reasonable. Can't recommend him highly enough. read more

Bob did excellent work on our Coleman spa. 1st tried to problem solve over the phone to save us the service call. When that didn't work, he came over and fixed the problem right away with a part he already had. Our spa works perfectly now! Additionally, Bob was very informative and taught me just a few things to help with my spa care. Even enjoyed chatting with a very fine human. Bob will be top of my list for all my spa service needs. read more

My hot tub was making a very loud humming noise. I had paid another company $150 for a service call about a month earlier so I was looking to save some money and a friend referred me to Bob at Pacific Spa Service. He came out, was very professional and nice, diagnosed the issue quickly all for a little more than 1/2 the cost of the other place!! Thankfully it was an easy fix and Bob was great. He even checked out other parts of our hot tub to ensure everything was in working order and checked the water and suggested the chemicals I should add! I highly recommend Bob and Pacific Spa Service for your hot tub issues. Thanks Bob!! read more

Very happy with the service by Pacific Spa Service. Bob was very knowledgeable, responsive, and reasonable. Most of all he was forthright and honest in estimating the work that needed to be done. A genuinely nice guy. read more

I was having trouble finding a decent spa repair company for my Jacuzzi. I tried Pacific Spa Repair after reading the excellent reviews on Yelp. I wasn't disappointed. Rob was professional and very knowledgeable. He's been in the business since the 80's. Rob took the time to answer all my questions and went above and beyond. He showed me in detail how my spa works and steps I could take to keep it in tip top shape. He's the only one I'll go to for my spa repair now. read more

My usual method for finding a service person is to check on yelp. And I have to tell you that this has worked well. Bob was as good as it gets. Very skilled and friendly. Easy to work with and he did a fabulous job at a reasonable rate. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a repair. He actually had a piece of equipment that worked on my 18 year old spa! Very impressive right! So add one more rave review to the pile!! read more

Bob deserves every 5-star review that he receives. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, and willing to share his experience in order to, of all things, not to have to call him back! He examined the spa, told us what happened (and probably reasons why the GFI circuit breaker did what it did), and how to prevent future issues. He gave is an incredible rate, and his kindness and professionalism is appreciated. read more

Whenever my spa needs service, I call Bob Muirhead. He once again quickly diagnosed and fixed my spa's problems, including researching the valve needed to fix the spa's water feature. He has excellent communication skills and is reliable, showing up when he says he will. Plus, his service fee is reasonable. read more

I have previously left a review for Bob and Pacific Spa Service. Back in October 2016 Bob fixed my spa (hot tub) which, quite frankly, I thought was a goner. I had tried everything the "help" line at the manufacturer suggested (including spending plenty of $$ to buy parts from them). Bob diagnosed and fixed it in just under two hours. (see my earlier, more detailed, review) Fast forward to January 2019. My spa (the same one) stopped heating the water. I immediately called Bob. Bob gave me several "easy quick fix" instructions over the phone. None of these fixed the problem. Imagine if any of them had fixed the problem...Bob would have missed out on a service call bill! Any other spa technician would have immediately scheduled a service check, showed up, fixed the "easy" problem and charged an exorbitant price for doing so. Not Bob. Bob came to my house and fixed my problem which entailed multiple parts and visits. He worked in horrible conditions since it was cold and drizzling most of the time. He fit me in between storms. Bob is an amazing guy...nice, friendly, fair, honest, and I could go on-and-on. He literally is THE BEST. Don't hesitate to call him! All his five-star reviews are accurate. read more

Pacific Spa Service is the business but Bob is the MAN. I have been using Pacific Spa for years and this is not my first Yelp review for Bob. I called him again for a spa I bought used that just stopped working. I expected the worst but Bob is so knowledgeable and experienced that he had it back to working order in no time. I was worried that this repair would be expensive but Bob is more than reasonable. Having Bob over to fix your spa is like having a friend in the spa business. Thank you again Bob. read more

Bob was very knowledgeable and professional. Showed up on time and got the job done quickly. Would recommend to family and friends!

Cannot say enough positive things!! Responsive and so helpful!! Will use for all our hot tub repair needs!!

Such great service from Bob. Extremely knowledgeable about spas and chemicals, etc. and also wasn't shy of giving pointers or advice which is very appreciated. Came for a consultation/estimate and said its most likely the pump, but when he came back to repair the spa it was actually a smaller far less expensive piece and we saved a lot of money. Our spa is back up and running beautifully. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you Bob! -Nick & Frances W. read more

Bob is super knowledgeable and helpful. All the good things said about Bob in other reviews are totally accurate. Bob spent a lot of time thoroughly checking my spa and giving me the run down of maintaining it. I highly recommend Bob. read more

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Bob and Pacific Spa! I inherited an old beat up spa and had no clue what I was doing. I called Pacific Spa because I, like you, saw the great reviews on Yelp. He came by and fixed up the electrical and filter systems the very next day and it was working great. He only charged me for an hour of time (and his hourly rate is incredibly reasonable) though I know he spent longer than that. A few days later (remember, this is a very old spa that hadn't been used in years), I was having a problem with a jet and rather than charging me to come out again he explained over email how to fix it myself. THEN, when the heater stopped working, he again taught me how to fix it on my own when he could easily have charged me money to fix it. On top of all that he's given me advice on how to fix my clothes dryer! There's no way I'd call another spa repairman and I'll refer Bob in an instant. read more

Bob is outstanding. I contacted him several months ago when we first tried to use the hot tub at our new home and found it was leaking. We spoke over the phone and discussed some details, and I sent him a couple of pictures. He came out for an assessment and worked hard for nearly two hours. When he was done he gave us an estimate regarding the damage, and what his cost would be. If we decided to have him do the fix that's when he would charge us. His recommendation in our situation though was that we would likely be better off getting a new or refurbished hot tub. While that was hard to hear, I was shocked by his honesty and so impressed with his hard work and integrity. I recommend Bob without hesitation! read more

Honesty is a quality that I value so much. Trust is a key ingredient to customer service and Pacific Spa Service has them both. The owner Bob returned my call concerning a problem that I was having with my 12 year old Sundance Spa. He asked me a few questions and patiently tried to help me problem-solve the issues. We spent about. 20 minutes on the phone. We set an appointment time but he also guided me through a few actions to try to remedy the situation first. Well, his suggestions worked! I tried to send him a check for his time and he refused. He just asked me to call him back if I had anymore Spa problems. You bet I will and I will make sure all my friends know about him! read more

The reviews are what led me to call and I can honestly say Bob exceeded my expectations! Prompt friendly and very reasonably priced. I am an insurance adjusters and work with contractors on a regular basis. I can attest from experience that those traits are lacking in the contracting world these days. I have a 25 year old Hot Springs Grandee Spa. It hasn't been used in over two years and I wanted to bring it back to life. After an extensive cleaning, I could not get the spa to heat. I called Bob at Pacific Spa Service and he not only had the right relay switch on his truck to replace a bad one for the heater, but was able to diagnose and repair the spa in just a couple of hours. I'm sure he is the only guy in town so well versed in the mechanics and electronics of every type of spa made. I strongly recommend this highly skilled, and very friendly and decent person, for ANY spa repair you might need. read more

I agree with all other reviewers. Bob is hands down awesome! We have been his customers since the 90's and will continue to call on him until he retires. I was in need of a repair technician as my above ground hot tub quit heating..after searching on YELP and making a few phone calls, Bob returned my call and quickly arranged to come to my residence and make a diagnostic inspection. He discovered it was the main board and attempted to repair it on the spot. Unable to make the repair Bob promptly ordered a new board after searching diligently for the best price...Bob was great and communicative through the whole process, he is very knowledgeable and skilled and is great at customer service...to top it off I thought Bob was very reasonable with his pricing...I definitely recommend Bob with Pacific Spa Repairs for your spa needs... read more

I am so happy!! I called Pacific Spa after reading Yelp reviews. I am so glad I did. Bob did a free estimate, ordered the part I needed and worked around his full schedule and the crazy rains that we have been having. My spa is now running like new. We just purchased a house that came with an above ground spa, which had multiple issues. Bob figured out the issues, gave us an estimate, and had it done fixed no time. He also gave us safety tips and suggestions on how to maintain it, since this is my first spa it was very helpful. He is honest and trustworthy and prices are good. Highly recommend. read more

Bob is a professional. He listened to my concerns on the phone, to make sure that he thought he could help me and that I needed a visit. He was on time, efficient, thorough, reasonably priced and most importantly, IDENTIFIED what was wrong and came up with ways to address it. (This was not true of the staff of California Backyard.) I will absolutely have him come back out for any service my tub needs, and recommend him very highly. read more

I could go on and on about how happy I have been with the service BOB provides! He is so nice, so accommodating and is fast. I love using LOCAL services. He actually lives in my Arden area neighborhood! Not only has he helped me 3 times on my 10 year old above ground hot tub, but I have referred him to TWO of my friends who also used his services and were very pleased. (I usually do not refer people, because I feel bad if the service is not what I had). My two friends were more than happy. You will NOT regret calling Bob. read more

Can't say enough good things about Bob, his professional approach, and excellent quality of work. He was very responsive to my initial call, and was quite thorough in asking the right questions, and for pictures of my leaking spa components, before he arrived, so that he could be very efficient. Bob scheduled an appointment to come to my home, and called beforehand as he said he would, and was very prompt. Having him here at my house was fantastic - he had the parts needed on the spot, offered a very fair quote, and finished the work in a professional and expedient manner. Wouldn't hesitate to have him back out if we have any additional problems, and would recommend him to anyone. BTW - Yelp has the wrong address listed for him, the actual one is 2132 Cortez Lane, Sacramento, CA 95825. Highly recommended!! read more
