This is the newest and fifth location of a small NYC bagel chain. The space itself is also very small. It is just a small window counter where you can get takeout orders. Leon's does have good quality bagels. They are classic hand rolled, kettle-boiled NYC bagels. However, compared to the competition, they are nothing special. Their selection is very small. It's basically a bagel with cream cheese for $2.00, a sausage or bacon egg and cheese for $10.50, or a lox sandwich for $16.00. The cream cheese one is actually a great deal as their bagels are a good size. The two breakfast sandwiches and lox sandwiches are a bit overpriced. I can go to many other places like Utopia Bagels which has a menu that is ten times larger with even fresher bagels that are made on premises and at cheaper prices.

[IN A NUTSHELL] great bagels [VERDICT] - APPROVED [RUN-DOWN] This was a great bagel place I came across. The bagels are super good, and I would recommend ordering online because the line can be long. Not sourdough bagels but still really good for New York. A little overpriced but I think it was still good. [SCORE & ORDER] OVERALL: 4/5 Bacon, Egg, Cheese Bagel with Child Crisp (4/5) -This was a good bagel place and the bagel was crispy and doughy. The amount of bacon they give was insane. It was so good and I think about it still. The great addition of the chili crisp was good because it gave it a spicier taste that I do not see a lot of bagel shops doing. The eggs were flavorful and the everything bagel was a great combination. I also shared with my mom with the cream cheese one and they PACKED that bagel. [SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE] (not reflected upon review score): Great service and long lines. It is a small stand so I would prepare to get there early. There's not much service because it is an order and pick up. It can get crowded.

We stopped by Leon's Bagels during our NYC trip, and the line was incredibly long! Thankfully, I ordered online ahead of time so we didn't have to wait, but there wasn't really any direction on where to go for pickup. I ended up asking, which was fine, but the pickup window was pretty chaotic. I'm pretty basic when it comes to bagels, so I just got an egg and cheese. It was good, but honestly, I don't know if I'd go back. I personally don't think it quite lives up to the hype, and I definitely wouldn't wait in line for it.

I mean it's a bagel. Idk what else to say - but I wouldn't wait in line for it again. Im sure there are other worthy bagels out there

Made the mistake of stopping by here for breakfast. I ordered through Uber Eats and waited about 50 minutes before being handed my bagel. I received a notification that my order was more than likely ready about 25 minutes after I ordered, and once I asked about my order I was told that "hopefully" my order will be ready in 15-20 minutes. I understand it's a very small establishment and there was a line of customers ordering and waiting for their food. However, if they are overwhelmed it would be wise to turn off online ordering and focus on in person customers. I say this as I witnessed customers wait in line and receive their order, but here I was waiting and waiting for my online pick-up order. On top of all the waiting, I thought the sandwich was very underwhelming. The bagel itself didn't taste fresh, cream cheese was just ok. Not sure I'll ever order Leon's Bagels again.

We had a great experience. Probably one of the best bagel sandwiches I have had. They had real bacon-thick. Eggs appeared freshly made as well. Service was good considering how popular this place is. Staff was kind. It's a walk up window. Not much for seating, but cute. Will be back again.

I tried the strawberry shortcake matcha along with the egg, cheese, and bacon everything bagel! The staff were really friendly :)

This time I added more olive oil on one side and heated the top cover part of the bread to make it crisp. This sandwich is big and has lots of vegetables in it as well. But this time I shared half of the sandwich and made my own salad at home. The place they have between Park Avenue and Madison had a sitting room in the back and a couple of tables outside with a cover on top. You will love their sandwiches and there is a line. It is definitely delicious. Very European style line as if I am in Italy.

There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.

The line was about 10 people long around 1pm, not terrible - gave me a chance to further investigate the menu and gaze at loads of drool-worthy meats and cheese in the display case. I opted for the L'italiana, which features Prosciutto, Pistachio Cream, Stracciatella, Sun-Dried Tomato, Arugula, though I swapped out the prosciutto for bresaola. Oh man, this bread is legit! And as a yuuuge pistachio fan, that cream is delightful, especially coupled with that creamy stracciatella. Super well-composed sandwich, amazing bread, quality ingredients...a hit! Needless to say, I'll be back in short order to try more of their menu. Good stuff!

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
