Have used them for years. The proprietor remembers you and is responsive. Prices seem fair.

If you need a pool expert go see Carl. He has been so helpful and wouldn't consider going anywhere else for our pool needs.

They built a travertine patio in the backyard, hardscaped side yards with pavers and rocks, added a mulch bed to my side yard, and rebuilt a retaining wall. The project manager (Amanda) and owner (Giancarlo) were both professional, helpful and available throughout the entire process. They were also able to accommodate additional projects at the last minute, including adding a French drain system to one of the side yards. Everyone involved was committed to making us 100% happy with the end product, whether that meant changing out chipped travertine tiles, recommending different design options, or making several trips to the worksite to plan out project details and ensure everything was 100% up to par. I would definitely recommend!

I'm sharing an update of my personal experience with dealing the owner of Century Oasis Pool & Spa…read moreof McKinney, Texas, Giancarlo. Instead of trying to fix a faulty landscaping job, Giancarlo Medrano, responded with homophobic and profanity laced texts detailing how he would confront me, has a gun and threatened to send "his people" over. He also proceeded to label the house that he worked on (a rental property that I manage) as "cheap" and then goes on to brag about his rental property. He seemed so extremely proud about his financed house. Anyway, I had blocked his phone number after the incident but could see more of his texts through my old Apple ID. In these texts, he went from playing Mister Tough Guy to the victim and claimed that I had been the one who harassed and threatened to kill him and claims to have made police and FBI reports. A complete 180 and a testament to his character. What a quality guy. If you run into any problems with his work, be prepared for a load of excuses and insults. Summary of communications via phone calls and texts: *Half year of receiving the run-around (ie. Too busy, out of town, admin forgot to get back to me, blamed others, etc.) to fix the flowerbeds and add the missing drain holes *After many months passed thinking that Giancarlo was working to schedule in a fix, he started blaming the situation on his cousin. He then suggested that I pay a small amount, to which I found agreeable, for the flowerbeds to be fixed. Now he claims that I wanted a free fix... go figure. *I warned Giancarlo about the consequences for not taking ownership of this situation. Gave plenty of opportunities to fix before posting a review that seemed to upset him. *Giancarlo continues to claim that I own the home despite me explaining over the phone that I wasn't the owner and that I just there to help manage the property. *Giancarlo threaten to sue me. I gave him my lawyer's contact and I have yet to receive any contact attempts. *Giancarlo claims that I would be contacted by the police and FBI. I have yet to receive any contact attempts. In conclusion, I can't say that I would recommend doing business with an egotistical owner who tries to gip you at every corner, changes stories and takes no responsibility. But, don't take my word for it. Dig in the yelp reviews to see hidden reviews from others.

I collected pool update bids from several companies and chose Petri based on their customer…read moreratings, competitive pricing, ability to start the project fairly quickly and the professionalism of Mike Rakes who did the estimate. Before Petri started the project Brennan, assigned as my project manager, stopped by to meet me and check out the pool. Like Mike, a professional guy with solid, knowledgeable answers to my questions. Project-wise we missed a few days due to rain/thunderstorms but things generally ran to plan and Brennan routinely kept me informed of progress, next steps, timing, issues, etc. A really professional guy and an outstanding service provider/project manager. The one "surprise" was a leak caused by a repair company's attempt at a fix ten years prior. It didn't show up on a pressure test and as it turned out I couldn't have reasonably expected Petri's plumbers to detect it. Long story short the prior company had clearly done a shoddy repair job which led to a faulty pressure test reading. The resulting leak became obvious after I'd paid Petri's second invoice and all concerned were confident all leaks had been detected, fixed, and paid for. Imo it's now obvious that the old botched repair job caused most of my pool issues since 2012. Brennan ensured the leak was repaired quickly and, given the circumstances, at a fair, reasonable price. Imo Petri, while not at fault, proactively and professionally managed this issue to quick resolution. The project wrapped up today and our pool looks great, we're very happy with the project and would gladly recommend Petri to anyone in the market for a pool update. These guys are professionals. Ray

Looks like the bond was either not applied correctly, didn't get time to dry before the next layer was added or just poorly applied. I am not a pool professional, but I can now see the layers on the chunks of plaster off the bottom of my pool. I was unimpressed after about 6 months after the work was first completed. Trying to get a response after money was paid was impossible. May be good for pool cleaning, but I would NEVER invest in having them do another major pool job.

We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.
