We've been in town a handful of times, and have been told that WTSP has great food, but to be…read morehonest, it's hard to read from the exterior. Sure, it looks welcoming and friendly enough, but there is no way of knowing just how OUTRAGEOUSLY good the flipping food is. After one visit, WTSP is immediately on our favorite places list, and we cannot wait to come back. The burgers are out of control good, regardless if you get the smash patty or the more traditional hand patty. The bread is homemade in the best way possible, and the attention to details - the absolutely perfect fries as example - shine through. This food is made by a kitchen that cares. And same for the pizza. I was nervous because I saw everyone ordering REALLY delicious looking Detroit style pizza, but we went with a round, hand tossed, pepperoni number. And man alive, I am glad we did. It was up there with some of the best pizza I've had in Michigan, which if you know Michigan, is saying a LOT. Long story short, this place rules. Yes, it's a little rough around the edges, but do yourself a favor and pop in for a local beer and a burger, and take home a pizza to have for dinner the next day. You'll thank me for it.

One of the things I appreciate most is that it really hasn't changed much over the years, and neither has the quality of the food. The pizza and garlic cheese bread are the best around, and the pizza sauce is especially fantastic! I swear, if they bottled that sauce and put it on the shelves at Kroger, it would be constantly sold out! Whenever I'm back in town, I always make it a point to stop in, and I leave every time full and with a smile on my face. If you're looking for great pizza, there's really no need to look any further!

It reminded me of Olgas bread and I loved it. I really liked the pickle pizza, but think I enjoyed the pepperoni even more. The sauce was sweet and spicy and the pepperoni was crispy.

Just the other night I had the Turkey-Bacon-Avocado sandwich and it was aces! I've also enjoyed a number of their pizzas, the most recent being the Con Carné. I kind of miss the Cuban sandwich they used to serve. Here's to hoping it makes a comeback! Also of note, they have a lovely, brick-paved, outside dining area with several tables with umbrellas. Nice place on a summer afternoon/evening. I'll add finally that they are dog friendly and I really appreciated how sweet the servers were with my pup, Molly. I'll be back! A lot!

I love the cozy lodge atmosphere: it's pretty spacious inside, clean, and not too noisy (able to have good conversations without shouting). The server was also pretty attentive and friendly. Here's the food I tried: - Tater logs: giant delicious tater tots with cheese inside - "Walleye": It wasn't true walleye, but Alaska Pollock. However, I appreciate they disclosed that. It had great flavor and texture similar to lake walleye. The green beans were fresh and the rice pilaf was very flavorful with carrots and celery (not packaged minute rice) - Catfish: heavy breading, humongous portion. Catfish was never my favorite fish and this didn't change my mind. I appreciate the big portions, quality food, and great atmosphere. There aren't many restaurant options in the area, but this is definitely a good one!
