Scott was quick to jump to inexpensive repairs first rather than telling me it needed a new transmission like all the others. In the end the torque converter was shot, so opted to put in a newer used transmission at the same time (transmission has to come out anyways for torque converter replacement). Truck runs perfectly now. Looking at Scott's work, all heat shields, cables, ties are back exactly where they were before he started. I'd trust him every time with any transmission work that needs doing.

We had decent experiences with this shop in the past but this is ridiculous.

When he finally called on dec 11 for me to pick up my vehicle , 1st he had me do was make a payment which was more expensive than putting in a complete new A/C I paid $1500 and I had not even seen my vehicle! Once I paid the outrageous amount I was walked to my vehicle. Once there I opened up the drivers door and to my surprise my brand new leather car seats ,and my brand new carsilk floor mats, radio speakers,and OBII scanner were all gone!!! I asked him where they were he said he left my vehicle outside because he needed room for another vehicle and someone broke into my vehicle!! He said it happened about a month or so earlier yet he never called the police!!! So I asked him to call the police that day but he wouldn't, so I called the police and they took a police report!! my back door wouldn't close and the back window wouldn't role down and my steering wheel wouldn't lock still !! I Cranked the car up and the check engine light was on !! He said the heater core needed be replaced, he even wrote me estimate for $2500 This vehicle was flawless when I dropped it off no problems other than the blower resistor and this was actually checked out by a legitimate shop independence Volvo!! Only needed the blower resistor replaced!! While the police were there he kept stating he would replace everything after the police left he was very rude and told me to take him to court!!! Because he's not responsible for vehicles that he's working on at his shop!!! I will never let this nut case work on anything else ever of mine and yes I am going to take him to court!!! I paid it anyway and upon getting in to my car saw a huge crashed in rear passenger door and rear side panel! I said what is this?? Jordan said that I dropped it off that way? I said no way it was in great shape - no crashed in door & panel. He said let me check the security camera- after reviewing the camera recording he confirmed ny statement that it was crash free. Then he said go get an estimat for repair - which I did- and it was extensive-$4142.00! Jordan and Donnie said that I had to contact their insurance company(located in Dallas Tx) for an estimate. I said you need to contact them for yourself because their insurance coverage is for them - Im not part of the equasion. After many days they- Donnie and Jorden- told me that their insurance company will pay only $1700 & that the rest is on me to make me whole?? I said WHAT??? What ever happened to customer service, honesty, integrity ?? And Jordan said that he drove my car to a parts store to return parts and that it must have happened there? They told me it was gonna run me 1191$. I accepted only because I had no other option although I really didn't have the money. A few days later they call me and tell me my car is ready but the total I had to pay was 1576$. I asked why it had increased and they told me because their were unforseen circumstances that complicated it. I argued and we negotiated but I still paid over 1300 dollars. Then when I pick it up..it's still not working. They charge it for 30 minutes while I sit in the parking lot. 10 days later my car breaks down. I take it back to them thinking they made a minor mistake. They call me and tell me now it's my alternator. 815$ they say. I tell them no thanks and have it towed to someone I trust more who will do it for 350 instead of 800$+. So the new mechanic finished my car and calls me to tell me that he replaced the alternator but it still won't start. He says he will figure out what's really wrong for 75 I say go ahead He finds out all it was was a faulty wire that he replaced for free and just charged me additional labor. 75+150. I purchased the part. The part I never even needed for 250. He also informed me that there's a good chance I never needed the ECM chip in the first place. So I called starmount and spoke to the owner, aired all my grievances. His attitude got progressively worse. He actually had the nerve to tell me he would replace my old alternator since there was nothing wrong with it but I HAD TO STAND THERE AND WATCH THE WHOLE TIME. Since I "thought they were such a bunch of crooks". Easily the most offensive sentence I've ever heard out of a "professional". All in all I'm out 1350$ for original work. 75$ for the 2nd tow from triple AAA 150$ for unnecessary labor to fix a false diagnosis. 250$ for an alternator I never even needed. Thanks Starmount. You really opened my eyes to the utter deception and evil intent of the automotive repair industry. Oh and btw, he hung up on me after I told him to have a good day.

I informed the shop I had my valve cover gasket replaced a couple of years ago. He stated they could not have been replaced with the shape they were in. I called to have a conversation and was told to bring the brittle worn out gasket to the shop and they would make it right. I called to verify if the same conversation had on Friday still stood before I drive an hour away and I get a different story from Nate the GM. You can trust anything being done to your vehicle that you can see with your own eyes. I wanted a refund of my service for valve cover gaskets left and right. They should not look like the below after a couple of years. I paid over $1206.61 and having to do the same work again. Very dissatisfied with this company!!
