I consulted Dr. Gagnon Michael for cataract surgery in November 2024. Dr. Gagnon Michael is friendly and patient during consultation. He even asked staff to remeasure some numbers to ensure data quality due to systems incompatibility issues. We converged to LAL (Light adjustable Lens) after going over a few lens options. After evaluating my data, he recommended other doctors who already implanted LALs with more experiences as he will be adopting LAL early 2025. I was referred to Dr. Gagnon about 6 months ago for cataract surgery and an ocular implant (to correct my near-sightedness) by my Opthamologist Having just completed the procedure on my Left and Right Eye, the outcome could not have been better. Words cannot express how pleased I am with the results of my cataract surgery. When my regular ophthalmologist said she was going to refer me to a cornea specialist, I got nervous. I did not schedule an appointment immediately, but talked to a few folks who had undergone the procedure first. While waiting for my 94 year old dad to get his flu shot at the local CVS, I passed the time as usual, looking at and trying on reading glasses. A nice couple waiting in line heard me complaining to my dad about how many different readers I had around the house - why do I keep buying them? Turns out, the couple had both just had cataract surgery and were very happy with the outcome. They spent time answering my questions and they made me feel at ease about scheduling the first appointment. I am a week post-op today and am on a cancellation list to have the right eye done asap. I went for Cataract surgery for both of my eyes in Nov. and Dec  2019. I don't  need glasses anymore for reading, computer, checking text on cell phone or for watching TV, cooking and Driving. Dr Gagnon fixed one eye for reading and other for farsight. I will highly recommend him. He does not leave room until he has answered all your questions and concerns. He knows what he is doing. I'm so glad I found Dr. Gagnon! I had cataract surgery in both eyes one week apart and I'm thrilled with the results. Dr. Gagnon is an excellent surgeon and his team is professional and caring. Everything about the experience was quick and painless. His staff took care of the insurance authorization, clearly explained the procedure, the follow up, and after care. I wanted to eliminate the need for glasses or contacts, so I decided on PanOptic trifocal lenses. I understand that the recovery is different for everyone, but I was amazed by the results. The morning after the surgery, I could see distance, mid-range, and up close. After 45 years of wearing glasses, I'm free. I no longer need glasses or contacts. The surgery itself was only 10 or 15 minutes, and again, everything was quick and painless. I went into the surgery room at 7:45, at 8:30 I was on my way home, and at 10:00 I was able to attend a work meeting (from home). Have worn glasses and contacts for almost 50 years. I'm both astigmatic and VERY near sighted. Was told I was not a candidate for Lasik as I am too near sighted. When I was diagnosed with a Cataract I was referred to Dr. Gagnon. After a couple of visits and being measured by Lori I was scheduled for surgery on my eyes (1 week apart). After counseling from Dr. Gagnon and Lori, I chose a multifocal Symphony IOL for each eye. They are both thorough and patient. Just finished the second surgery this week and all I can say is WOW and thank you. I'm blown away at how well I can see. No glasses or contacts for me!
