Dear Park Leslie's I highly recommend, they greet you as soon as you walk in and are personable and very helpful. Deer park is more welcoming and explains everything well. If service with a smile matters and service above and beyond try Deer Park. Store is always immaculate and they are very knowledgeable. Farmingdale the younger gentleman was polite and kind, and will say hello otherwise no greeting or hello or reply or even response to how are you, may be had a rough day but If you ask a direct question that younger doesn't know the other one that's more knowledgeable will give the sales person the information. If you can get past the lack of service from the girls upfront (Krystal in particular ) you will find yourself waiting for them to finish their conversations before an attempt is made at eye contact. .dont expect a hello , good bye or a thank you , that's extra and not happening. The staff here has always been knowledgable and have never tried to sell us unnecessary items. Both the Lindenhurst and Seaford locations I can speak about. The prices are ok, obviously you can find items cheaper online. Brought a pool pump with a broken impeller and they said they could fix it. After adding up the parts that would be needed it would be half the cost of a new pump. Why rebuild the impeller at half the cost of a new unit. If the pump wasn't 8 years old I wouldn't hesitate to have them repair it. The good thing about Leslie's is that the they will perform the repair for free if you get the parts from them. It's obvious the free labor is in the price of the parts as they're 50% - 75% higher than what can be located on the internet. These guys have more overhead and obviously a need for staff so it's understandable the prices are what they are. I only wish they used computerized pool water tests, I think they're more accurate over the chemical drops test that need to be color matched by eye. Again never had them upsell me on anything and the staff is not annoying and asking every 5 minutes if you need assistance when walking through the store. Marissa made my latest purchase remind me of the very top quality service and support that I would expect from Leslie's! Without getting into detail I'll just say that she went way over and above what I would expect to be her normal support and sales duties! REVIEW UPDATE 10/09: upgraded based on issue resolution. Key takeaway - contact the regional manager to discuss a solution to any problems. Kate listened to my explanation the next day and offered a satisfactory resolution. Today the job was completed. I may upgrade the review again next year after the pool is open again. I'm glad the company worked to fix the problem. I recommended that the company representatives ask the customer details bout the installation if they're working on the pool for the first time and keep detailed notes bout the installation in order to complete customized service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is related to the pool service provided by this company. I had a poor experience with the company on 10/2 and want to warn others to be cautious about using this company for pool service. The first problem I had was with the scheduling. They opened my pool in June and soon after that was done I called to setup the close appointment. When I called in September to check on the appointment they had no record of my appointment so they lost that reservation. They setup a new date then called me back and changed it to an earlier date which was great. My point with this info is that I spoke with the representatives multiple times about this job. The company closed my pool last year for the first time. The second point of concern is the seeming lack of training of the staff answering the service number or it could be a poor record system. Although pleasant the lack of background to help the customer is obvious. Even though the company has installed my filter, opened my pool at least twice and closed my pool at least twice they still don't realize I have an above ground pool. Even if the record system is inadequate the staff should be finding out info from the customer to understand the job requirements. They seem to be uninformed and unaware of what to do to get the information. Lastly today the technicians refused to close the pool. A half hour before the arrived I received the call ahead. The technician asked me if I had everything I needed to close the pool. First of all what a poor time to ask that question. I said Yes I have everything. he then asked if I had skimmer cover. I said no, and I didn't need one last year. he said they would not close the pool without skimmer cover. There is no reason why they would have closed the pool last year without it and would not do it this year. If that piece of equipment is so important I should have needed it last year or they should have told me I needed it when I made the appointment. The technician said he would buy the item. I called the main service number and they said I did not need the skimmer cover. Back and forth we went. For all the confusion they would not even comp me the skimmer cover. The technician left without completing the work. Do not use this company for opening and closing your pool without an extensive conversation with the person making the appointment. They're very disorganized and provide contradictory info but if you contact the regional manager in the event of a problem they'll help you find an answer. read more

It took 6 weeks, 3 pool companies and thousands of dollars in pool chemicals and services to get my swamp green pool to Caribbean blue. I had enough and decided to give Leslie's Pool Supply in Lindenhurst a try. I explained my dilemma to a new sales associate and he immediately asked his manager Marissa for assistance. She was very calm and patient with me and made my problem seem like it was no big deal and not a challenge for her to tackle. After testing the water 5 min later she sends me out with a bag and bottle of chemicals and a receipt that was under $25 dollars. After following her instructions 48 hours later my pool looked like the blue Caribbean Sea and my filter is working more efficiently. Thank you Marissa you are simply the BEST! read more
