Good food. Great service. Casual diner ambiance. Overall, a family friendly place that serves good food and seems to always have an open table right when we walked in the door, on more than one occasion. Our server was friendly and quick with approach and delivery of our beverages. She provided quick answers to my questions, efficiently took our orders, and delivered our meals accurately and in a timely manner. Coffees were refilled regularly, plates cleared within a reasonable period of time as well. The overall consensus regarding the gravy that came with the B&G was that it was from a can. Regardless, it was pretty good. I was wishing they had Mimosas -that got a laugh from my fellow dining companions. So I guess I'll stick with a cup o' coffee. Raisin bread TOAST! Gosh I love that about Michigan. So many places offer simply white, wheat, or rye. On a good day you might be offered an EM. But Raisin Bread - I LOVE IT! Prices reasonable too. Bonus. Next time in the area for a dog show, there's no doubt we will be back. read more

Extremely reasonably priced American food in this small town USA restaurant. We all tried the AYCE fish and chips because we were starving. It comes with coleslaw for only $10 every day! The fish filets are thin and freshly fried in a light batter. The fries were also very good. You start off with 4 pieces and our refill came quickly. We dropped in on them for lunch yesterday with a group of 40 hungry teenagers and a handful of adults. Aside from a few expected waits on some of the orders, the staff there did a really good job taking care of us and getting things to us. . I heard many good comments about the food from members of the group. It will be a definite return trip when we make our way back up here. read more

the 1st time i went there, the experience was great. the next 2 times going there was not so great. went to close to closing time on a sunday, half hour before closing. the staff wasn't to friendly. both times we left without being served. thought i would give them another chance. today called in for a take out at 12:30, 2 and half hours before closing. i will nevery try this restaurant again, in wadhams. the staff had enough nerver to tell me they are really busy, can i call back later. i hope the owner reads this and puts his foot down. he is losing money. read more

I really enjoyed this place!! Had the veggie omelette and it was yummy and the perfect size. Didn't care for the hash browns but I didn't need them. A long time stop for my family, and so much more comfortable in its newer location (which it's been in for several years now, but if you feel up in the area, you may remember it on the corner of Wadhams and Lapeer where you could barely breathe with all the smoke). I love the southern omelette, the tacos, the burgers and even the veal cutlets on occasion. I go in with my parents so I get good service because everyone knows them. Curious if that would be different on my own as has been the case with other mom and pop restaurants in Port Huron and Wadhams. Lately, they have been on and off closed or restricted with COVID so it's been over a year since I have been in. Looking forward to lifted restrictions so I know I can get a seat. I think they still do all you can eat fish and chips which was enjoyable before so figure they are still. If you like family style non chain restaurants, this is one of the best in the area. Know that most people that go have done so for years so be respectful and civil and you will enjoy yourself. read more
