The most heavenly bite I had my entire trip to New York City! If there's one thing you try in NYC it should be this. I did the build your own bagel on an Egg Bagel with Herb Garlic Cream Cheese, scrambled eggs, cheese & ketchup. It was fantastic and quick service! I highly recommend if you're ever in NYC.
At first when you see the package it's so big. You open and you see a bagel on steroid. I ordered a Bacon egg cheese with cucumber, red onions and tomatoes on an everything bagel The dough was soft and warm and the ingredients inside were fresh. The bacon grilled to a perfect crisp with the egg and cheese and other vegetables overlapping creating such a great texture. The staff are friendly , professional and knowledgeable. The space is a stand alone. Nowhere to sit and eat. It's a grab and go type of place.
Delicious! Bagels were soft, chewy, flavorful. Cream cheese scoop was generous and so creamy. 100% would eat again.
Holy moly! This bagel was huge! My first NY bagel was absolutely delicious. I swear it weighed a pound or so. Way beyond my expectations! Epic!
Leon's Bagels was such a special experience for us. When the staff found out it was my son's birthday, they truly went above and beyond. They were so warm, kind and genuinely excited for him and surprised him with a free birthday bagel which absolutely made his day. In a busy city, that kind of kindness means everything. 10/10 Great bagels, even better service. We'll definitely remember this place.
I went to the Financial District location because I didn't want to deal with the long lines in SoHo lol -- and yes, there was no line at all here! I ordered a BEC (bacon, egg, and cheese) on an everything bagel with chili crisp. It was around $16-18, not exactly sure, but I can tell you right now -- this is definitely shareable. If you eat the whole thing yourself, you probably won't have room for anything else the rest of the day. We waited about 8-10 minutes, which isn't bad at all, especially since it's such a popular spot. The bagel came out piping hot. The cheese was super melty and stretchy, and they were very generous with the filling. The chili crisp adds great flavor, but it can get a little messy. The bagel itself is huge. Totally worth trying -- and even better when you don't have to wait in a long line.
Great little breakfast stop! If you're staying at the Artezen Hotel, Leon's Bagels is just a 5-minute walk and super close to the subway and the Oculus. I love that their bagels are on the softer side -- perfect for breakfast and not too heavy. Highly recommend stopping here to start your day. Tip: order online on your way over and pick up at the window so you don't have to wait outside, especially in the winter! Prices might vary. Fyi: this location is just a window, no seating. I recommend taking your bagel to-go and sitting in a nearby coffee shop or walking to City Hall Park.
Really solid bagels!! They're pretty fluffy and not dense at all. I love how easy it is to just order online and quickly be able to pick up your order. And it's so so easy to just customize your order however you want, which isn't always the case for most places.
I came here last month for the first time since this place is very new. It looked very cool and nice. Looked like a white patio deck at the beach from the outside. Did not really fit the block well when I saw it. No wonder this stood out in my eyes while I was walking on John Street. I decided to give it a try with their bagels and coffee since it looked nice and they have a variety of bagels. I didn't realize you can insert cream cheese spread and lox until I saw the menu. I got myself a whole wheat everything bagel, egg everything bagel, and an iced latte. The iced latte had a flagrant and aromatic coffee taste that was very enjoyable. I loved the egg everything bagel. It was fresh and easy to break off. My teeth did not have to struggle to chew the bagel into pieces. I got weak teeth so the bagel got to be fresh and soft.
The bagel that saved my life. Also, thank you to the employees for accepting our modified make-our-own bagel.
I will be dreaming about this bagel! I just got a plain bagel with the jalapeno cream cheese and it was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back if I am ever in New York again.
There was a pretty long line when we went at ~9:30 but i wanted to try the bacon egg and cheese cuz I've never had one in nyc. I think I'll stick to my lox from now on though simply because the bacon was a bit too salty for me to have in the sandwich. It was good but too overpowering
I tried it for the first time and it is amazing how fast and efficient they are. The bagels are amazing and soft I ordered a breakfast bagel and it came out so fast and hot the cheese was melted properly and just the exact amount of butter I love all over the bagel and the service they are such sweet and patient because I had to look at the menu....but I can see why in my area there is always a line.....they are the goto hot fresh bagels to get and the look of the shop is so quaint like I am in a European country buying a bagel for breakfast....I will try this again on my way to work

I still think about the moment when I first bit into my bagel. I want another one now. Located in the Financial District, this bagel shop is literally a order n go. There's no seating at all, or any nearby as a matter of fact. I ordered a create your own with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, garlic & herb cream cheese on an everything bagel. Savored every single bite. My friend ordered the bacon egg and cheese also on an everything bagel and she loved it as well. Service was efficient and friendly so that was appreciated. I came here for lunch with my parents as we were in FiDi, as they were visiting NYC and wanted to try some bagels. As an FYI, Leon's Bagels is largely a grab-and-go spot, with no seating at all as they are a stand. We got their lox bagel, their BEC, and sausage and egg. Everything was pretty good, and huge portions. When I came, there was a wait and I ended up having to wait for my order for 20 minutes after ordering. Although it was good to try, I'm not sure it was worth the wait. I think there are plenty of bagel spots in NYC that are more worth the hype. read more

Great spot for bagel sandwiches! I had heard so much about it and my friends and I went to finish and were not disappointed!! The sandwiches were fresh and hot and the bagels weren't chewy! I recommend ordering online and doing a pick up so you don't have to wait in the long queues though! Since this location is near Pace University, it might be more busy so ordering online for pickup helps a ton! read more

Finally tried it on a shorter line day, I got the Sausage Egg & Cheese on Egg Everything Croissant, honestly, wasn't too impressed... Overall felt underseasoned wish I had hot sauce on the spot. The bagel was cut quite uneven. Also didn't love the scrambled egg probably it is the egg from those carton box. Overall Apollo's across the street wins big time but I really wanted a breakfast bagel that day! read more

Really enjoyed this bagel! Heard I had to try the lox, and it didn't disappoint. The line will seem daunting, but it moves pretty quickly. They also give complimentary postcards, so you can send one out if you're on vacation. read more

We went to the Financial District location and it was just a window that you order at. There was a small line at 11:30 am on a Saturday. We only waited a few minutes. It was very quick! We chose this place because they had gluten free bagels for my family. They were very happy! I ordered a chai latte with oat milk, it was very tasty!! Love the green gingham design! The workers were very nice! We stayed at the Aloft hotel and our sandwiches were still very warm when we got back to the hotel. read more

Service was fine, good for how busy it was. Decent pace. I got a plain toasted sesame bagel cause I couldn't afford a sandwich. Pretty good value, only 2$. The bagel is good, it's moist with good flavor. Could imagine how good it would be in a sandwich or with cream cheese read more

Excited to see another bagel shop pop up in the neighborhood. I've walked past their other locations plenty of times but never had the opportunity to grab a bagel until today. Of course I had to try the BEC with chili crisp! My bagel buddy got his favorite, classic lox, which he enjoyed... The BEC with chili crisp is probably my new favorite breakfast sandwich in the area. read more
Came on a Monday morning at 10:30am and there was a line already, thought I could beat the crowd on a weekday. Waited 10 minutes from ordering to receiving which is still a bit too long for a New Yorker haha. I got the whole wheat everything bagel with garlic & herb cream cheese. Bagel was toasted and I liked that it didn't taste like cardboard since sometimes whole wheat items can be dry and flavorless. I appreciated that the cream cheese wasn't overly caked on, just the right amount without feeling guilty afterwards. Good to try and friendly staff but probably wouldn't go out of my way to have this. read more

Kind of a pop-up bagel place as there's no table or place to sit. Order your bagels at the counter and wait for it to be ready as takeout. Bagels were pretty good tho not as good as those in East Village and service was quick. read more

We got the regular bacon egg and cheese added chili crisp. We ate in silence It was perfect - although a bit messy from the chili oil. I'd get it again and again. We went as soon as they opened so no line! It was ready in minutes. read more

We got a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Added chili flakes. Great bagel and sandwich. Coffee was very good as well. We had bad coffee right before at a coffee shop down the street that we threw out almost instantly. So we were glad Leon's had coffee and it was way better. The sandwich was good. I'd give it a 7.5 / 10. My own fault tho!! Added chili flakes were ok but it would've been way better if done like normal. Would definitely go back. Service was fine not great. Cool looking little spot and cool vibes. read more
