Dinner. Then breakfast and dinner again. Staff and servers affable and helpful, except the last night I got the feeling our waitress wasn't as friendly with ppl who weren't local. Still, she did her job, though it would have been nice if she brought me a utensil for my pie, instead of me having to ask for it. Still, we tipped more than 20% because serving people in restaurants is a tough job. Especially these days. Both servers on Friday night and Saturday breakfast were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The young man at the register was super friendly and nice. Wish there was a restaurant like this close to our home!

Their lemon rice soup was insanely good. Thick, rich, creamy. The server Kate was a doll; the soup is her mother's fave AND her own recipe! It's a must! My eyes were waaaay bigger than my stomach and I had no idea dessert was included. V/Ch/Str ice cream, chocolate pudding or rice pudding. The chocolate ice cream was the perfect ending. Gr8 dinner. They have a huge menu with lots of favorites.

The whole atmosphere inside is wonderful, and I always enjoy visiting the little store they have. It's always filled with nostalgic candy of all sorts and gifts for everyone. The bathroom was clean, you can tell they keep up with it. I was really impressed with the manager who was checking in with each table to make sure everything was perfect. I will definitely explore the lunch and dinner Menu upon returning.

We drove along the water the entire way, stopping at the blue water bridge to take in the glory of the St. Clair River joining the Lake Huron. Afterwards we headed to CrackerBarrel for some down home cooking. The inside and outside were kept very clean. We were seated right away. Everyone that worked there was so knowledgeable and kind. The food was served at the right temperature and served in a timely manner. Mom had the special of the day which was the friend chicken dinner. I had the country fried steak. I rarely drink pop anymore but I was so thirsty that I ordered a coke...bummer, after I ordered my coke I saw they have wine on the menu! Yeah, I'll keep that in mind for next time. I could live on their biscuits and gravy! I also LOVE the corn muffins. Actually, I love it all. This is one well-run, clean, top-notch Cracker Barrel!

This is my third visit, and although my eggs last time were overcooked, (could of been the way I ordered) I've never had a bad breakfast here yet. This time, I wasn't as hungry, so I just had oatmeal with raisins and walnuts. Their coffee is a regular Joe, and they also have an old-school cappuccino machine. When you walk in there is a very comfortable ambiance with very nice decor, updated woodwork, light fixtures and historic pictures/ photos of Port Huron or nautical views. There are many large spacious booths (6 smaller adults could easily fit) and tables as well, which look new but classic diner touches with silver molding/ trim. The staff were very friendly, hospitable and personable giving honest feedback for our choices as 1st time patrons. The coffee was delicious and the mugs had a good feel in the hand. I enjoyed the Country Fried Steak and my over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and delicious on their sourdough toast. Hash browns were buttery and had nice crisp to them. My friend had the Country Benedict and also enjoyed her meal very much. While the country gravy had ample bits of sausage and was plentifully served, it was a tad too thick for me personally; though our server said it was one of their best dishes. There was parking in the street in front the morning we went, not sure of additional parking options. The entrance is on the corner with 2 doors to get in, the door we used had a small step up and I believe the 2nd door may be more accessible for people with mobility challenges. Inside was spacious and his/ hers 1 seater restrooms that could accommodate mobility equipment (wheelchairs or walkers). Pricing was 2/4 $$, and appropriate for the high quality homemade meals you'll enjoy. We were even able to get coffee to go and enjoyed during our drive home to Dearborn! I highly recommend Maria's for a great experience and will definitely be back!
