I have been doing food reviews for quite a long time I have a food allergy to peppers well they put peppers in the food and the salad when I order my lasagna as I do everyday three times a week same order I order my lasagna with extra sauce and no peppers on the salad dude or food allergy not only is the person not intelligent enough to not put the peppers because I have an EpiPen and I could end up in the hospital and die but I'm paying for a dinner because they don't do just the cheese lasagna itself and the dinner comes with rolls that I never get the rolls and it also comes with three meatballs and I have gotten the meatballs and haven't gotten the meatballs so sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't but it seems that the salad always has a pepper green pepper on it and I tell them all the time don't put pepper on it well I called to get my lasagna and I was going to actually check the order before I left she said we have a problem we can't serve you anymore because my boss told me we can't serve you because you complained about the food well let me tell you guys the service is ridiculous the girl at the phone her name is Michelle I don't know her personally but she was very nasty with me on the phone very rude and ignorant I have no place to cook because I do not have a place to stay and cook so I need to eat out everyday and have good food instead of eating fast food so I wanted a lasagna dinner with a side salad well a salad I got last week had a pepper on it and I gave it to my brother and my sister and brother both saw the salad with the pepper on it and the fact I got no meatballs it really drove me crazy I was very pissed off it was disgusting that she told me they would not serve me food any longer because I complained about there making that mistake that's bad customer service it's not correct they lose customers all the time and I didn't realize it was because of the staff it's the staff and if they mess up your food and you end up in the hospital they don't care I told her not to put a pepper on my salad and I told her make sure there's meatballs in it she said we'll give you a free dinner and this is the last time you can ever order food with us and I said keep your dinner I don't want your dinner because you'll probably get that wrong too it's always even though I tell them please don't put a pepper on it because I'm allergic she thinks she's not putting peppers but she is and it's unprofessional all they had to do was check the meal before I walk out and say we wanted you to see this meatballs in here and we wanted you to see there's a salad with no pepper but instead of correcting the problem like business people that are professional and run a business in a restaurant during a pandemic they decided to lose business and somebody that was going there three times a week I think they're ridiculous and I think it's very unprofessional and stupid very BADDDD place to go read more

While I thought the food was good, this place is overpriced, no air conditioning and long waits for food. I would have been better off going to Sebastians Marias or Halibut Point for an air conditioned sit down meal with wait staff for the same or less. Even Azorean is priced better and have a great selection of dishes for all paletes. I hate overpaying for mediocre. Is there no pride in quality and taste anymore? This is my favorite pizza joint in town. Simple, tried and true cheese pizza goodness. They use an old school pizza oven, not some conveyer belt system other places use. There is a ton of craft & love in their pizza making and you can taste it. This is a mom and pop shop - and there are many in town - but this one makes my favorite pizza. I've sampled them all. This place is great for trays of food for gatherings - lasagna, eggplant parm, ziti, salads, pizzas, etc. Every time we have ordered their trays, our guests compliment the food. AND, it's only $1 per tray to deliver - so worth it! read more

Leonardo's is great. We have tried many of the other pizza places in Gloucester and none compare. The owner has always been in there and you can see them making everything for you. The toppings on the pizza are fresh especially the mushrooms. The chicken kabob salad is very good as well as the wings. read more

I'm so delighted to have found Leonardo's Pizzeria the other night. I had almost given up locating a decent pie in Gloucester MA. I used to live near the northend where the pizza is unrivaled and have always been a bit picky with my pizza. I love a good italian pizza... and Leonardo's is the BEST pizza in Gloucester; hands down. The crust is made from fresh dough.. not too much salt.. it's an italian doughy crust. I find this very hard to find in Gloucester as most places taste either A. like frozen cardboard or B. soggy and gummy "greek" style. The sauce is a perfect synergy of tangy and sweet... and the cheese is quality. This pizza reminds me of Regina Pizza in the northend! their takeout pizza is good. went in today for lunch and got a tuna sub with lettuce, tomatoes, and 'hots'. they use way too much mayo in their tuna salad and a paltry amount of wilted shredded lettuce and tomatoes. i shall stick to their pizza from now on. read more
