We had them come several times for various things such as hooking up the washer and installing a sink and line to our fridge. They also had a come and check out our heating and even though they were very busy, they made accommodations. I have read the bad reviews here, and I have not found any of that behavior exhibited in dealing with them... So I would highly recommend them. Plumbers are the most in demand vendors when you have a house and people need to understand that they can't be in 50 places at once. That being said, whether dealing with them on the phone or dealing with the people that they send out... Their service is A-1! read more

We had our furnace replaced recently and they were great to work with. Alex and his colleague were professional and thorough. Even though there were a few hiccups they were responsive and finished the job in a timely manner. The system is only a few days old so fingers crossed everything stays running smoothly over the winter. Leprevost is our go to for plumbing and heating needs because of their responsiveness and always professional crew. read more

The best heating and plumbing company I've ever used. Extremely responsive and super high-quality work. Every aspect of the job from requesting the bid to the final billing and payment was easy. All of the employees I got to interact with were extremely nice, helpful, and professional. I would highly recommend this company. read more

From the day I inspected my new house to today (three years later), LeProvost has been responsive, clear and efficient. Shout out specifically to Julie on the bridge manning the customer reach-outs and Zack on the front lines (joined today by Ticia who was also great). Great communication on all fronts. They do their job and stand by their work. Can't ask for more. read more

Our mini split AC system died so we contacted LePrevost to diagnose the problem. Milt, our technician for many years diagnosed the problem as failed circuit boards. Due to the age of the system and the cost of repair we decided to replace with a Bosch heat pump that would provide heat as well as AC. After obtaining multiple quotes Leprevost was clearly the most competitive. A crew of two arrived and completed the removal and installation in one day. Could not be more pleased with the quality of their work and the end result. After 8 years servicing our plumbing and HVAC needs, Leprevost continues to demonstrate their committment to quality and service. read more

We have had LePrevost come to the house on many occasions: shut down and open up the house, install a new sink and faucet, install a new hot water tank, etc. I have always been very impressed by their customer service and work. Arranging the appointments was easy, responsive, pleasant, and professional. The administrative staff and workers communicate promptly. They arrived when they said they would, and sometimes even early. The plumbers were skillful and cleaned up after they were done. Because they seem to have an extensive team of workers, we didn't have to wait long to get an appointment. Without any reservation, I would highly recommend calling them for your plumbing needs. Soup-to-nuts, they are wonderful. read more

This company responded to my complaint, but I now see it was just for appearances. I sent a message to see if they could make it right, but it's been a month now and I've never heard from anyone again. read more

This company has come through for me twice, both emergency or almost emergency situations. When I moved to the area, in October, 2019, my boiler died. It was cold. LePrevost answered my call, sent a heating technician, and : heat restored. Just recently, I had an AC problem. The system is installed already, but it does not work. I needed an ac technician for a repair. This is not an easy find. Again, LePrevost took the call, scheduled an appointment and sent a qualified technician on time. Sean found the problem and fixed it. In this sweltering heat, I finally have air conditioning. LePrevost gets my gratitude and my business. read more

Horrible customer service, I definitely would not recommend them. We had an emergency issue and are looking for immediate help. They only help previous customers, so I guess new business isn't acceptable. None of this information is on their website. They say 24-hour service but that's just false advertising. John was rude and completely unwilling to help out and gain a new customer for life. read more

A number of LePrevost plumbers have been to my house and with mixed experience. Milt was very, very good. But *******, won't write his name, purposely took advantage and insisted he do additional work, so by the time he left the bill was four times as much as I expected. Even two other plumbers got very quiet when I pointed out what he did, saying I didn't think it was necessary. But over the past couple of years, their rates have skyrocketed (whopping $118/hr) and they charge full rate for "travel time." So if the plumber's previous job is in Great Barrington, you are charged 2 hours at full rate for travel. I think some homeowners who don't check the bill may not realize they're paying this addendum. Sorry, I don't buy it. read more

Called their service at 4am on a Sunday morning. Was promised a call at 7am. Got the call at 6:50am. Plumber was here exceptionally quickly. He was incredibly thorough, found the right valve in crawl space to stop the leak. Was informative, polite and totally professional. I've been a customer of Le Prevost since we purchased our home. They are the BEST !!! read more

The staff are very friendly but the owner is horrendously rude and unprofessional. In addition, they sold us the wrong size mini split condenser system and admitted their error several months later when they came back to finish phase 2 of the job and realized they could not do so based on what they did in phase 1. The owner admitted they "screwed up" and that we have to "pay more now to finish the job." He agreed to come over and review all the work and then to split the difference. I could live with this. Instead, he showed up and insulted both me and my husband and tossed around several derogatory remarks. My husband refused to let him leave until he apologized. He did and (shockingly) we never heard from him again. We ended up hiring another company to finish the job. Horrible experience all because the owner has a Napoleon complex. Its a shame because the rest of the staff are very nice. read more

We just bought a house in the country. Needed a good consultation. Roger came out and was incredible! So thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuine. I was very impressed. This man clearly loves his job and knows his stuff. He was very responsive and got the job done in the time frame discussed. Top shelf company! read more

Ill called Leprovost today about a potential hybrid water heater installation for my home. I was met with rudeness and treated like someone who had no business calling. Verbatim I was told that I would need to "buy a water heater before anyone would give me any information about what I was buying" and that they "don't have time to waste". By far the rudest experience I've had with a service company. It inspired me to write this review to warn future potential callers. read more

LePrevost always comes through efficiently and with great service, they have never, ever failed us. But last night, in 10 below weather, Roger Bailey outdid himself. He got our heating system back on track and did it with good humor and great care. Thank you lePrevost and Roger! read more

We were very, very happy with Le Prevost's service. We just moved to the area, are new home owners (we lived here previously, so we knew about LePrevost but never worked with them), so needed to get established with a good HVAC company. And we have done that! We couldn't be happier. Chris, our technician, was fantastic in every way. Le Prevost, keep the guy!! Bob Voss read more

Professional Plumbing . This company sets the standard for contractors in the Berkshires and beyond . While it is admittedly not hard to be above average in the field , LePrevost is the best . They answer the phone when you call , they know who you are , provide the services they promise and then send the itemized bill . I can't say they're much more expensive than other plumbers ( less than $100 / hour ) and their emergency weekend rate is time and a half . The company operates like respectable businesses operate in other industries . Hopefully , other contractors will follow their lead and improve service for everyone . read more

Only great things to say . Eric and Tim, Jr in the heating division solved ongoing problems that two other HVAC companies could not solve. I I was at my wits end. I inquired about a job had Ken come out to meet. All good from there. However he mentioned to me that I would have the quote by the end of the week for the job. 2 weeks had passed and I heard nothing from him. I called the secretary and asked if Ken had a chance to write up the quote. Secretary said she would pass it along and have Ken give you a call. 1 week later I called again asked where's my quote? Once again the secretary said I'll pass it along to Ken and have him give you a call. Very irritated I went to the office and asked where is my quote, at that point 3 weeks have gone by and I haven't heard back from Ken or the secretary woman. I saw her and she then again said I will have Ken give you a call. I called a few times after that then I just gave up. What sort of business doesn't at least return a call and say we don't have time or are not interested in doing the job? read more

Whle this is one of the larger plumbing companies in South County, I haven't had great experiences with them. Every time they have fixed something, they leave some other problem behind. They are quite expensive and have over-charged me more than once. We own a gas fireplace insert that has not worked correctly since it was originally installed three years ago. After several attempts to have the original vendor/installer fix the unit, we finally called LePrevost. We should have done that in the first place. The service manager at LePrevost did his best to get a technician to our home as quickly as possible. When the technician arrived the day after our phone call (and remember this was NOT an emergency) he was prompt, courteous, and thorough. He corrected one of what turned out to be two serious issues with the insert. When the unit continued to function improperly (due to a second issue that had been masked by the first), we contacted LePrevost the next day and once again a technician was dispatched promptly and courteously. With the first issue now resolved, the technician was able to diagnose and correct the second major issue, which was tied directly to a flawed original installation. Our unit now works perfectly - for the first time since we purchased it three years ago. LePrevost installed our home heating system more than seven years ago and it has worked flawlessly since then. We should have returned to LePrevost when we bought our fireplace insert. Now we know. Great work! read more
