    Bacon Egg and Cheese

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Honestly, I don't understand the hype, or the line down the block that we had to wait on. I have seen Leon's all-over social media and my friend and I just happened to pass by when we were hungry. My BEC was overloaded with salt and took up almost all of the bagel. The egg was dry and falling out of the ends of it. I understand it's a busy place, but I was expecting the quality to be a bit better. I will never go back. Go to Tompkins instead.

Perfect bagel spot! I've seen these green/white bags all over the city. So glad to finally try it. I got the bacon egg and cheese on egg everything with hot sauce. Perfectly constructed sandwich. The walk up window was very clean. They had umbrellas to stand under on the sidewalk. Staff wiring the window were swiped friendly and had great energy for being in the rain. Will be back for the lox sandwich!

Being in NYC I figured the bagels would be delicious. I was never one to toast my bagel with cream cheese so I didn't this time either. The consistency of the bagel made it seem like it was from yesterday. I wasn't that thrilled. I placed my order online and it was ready at the time quotes. I enjoyed the scallion cream cheese.

I kept hearing people rave about Leon's Bagels, so of course I had to check it out while I was in New York and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I'd honestly put it up there as one of the best bagels I've ever had. I ordered the egg, bacon, and cheese, and wow... just perfect. The bagel itself had that ideal balance crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside and the sandwich was stacked just right. Nothing greasy, nothing falling apart, just really well done. It was so good that I actually went back the very next day and even grabbed a few extra to take home with me. The vibe of the place is pretty chill too. It's simple, quick, and you can tell they focus on doing one thing really, really well. Even with a bit of a line, it moved fast, and the staff was friendly. They also have cool merchandise. If you're a bagel person or even if you're not Leon's is a must-try. Totally worth the stop, and I'm already thinking about my next visit.

It was good...Usually don't get chili crisp/oil with the sandwich but I let social media get to me.

I tried Leon's bagels for the first time a couple of days ago and I loved it. I ordered lox bagel with a few modifications - all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. It was a perfect amount of spread and lox. The service was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this place!

A little expensive for a bagel sandwich but overall tasty and hearty. Def recommend adding in the chili crisp oil!

I went to on a Saturday morning around 11am, and I got the bacon, egg, and cheese with chili crisp on an egg everything bagel. The fillings were tasty--loved the kick from the chili crisp--and the whole thing had a pretty buttery flavor, which was nice. Still, I have to admit the bagel itself didn't quite live up to my expectations. Ordering was quick, with only a short wait at the counter, but it ended up taking over 30 minutes for my bagel to be ready. Overall, the experience was decent, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for the bagels here

Warm, delicious bagel with box cream cheese filling. A must try when you're in New York.

My friend recommended trying out Leon's bagels because she knows I can never turn down an amazing NY bagel. I had a wonderfully toasted and tasty scallion cream on an everything bagel. I'd definitely get it again! I've also tried the jalapeño cream cheese too. Has a nice lil kick to it. Service was food-- though they do get busy. Ordering ahead can be helpful! I'll be back!

New York is known for its bagels. It's the water that makes them taste just a bit different than any other state. This one was no different than what we are used to. An everything bagel to go. It was large and chewy. There was a small sit down stall across from the place where most were enjoying their bagels and beverage. There was another stall across the street and we chose to sit there, people watch and enjoy the bagel. Try not to drive here, it's incredibly congested. Use public transport, ride share or taxi.

For the hype I was actually expecting mid bagels, but it was actually pretty good. I think the bagel is a bit flat and not as doughy as I like, but still a solid bagel. I would get there early, there tends to be a line. Staff are friendly, but are easily distracted with each other lol. I will say wayyy too much cream cheese

Cool little walk-up on the edge of Little Italy, serving delicious bagels and sandwiches! There is no shortage of places to eat in this area but there is definitely a shortage of breakfast bagels. Especially delicious ones! We got the bacon, egg and cheese on everything -Its great. And we also got the lox on egg everything-delicious! Friendly quick service also. They were very efficient.

Perfect texture, something NYC can proudly own about our bagels, and the cream cheese was just right! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Visit June 2026: I'm…read moreadmittedly not a bagel expert but when in NYC a bagel is a must. Supposedly so is eating a street hot dog but I'm not too sure on that lol. Anyways, the girls had bookmarked another bagel establishment but the line was hella long like they were giving away Knicks gear for free. Ironically another "bagel shop" search on Yelp showed PopUp Bagels was like three doors down lol. No line! That in itself was making me question but there is a PopUp in San Diego that my daughter swears by. PopUp advertised itself as "Not Famous, but known." Whether or not this bagel is better than the one store three doors up is something I cannot attest to. However I can say THIS WAS A DANG GOOD BAGEL! And it was freshly made! How do I know? It literally burned my fingers when I ripped it open! The pain was worth it. Outside, a slightly crisp texture generously coated with "Everything". Inside was a dense and chewy dough that was pliable but able to withstand the dipping and shmearing of cream cheese (which was smooth). Best I have ever had for sure but then again my most common bagel experience is the place named after a scientist where tons of bagels are sitting in bins for who knows how long. So why wasn't this a 5-star experience? One, I only ate one thing. Two, sevice and setting are "just there". Considering it wasn't busy I would expect a bit more of a welcome. To eat you're bagel you can full on just leave, sit at the three stools inside where it is super hot (bc hey they actually cook), or three stand outside. There is a little, I'll say "patio", where you can stand, eat, and true story, watch two people argue about who gets to sort through the recyclables from the neighborhood eateries. Snack and a show???? I just stood near the door and enjoyed my bagel.

The bagel itself is pretty solid. It's fluffy and got a nice texture to it. Honestly though, I'm…read morenot sure I really fugg with the whole concept. You cannot order a single bagel, you must order your bagels in 3s. So if you're not a big back and instead are a loser with no friends, you might have more bagels than you can eat. The bagels come whole and you're supposed to rip them and dip them into the cream cheese, and there's many smears to choose from, which is a plus. However, this requires a two hand situation, which means it's difficult to eat on the go, and the seating inside is limited. I did not realize this at first and I was trying to slice my bagel in half with a butter knife, and I failed and started ripping it to shreds in a fit of passion and rage. That when I saw their neon sign that says "GRIP. RIP. DIP," which sounds sexual, and realized that's the concept and intention. My advice--if you're gonna visit, come with a couple friends so you can try the bagels without having to eat 3. And bring hand sanitizer so you're not ripping up the bagel with your filthy subway fingers.
