Would recommend this service provider. They are a two person/man team, arrived timely, provided a reasonable price, and came prepared to complete the job on the spot of what should have only been a consultation. Was not expecting that, but it was greatly appreciated, as we were hoping to get the job completed as soon as possible ... the pair worked well together, had the necessary equipment, communicated well, and completed the job in under 2.5hrs in 94 degrees. They even placed fallen tree branches, and the materials buried in the weeds, off to the side ... we have no complaints and would hire them again. Pictures included are before and after.

Truly Remarkable Service -- Good value for the price. Orange…read moreRoots Lawn Care took care of our front yard as well as our backyard and did an excellent job at both locations! The backyard had a challenging project for them since there were large two-foot weeds throughout the entire backyard, and Joel and his team handled it with no mess at all! It was a complete transformation! Joel is truly committed to making things right for his customers, and he also pays a ton of attention to detail. In addition, Joel is a super nice guy, very easy to communicate with, and will return (without hesitation) to fix something that you think needs to be touched up or worked on again. The amount of commitment to follow through with his customers is hard to come by and well appreciated! The crew itself is something special. They work together as a team -- they provide hard and efficient work -- and, to be honest, the excitement they have while they are working their job was super surprising to us. You just feel good when you see a group of guys that loves working together and take pride in their job they provide to you. If your yard is in need of total attention or just upkeep, then call on Orange Roots. We will be looking forward to seeing them again soon!

*Beware*.....We were interested in hiring a Gardner and we reached out to Orange Roots with Joel…read moreand he came by and gave us an estimate. We were interviewing that day five other gardeners. We decided that we were going to hire him because he came across as very Professional. I told all the gardeners that I was interviewing that day I would get back with them that evening. So we tried to reach out to Joel and offered him the job, but we had a few questions. Joel's phone went to voicemail which was no problem. He returned with a text the next morning that said I will call you today at 10 AM.....Well, 10 AM came and went and my husband called back at 12 o'clock and he called us back. We had just a few questions and one was we always pay at the end of every month when the work was completed.... We have had a gardeners before for over 5 years. Joel replied, that he would need to be paid for the full month upfront. I said no business that is reputable pays for full services for a full month upfront. I do however, understand that some companies need to have materials paid for upfront, but you NEVER pay for services rendered until the job is completed. So I told him that we would not be hiring him and he hung up on my husband and I that was very rude...Then he texted back and said well I need money upfront to pay my guys... I don't care how you pay your guys, but you never pay in full until services have been rendered.... Joel was extremely immature and very rude and THAT is not how you deal with potential customers.... He should've said, "I'm sorry, but that is how I do business, but thank you so much for your interest in Orange roots and I wish you well on finding a new gardener" that is how you do business... Beware. Rude

Had an awesome experience with Golden State Tree Care…read more Dave came out to bid a very big job, pruning back many large trees on our property. They wrote everything down and gave a firm quote for the job. We scheduled the work to take place a few weeks later on a day that worked for me. They arrived on schedule that morning, bringing a crew of (I believe) 5 people. I heard them talking to eachother as they were up in the trees and in the lift bucket, giving guidance to eachother based on what they each saw from different angles. I felt they were very concerned for the safety of the crew and for making sure they got the right limbs and brought them down without damage to surrounding plants and structures (or windows!). They were very thorough. At the end of the day, they cleaned up completely, leaving our property cleaner than when they got here. They even used their blower to clean all the old leaves off a balcony below where they had been working, even though most of those leaves had been there for months. They also did a walk-through with me to go over everything they did. At that point, Dave noticed one more high branch that he thought they should quickly take down (he said "because if it were my house, it would bug me to see that branch there every day"), so he had one of his guys do so. We couldn't be more pleased with Dave and his crew. Very reliable and trustworthy. We will be using them again.

My experience with them was great…read morefrom beginning to end: -I initially looked at their web site and emailed them regarding information. They contacted me within 24 hours and setup an appointment for someone to come out and write a quote. I emailed several other tree care companies, but none responded. -A few days after getting the quote I called to schedule the tree removal. I was initially surprised that I'd have a wait a few weeks for them to come out again, but I now know that they are usually booked out for a few weeks. These guys stay busy because they are that good. I was told that someone would come out in a few days to paint a circle on the ground around the tree so that the utility companies (PG&E, AT&T, etc.) would know which tree was being removed and where they should mark the ground around their buried utilities. -A few days later the tree was marked. Over the next few days the utility companies marked the ground showing where electrical, gas, water, phone, and cable was buried near the tree. I'm not sure if this is a legal requirement since the last tree care company I used didn't bother, but the buried utilities turned out to be very close to the tree and I like the idea of having it removed safely without a stump grinder knocking out my power/phone/gas water. -Several days before the tree was to be removed I got call from Golden State Tree Care saying they had some schedule changes and asking if they could come a few days before the original date. I said yes, but they made it clear that the original date was good as well. -When they came to remove the tree they were very quick and professional. It was a large tree and they were here for less than an hour. They did an excellent job grinding the stump below the surface, leveling out the ground where the tree used to, and cleaned everything up afterwards.
