The side effects will last my entire life, although once I relapse, the disease caused by potent antibiotic will kill me. Office manager, I don't want to receive another call from you asking me to remove my post, understand??? It is called freedom of speech. Also, $80 refund is not going to cover months of pain and suffering and medical expenses. The office manager tells me, well, you are in remission. So what, the disease can come back next time I take antibiotics, I will either have to suffer for months again or it will kill me. I posted negative comments couple of months ago, the office manager calls me at 8:30 a.m. next day asking me to remove it which I did.

Doctors: Staff: I have been coming here for almost 10…read moreyears because the ophthalmologists are stellar. But have always had frustrating experiences with the front office staff, one of the surgery coordinators, and the office manager when I asked to change surgery coordinators... Even their techs vary in quality. When I am told to come back in a year, front office tells me their system can't schedule that far in advance, so I have to remember myself to call them no sooner than 6 months prior to the appointment. Dr. Severin used to have quite a wait by the time I would call. Not only this, but they let stuff slip through the cracks (they kept telling me they had added me to the notification by text system but appointment after appointment, I never received text notifications. It took several years to get this straightened out). And they are rude! You can approach the front desk for your appointment and the lady seated there will continue to look down without acknowledging you. I stood there for several minutes once without her even saying so much as "I'll be with you in a second." There's a sense you're bothering them. One time I arrived for a simple testing appointment four minutes late. I accept full responsibility and was not surprised that I then had to wait. A half hour later, I asked about being seen, and one of the techs told me that I was a little late and they have 20 minutes test testing intervals. She said she would come back and inform me about the timing. She never came back and I was finally called in 1.5 hours after my scheduled appointment (granted, 1 hour and 26 minutes after I arrived). I figured this was Faer, until each test I took only lasted about 5 minutes. I was out out of there 10 minutes after being called in. So these rigid 20 minute testing blocks they have seem arbitrary and punitive. When I had my eye surgery, the surgery coordinator, Tonya, scheduled me with the wrong surgeon, forgot to mail me some of the papers, gave me incorrect instructions for the preparatory eyedrops, was not around during office hours... I asked the office manager to quietly switch me to the other coordinator, but she didn't want to make waves with Tonya and told me the other one "makes mistakes too." After my first eye surgery, the tech removed my bandage and cleaned my eye out. this was a welcome relief, as I was kind of afraid to touch it, and it was all crusty. After my second, a different tech removed my bandage and was leaving the room. This one wasn't going to clean it, but fortunately I knew to ask. Just inconsistent. One tech had to google what a "retinal tear" was when taking my history. It's not a specialty here, so I guess that's ok, but I just don't know what to expect anymore? And I hate that such wonderful surgeons have to suffer (at least in their reviews) from such poor administrative execution.

Lucia was helpful in getting the Rx faxed over to my pharmacy in a timely manner. Sometimes eye meds aren't covered by insurance or that particular pharmacy. So I needed to check another pharmacy who had a manufacturer's coupon. The receptionist and schedulers were racist and very rude. They were full of attitudes and not helpful at all. There were always at least 3-4 staff sitting at the front desk/schedule desk but they never pick up the phone! Try calling them if you don't believe me. Last year, an elderly receptionist bluntly lied and told me Dr. Severin was not in the office and they assigned me another doctor without any notification/heads-up. While sitting in the waiting room I heard Dr. Severin's voice and asked the assistant about it. She told me yes, that was him. I was very upset to be told lies!! The assistant was very nice and apologized. I told her I needed to know the reason why I was told a lie. Very unprofessional! She said an office manager wasn't there and asked me if I wanted a follow-up. I said yes and NOBODY ever called back!! Obviously they didn't give a shit of my concern! My last visit this week, after finishing up seeing Dr. Severin one of the girls (short hair, young) rolled her eyes when I asked "when is the latest time to schedule a follow up appointment?" She looked so annoyed and unbothered with my very simple question. That kind of attitude was not tolerable! I didn't see her treated Caucasian patients like that. Well, now that Dr. Severin is retiring then this office has no value for me to continue my eye care. I will find another glaucoma specialist who has decent, helpful and friendly staff. They ordered my glasses will call me when hey arrive. Okay, so that's great news, but here's where the customer service comes in. They wanted to keep my glasses so they can efficiently replace the lenses when the frames come in. Well that means I'd have to drive home with blurry vision. No bueno. So, what did they do?
