Salmon burger is much smaller than the bun and definitely breaded & fried
Jody K.

I'm torn between 2 & 3 stars. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. This Leo's is in a shopping center that was once thriving but is now virtually dead. I was there around 1:15 on a Sunday afternoon and there were a lot of people in the restaurant; in fact, I'd hazard a guess that all the cars in the parking lot were for the restaurant, as it doesn't seem that anything else is open anymore. I'd originally planned to get either a salad or a coney combo, but the salmon burger caught my eye. I asked the server if it was fried, as I didn't want fried fish. She said that it wasn't fried in the fryer, but I made the mistake of thinking that it was just a piece of pan fried salmon; I hadn't counted on it being breaded. It came on a large bun that looked grilled but felt cold, along with a pickle, lettuce and tomato. No dressing of any kind came with or on it. It tasted ok but wasn't anything special. I also ordered a mini tossed salad. That was disappointing. Some of the lettuce was brown and the couple pieces of tomato were under ripe. There were a couple of slices of cucumber on it and that was it. For $2.99, which is a lot for that size salad. I did notice, however, that this particular restaurant had a special menu with some things that aren't offered at other locations. There are many other Leo's Coney Islands that are not too far away. Those would be better choices.

Cold chili cheese fries.(wheees the cheese?) Overcooked, stale ground beef coney special.

It's what you expect from a coney island. Classic food and quiet atmosphere. Perfect for a quick bite without the hustle and bustle.

Gyro was good. Rice and red sauce sucked. Greek salad had a non-pitted olive that I almost cracked my tooth on. Bleh - go somewhere else.

I arrived early to sample their Happy Hour where I got a Tommy Margarita which was one of four cocktail choices on the Happy Hour menu where the other choices are an Old Fashion, Lemon Drop Martini and a Black Manhattan. All of which I personally am a fan of. Relative to my Margarita, it was very well made with 2 full ounces of Blanco Tequila as the base and quite tasty. Definately a drink with a kick and not a watered down version you get at most other bars in the area. At $8 it's a pretty good deal in my opinion especially for a drink of this quality. Relative to Dinner my wife got the White Fish dinner and I got the Milanese Chicken. Both dishes were excellent where they were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Prices on the menu were a tad high in my opinion but the old adage that you get what you pay for applies here and is definately worth the cost in my opinion. Appetizer was the Calamari which was well made and quite tasty in its own right. Relative to staff and facility, the facility is very classy with a nice contemporary flair to it, Definately an upscale feel to it where both the bar and the dining area offer an elevated dining/drinking experience. Staff was super friendly with great follow up where the bar can be a tad slower as only one bartender was working while I was there but he did a fairly good job of keeping up with the orders and high marks for his efficiency. Overall a great classy restaurant with a nice Happy Hour makes this a destination restaurant worth the trip if you live outside this area. For discerning customers who prize Quality in what they eat and drink this is a business not to be missed!

Three stars as the salmon portion was smaller than I'm accustomed to, and checkout took a bit longer than expected while the host figured out the system. I had planned to leave a tip but the process took longer than it should have. That said, I'll definitely try dining in soon to get the full experience. Highly recommend giving this salad a try!

The parking situation is a little weird, the lot is basically to the left of the restaurant, and if you try to park in the plaza to the right of it, there are signs up saying they will tow you. My friend and I started out with the baked feta, which was delicious. I don't really like olives so I asked for those on the side. It came with tomatoes on top and naan bread for dipping. For our entrees, I got the chicken limone - chicken piccata is one of my favorite dishes and this is very similar. It's $29 which I thought was a bit expensive but you do get a gigantic portion, I brought half of it home. My friend got what she thought was a salad but it was more of like a Mediterranean small chicken dish, and she got a side of the beef tallow fries, which we both thought were expensive at $7, but it was very tasty and she said it was worth it. Everything on the dessert menu looked great but we ended up splitting the campfire funnel fries, and it came out in the shape of a campfire! Very nice presentation. Waitservice was a bit slow, we had a separate person coming to refill our water and overall that was consistent until the end though. That being said, the food and the atmosphere was great so I would return another time.

Rod the Owner was wonderful he showed us great service starting with an amazing Iraki tea!! Some cucumber yogurt we ate on some flat bread which Colleen and I devoured it was the best!! Then he brought me my chicken shawarma and some Bulgur! It was in place of rice and so much better for you and I love rice. But I have a new favorite! He brought me a side dish of beans in some sauce I can't remember the name! I was in heaven those who know me know I am a creature of habit when it comes to food I usually stick with the same stuff when I find something I love. Their menu is huge and so many other things on it I want to try! I am sure I will be back in within the week. Rod was such a good human we loved talking to him. He has worked hard to make this place great. Very nice atmosphere. Everyone in that came into the restaurant raved of the food and service. So do yourself and him a favor and stop in! You will not be sorry! If you have any questions just ask him and if you happen to find anything you find is not your favorite let him know. I had a potato thing he brought in a sauce and I love potatoes but it wasn't my favorite! But the beans I snubbed my nose up to at first turned out to be something I would order again. The potato's were not bad I love potato's but he told me to just try the beans and to my surprise were really good, I would order again!! Great experience and being so sleepy after chemo it turned out putting me in a very happy state of mind!? Stop in soon and talk to Rod! They do catering as well. I hope to go back and try one of everything on his menu. Who knew I would love it so much!! Of course can't do it all in a day so you can bet that I will be coming back often of as often as my body lets me with chemo every three weeks!! This made our day!! Go eat you wont be sorry!!

The place is huge: dining rooms, private room, large bar area with many TVs, a stage and dance floor area, plus an outdoor patio which is enclosed for all year round use. It is usually very busy and therefore very loud especially in the bar/TV area. The menu has lots of options including for restricted diet which I appreciate being gluten free. The portions are large, you get your money's worth, even if the food itself is not super imaginative. The salads are my favorite, and are large enough to share. The Chop salad with steak and shrimp is very filling. The Greek with chicken actually comes with a good amount of toppings, not just a single beet or pepperoncini pepper on top. The service is always great and staff is friendly and accommodating. Splitting bills even for a large group is not an issue. If you're there on a weekend night for the live music, the dance floor area can get packed. The crowd and vibe depends on which band and music genre is playing. Overall it's usually a good night out, not a lot of places where you can get dinner and dance in the same location.

The fettuccini Alfredo starter might have been the best thing because it is so unique. They had a couple private parties happening or about to happen so I feel like they were putting their all into those events rather than the general seating. There was a lot of shuffling around happening which added a feeling of disorganization overall. I think it has a lot of potential but there are kinks to be worked out.
