Let's Talk. My son has been patronizing Leslies for quite a while and when they had a sale on the pool pump he needed, he ordered it with free installation. Leslie called him and said that the pool pump was not a free installation and that was a mistake -- which is quite a lie as the pool pump itself has "free installation" listed under the part. This was later verified, although Leslie said it was a "marketing mistake" and after numerous calls to management and corporate, they finally agreed to do the installation. The installer refused, saying he didn't work for free (Leslie should be paying him in this case). After numerous additional calls to the store and manager the guy said he would come out, but the store now said there was a $40 "travel fee" for the installation. AGAIN, after numerous calls to the manager and corporate, they said the $40 was for gaskets and would have to be paid by my son. Ok - my son was willing to pay that. The installer gets there, tears it apart, and said that there was a stripped screw that would have him break the impeller to get it out and the cost now jumped to 370+ dollars. AGAIN, AGAIN, after numerous calls to the store and corporate, they got it down to parts which now totaled about $173 or so. My son didn't like this at all but agreed to pay it. Then the installer said that he needed a reverse-threaded screw that the store didn't carry. He told my son that he would have to order it and when it came back in, he would come back and install it. My son called the store and guess what? They had it in stock. My son told the installer and he said, "that it was too late and he had to come back later to do the work." The installer is a liar on top of being an arrogant SOB which tells you what my son thinks of Leslie Pool Supply right now. Now, he has to take time off on Monday/Tuesday to be there when the installer chooses to return and finish the installation. Rude and not helpful, all he cared about was how much merch he could sell me. If I told him I already had it and bought it somewhere else he would say that brand isn't any good and won't help. Very arrogant and not helpful I will drive further to avoid using them. read more

I have been a customer here for over 6 years, in spite of the horrible customer service. But things have changed drastically. The new manager, I think his name is Ryan, is excellent in every way. He knows his business better than any I have seen at any Leslies. I had trouble with my pool heater and had Leslie's determine the problem. The workman finished was able to determine the problem and fix the pool heater. read more

First time in the store and it was a good experience. They had the grids for my old filter, water analysis machine was up and running, they had all the chemicals I needed and gave me clear instructions on how to administer them. Staff was friendly and helped me load everything into the car. read more

We stopped in to buy an above ground pool pump, employee was not very knowledgeable about the product, I had to ask if we needed sand with it, couldn't answer any questions about what kind of warranty the pump had, was totally uninterested in making sure we got what we needed, I was not very happy with my experience, spent a lot of money and probably would have spent more, had the employee been a little more helpful and attentive. Got home and found out that we needed hoses, and clamps, probably could have gotten them when we bought the pump. I found the whole experience rather irritating. read more

They are honest and helpful, they examine our pool water and take the time to explain to us what we need to clean it and why we need it. As 1st time pool owners there attention to our needs and ability to explain the process is very much appreciated. read more

One of the worst customer service moments of my entire life. I dropped my pool cleaner off on Friday of Memorial Day weekend at 1:00 pm. The store had a few people in it so I waited for assistance. Upon customers exiting, the 3 employees then spoke with each other--1 appeared to be getting off her shift. I was then asked if I needed help. I asked about my cleaner & proceeded to get it from my vehicle. I bring it back inside & at this point the male worker leaves with the aforementioned employee. The other then takes my info & I ask her approximately how long it will take. She responds, "Well, I'm the only one here & I just sent him on an errand. Maybe tomorrow?" I understood as it was probably a busy weekend for them; however, what followed was ridiculous. I call Saturday evening to inquire. An associate (Mike, I think) said that it had been "super busy" & he hadn't got around to looking at it. I asked when he thought he might get around to it & asked if I could come pick it up in the morning, regardless of what happened. I was met with a haughty "yeah, but other places will be busy, too." I then said okay & to let me know when something developed. I did not call Sunday--no call to me either. I call Monday @ 10 in the morning. I was told, "We were super busy, but Mike said he'd get to it by the end of the day & we'll give you a call." I'll let you all guess what happened....yep my phone proved to not take any calls yet again. Tuesday I call at 11 in the morning. Wouldn't you know it, it was "super busy" all day Monday, too. I close the phone call out & say I'm coming to get the cleaner that afternoon. Fast forward to 5 in the evening...I walk in & one guy is browsing the pool float section, unassisted by the 2 employees. I ask a question about my chlorinator to the female employee. She defers to Kevin because she doesn't know anything about them. Kevin was super knowledgeable about it & assisted me in great detail. I then inquire about the cleaner & say I'll just take it with me. He then asks me if I have 30 minutes to spare & he will take a look at it. I reluctantly agreed, but wanted to actually receive the payoff of my waiting & utilizing a service the company promotes. Part of me wanted to get angry & scold the staff for putting me off, yet putting me in the fast lane when I requested my item back. Thankfully, the other part of me realized Kevin might be totally unaware of the timeline of my item & might be unaware of my phone calls & such. Kevin wrapped up the service quickly & addresses what he saw as the only issues that might be afflicting the cleaner. He took the unit out to my truck & casually carried on conversation. LET IT BE KNOWN: KEVIN IS THE ONLY REASON I MIGHT CONSIDER GOING BACK TO THIS LOCATION. He deserves a 5 star rating. The others deserve negative stars, but that's not an option. That is all. Is anyone working here? I placed an online order so I could just run in and pick it up. The doors were locked at 11:30 and no one will answer the phone. I've called several times over the past week and no one answers the phone. If you are closed for business, why are you allowing online orders for the Forney location???? read more

This Leslie's has gone completely down hill in the past year. Testing machine and computers are constantly not working. Today is Sunday and though the hours day open at 10:00. No one is at the store and it's 11:00. If I were an owner or franchisee I would be very concerned that customers have to constantly drive to Mesquite to have their pool needs met read more

This is one of the best Poole supplies stores I have every went to. Customer service is incredible. The store associate Erika Vanfleet was nice, courteous and extremely helpful. She helped me find everything I needed and even had me walking out with stuff I didn't Know I needed. All the equipment she suggested works great and I'm happy I purchased from her. Leslie in Forney has very friendly associates. We are always greeted with a smile and the pool folks are very attentive and take their time explaining what we need to keep our pool clean weekly. These days I really appreciate good customer service for sure. read more

Leslies is not inexpensive but at least they show up for service and keep appointment times. Local Forney service tech Brian was friendly, efficient, and knows his stuff. Before Leslie's, all we had in Forney for actual service was Dickson Brothers in Mesquite which was more expensive. If you catch supplies on sale and have Leslie's rewards, they are competitive. read more
