Had a wonderful experience at Optomeyes today. I went in to renew a prescription for contact lenses and also had a retinal exam. Dr. Miller was friendly and was very thorough in answering all of my questions. He really took time to look into issues I had with other lenses I hadn't realized were affected by my activities and medications. I have had exactly two eye doctors that I really liked in my lifetime. I've been wearing glasses/contacts since I was 5, so 38 years, and I mostly dread going for exams. For me, personality and professionalism go a long way when it comes to any doctor. Knowledge and skill are important of course, but that alone isn't enough to keep me coming back. I find that Optomeyes' staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Dr. Miller is so kind and also puts up with my terrible jokes. I have been quarantining in Colorado due to COVID and had to go back home to California for a few days so I made sure to schedule an eye appointment during that time. I was afraid that I was starting to have night vision issues due to halos from headlights but Dr. Miller assured me that my prescription hadn't changed and it was just dryness due to a different climate. This is why it is so important to find a doctor and stick with them since they know your medical history. Anyway, I'd also like to give Gabby a shoutout for being so amazingly helpful after my contacts order was lost in the mail. I normally pick up in the office but since I'm currently 1,000 miles away, that wasn't an option. She has been so patient and has had such excellent communication. She has definitely gone above and beyond to ensure that I have replacements and I cannot say enough good things about the level of service that I have experienced. read more

Dr. Miller refuses service to me for asking questions about his arbitration contract he requires of all patients, and was pretty disrespectful in the process. He couldn't even answer basic questions about the forum patients would be submitting to-- a red flag that my attorney husband said is extremely irresponsible of him. Dr. Miller said no one has ever had questions about his arbitration contract, which is crazy!!! I can't believe every patient swiftly signs a complex legal document abdicating their rights without a single question. I won't be bullied into giving up my rights without ascertaining basic facts, and there are plenty of other optometrists in the area who respect that. Don't bother, waste of time, completely unprofessional - changed my prescription to a higher need (2.50 to 3.00) despite my eyes remaining the same for five years and absolutely no need - also changed me from monthly contacts to daily contacts, didn't explain dollars out the door given my insurance, waste of money ($400-600 more per year) and terrible dry eye - and then proceeded to try to upsell me to some other fancy test for cornea damage (probably another $50-100+ out the door, not covered by insurance) - also did not explain that prescriptions are specific to manufacturers at time of evaluation so I'm stuck with this guy - do not recommend, highly suggest finding someone else, honestly worst experience I've had with a doctor, cannot stress this enough read more

My wife and I have been to Les a couple times so far and I see it's time for me to return for another check up. As we age (unfortunately), our eyes change too. I had Lasik quite a few years ago and it's no longer as sharp as it once was. Les recently made me some computer glasses as a stop gap to help me see the monitor without squinting. What a difference they made! But, I had gotten used to being without glasses, so I'm going to talk to him about getting a Lasik touch up, if possible. He also has a nifty machine which quickly photographs the inside of your eyes in great detail, just by having you look into the lens of the machine for a couple seconds. Very inexpensive, and there is a permanent record on the computer. So I'm going do it at each visit so he can keep a tally of any potential changes, like high blood pressure and other issues which can affect eyesight. If you want to see more, see Les! read more

As a late in life wearer of prescription eyeglasses (sucks getting old), along with some less than stellar experiences at a few different Lenscrafters over the years, I finally found Dr. Miller. I won't lie. . .I have spend quite a few bucks there. But the doctor (along with his staff) are extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and a joy to work with. Try as I may, progressives are just not for me. Just went back this weekend (ironically 6 months to the day of when they were purchased) and he is going to change them into bi-focals. . no charge. He has no problem using my old frames and checking prescriptions on them to see what needs to be adjusted. In a week I am going to have a total of 6 pairs of glasses (cannot EVER be without them anymore, if I want to see that is), for both reading, computer, distance, and various combinations in between.
