The lasagna was cooked to perfection, the calzone was huge, and the bread was so soft and flavorful. It was ready pretty quick, within 25 minutes of ordering. The staff was friendly and the establishment has an old world Italian feel to it. If you're looking for an Italian dinner, this place is a gem.

Like I told our server & the chef, I've been wanting to come here ever since they've been open with…read moremy friend for lunch, but they don't open until 4pm on weekdays. I FINALLY had the opportunity to take my friend who came to visit me for lunch on a Saturday, since they open at noon on Saturdays. VERY happy I got to try this place. They have such a nice menu, different items you don't see too often as well as some of your typical bar style food BUT with a twist. What we both like is everything on their menu is prepared fresh, made to order, which a lot of places these days don't really do (even tho they say they do). I got their seafood bowl with shrimp on a bed of wild rice, with pickled onions (I put the cucumbers & avocado on the side because I don't eat them, which my friend ended up eating & she said was really tasty) & I thought it was flavorful & delicious. My friend got their Caesar salad with grilled chicken, she said it was fabulous. And she got one of their burgers to go, for her husband, which came with hand cut fries (yes, we tried some & they were delish!). And both our meals were beautifully presented too. Our server was pleasant as was the chef who came out to socialize with us. Unfortunately, they weren't busy, which is sad, because this place really is a little hidden gem in the small town of Marysville. They don't have a roadside sign or anything on their building front that's viewable from Gratiot, which was one of the things I mentioned to the chef & he told me they're working on getting one. Good to hear, because I'm sure that would bring a LOT more business in. The only reason I even knew about it was mentions on social media, otherwise, I'd never know it existed, which really is a shame because they have such a nice menu. Didn't have any beer or cocktails, because I'm not a beer drinker & my friend isn't a cocktail gal. I'm really looking forward to going back, especially now that that awful Gratiot construction is DONE, which I'm sure had a negative impact on a lot of those businesses on that stretch of Gratiot.

One other couple arrived shortly after we did. The waitress was nice and friendly, I have no complaints there. But after we ordered it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. I've no idea why it took so long to make our food, I don't see how the kitchen could have been backed up when there was a total of 2 tables of 2 in the restaurant. Our food did finally arrive and it was ok. Not great, but not inedible. That's really the best thing I can say about it. Shortly after we started eating they turned on music and it was LOUD and what I would term "eclectic". Sorry, but I really wasn't enjoying TIna Turner belting out "Rolling on the River" while eating my lunch. I wish I would have liked this place better, it's not far from home and would have been a nice place to go out to eat occasionally, but sorry, I will not be back.
