Leonard Roofing did my roof over nine years ago. I called Monday and two Spanish men came out Tuesday. I was given a time window of 9-10AM. They came at 11. They found the cause of the leak and patched it. They said in broken English (I do not speak a Spanish) that they would be back Wednesday. They never showed up. I called Leonard Roofing after 4 on Wednesday and was told someone would be at my home Thursday morning. A new worker showed up at 9:15! He spoke English! He brought cement roofing tiles as several on my roof were cracked. I wish I had gotten his name. He was VERY Good! If anyone from Leonard reads this, you have a good worker! I paid by check which I gave the roofer. I would use Leonard Roofing again!!! Four stars (less than perfect due to waiting at home all day for roofers who never came and/or called). read more

Leonard Electric installed the original solar system on my new Lennar home, and when I actually needed support, they walked away. Here's what happened: Tesla Energy came out to add to my system, and during the integration they found that one of the original panels wasn't working and flagged a fault on one of the strings. I called Leonard Electric to look into it. Their tech, Frankie, came out, checked with his supervisor Jo, and then told me Leonard Electric would no longer support the system I purchased -- because Tesla had since added to it. They wouldn't even test whether the panels I originally paid for were functioning. No diagnostic, no verification, nothing. Just "not our problem anymore." So I'm left with a system I paid good money for, a known fault, and an installer who won't lift a finger to confirm their own work was ever sound. I was never given any tool or documentation to verify the system at the time of purchase, so when something goes wrong, the company that installed it should at least be willing to look. I recently purchased a new home and paid off my solar system--which includes a Tesla battery system--in full. The system was installed by Leonard Roofing in conjunction with SunRun, the provider of the solar components. The installation, however, was performed incorrectly by Leonard Roofing. Specifically, the electrical wiring was not done to code or manufacturer specification, rendering the system non-operational and unable to activate. I expedited full payment to ensure the solar system would be active in time for the summer season, but due to Leonard Roofing's poor workmanship and lack of follow-through, that has not been possible. Despite repeated follow-ups, Leonard Roofing is now delayed in correcting their mistakes, and I have been informed that SunRun must return after Leonard Roofing's corrective work--causing even further delays. This has resulted in significant inconvenience, lost energy savings, and the potential for damage to expensive solar equipment. I trusted Leonard Roofing, a licensed contractor, to complete the work to professional and legal standards. After having our additional solar panels installed, we discovered several crack and broken roof tiles, on the other side of our house. Our builder referred us to Leonard's, the original installer and out came Mark. Thankfully, we had spare tiles from our installation of additional panels, before SCE NET 2.0 last year. Nice! We found Mark to be friendly, fast and competent. And our bill, came in exactly at the original estimate, which was more than fair. read more

Their company vehicle was driving in front of me on the freeway (99), and an entire 2-3foot METAL wrench came flying out from their truck ON THE FREEWAY. EXTREMELY dangerous and could've easily killed someone. Driver did not even notice. Truck bed also look incredibly flimsy and items in back were not at all tied down (everything shaking). Drivers license looked like 77626Y3, something along that line. Please get your workers to be more responsible. read more

Pedro came out to help us with a Pulte warranty issue. We had water spots on our ceiling and Pedro diagnosed, took photos, and set up our next tradesman who is the sprinkler provider. The sprinklers are leaking on our attic and nothing to do with the roof. Btw the roof looks great and I think this guy for helping us out and getting us some help. Well done guys read more

Leonard roofing installed my 2019 built home's roof during construction. Then in May of 2023 a window washer walked on my patio roof and broke 3 tiles. I called Leonard Roofing to see if I could have them come out and replace them. They said Yes! They sent a great guy who checked all of my roof, found no other broken tiles, then carefully installed 3 new ones on the patio roof. All of this for a low price. I highly recommend Leonard roofing for new roof jobs and also repairs. read more

I have been working with this contractor for 15+ years and they are the best in the business. Honesty and Integrity go a long way in the construction business and is getting harder to find. Where do I begin? Every time it rained, the water leaked under the eaves and got the stucco wet. I called KB Homes about it and Leonard sends out a repairperson to take a look. The guy didn't even speak English. He poured some water down the roof to the edge. With the limited English skill he had, he told me that my rain gutter was to blame and that it should be shifted over a few inches. Then he left. I did what he asked, but that didn't solve the issue. Called AGAIN and this time they sent over Mark. He took several tiles off and discovered the problem. He "fixed" it. (When hurricane Hilary came by a few weeks ago, the same thing happened.) I asked for photos of his repair and a copy of the paperwork. I was told to contact Daisy, so I did. No response. I had to leave a voicemail and an email. Still no response. This was 8/15. Today is 9/4. Why does KB Homes do business with this company. I hope this is not the same company that also does the flooring because I have some issues with that as well. After three years of living in our new home I noticed one of our solar panels was cracked and discolored. When I contacted Leonard Roofing they said it would be investigated and the findings reported . Turned out the solar panel was over torqued and caused the cracks overtime. We have a new build home whose roof was installed by this company, my neighbor noticed we had some cracked tiles so I called the builder who directed me to Leonard's as the roof installer. We had a guy come out and check it out and said there were several tiles cracked but he fixed the major crack. He said we would be back to fix the rest and have Daisy contact me to set up a time. Never heard back!! Any builder using them to install roofs for their homes need to look for another company that has better customer service and response time. Oh he also try to place blame on the solar installer who cracked the tiles but the way he was walking up there, I doubt he cracked more of them. STEER CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY! read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are incompetent and dishonest. I bought a Pulte home and they were the vendor that Pulte contracted. I had a horrible situation where sand and soot were coming into my house through the kitchen range hood. This had been improperly installed and the venting was not done correctly. Pulte send Leonard out 4 times to fix the situation. They failed. To add insult to injury, their worker dented my new range stove top when he carelessly worked with the metal duct on top of the stove. They refuse to take responsibility. I purchased a brand new home through KB & this place is who they contracted to install all of their roofs in my subdivision. My home just hit the 5yr mark & I have tiles slipping out of place. I've had 2 separate roof inspectors come out & say it was due to "faulty workmanship" installation. Very disappointed in business practices and quality. Leonard Roofing installed my roof for home builder but will only warrant work for one year through the builder. What roofer warrants their work for only a year? Have had multiple roofing companies inspect via drone and found broken tiles that can only be explained by stepping on them and tiles that were not attached properly and are slipping off. Roof is 4 years old and hasn't been touched since installation with no trees or anything around it. Company will only fix issues if I pay hundreds of dollars for inspection and maintenance. read more

I am stuck with them because they installed the solar panels on my roof. One of the panels is not working for more than one month and then finally send someone to my house to fix it on August 28th. I assumed the person has fixed the issue but when I check online again in September the panel was offline. I called them and the lady handling Solar Panels told me that some one will come last Friday but no one showed up. After leaving several voicemails (which noone returns), they made an appointment for next Monday. I hope they show up next week. read more

Sure enough years later (and while still under builder warranty) our roof leaks and damages dry wall. These guys were contracted by DR Horton to install new roofs on new homes in the Santa Clarita area. I am the original owner so I can tell you nobody has been on my roof since the day I closed escrow. These new roofs lasted less than 12 yrs before developing multiple failures and leaks. Once we pulled back the concrete tiles it looked like a patch work of left over pieces overlapping each other in areas where there should be straight runs right off a new roll. It is NOT what a new roof should look like. Some of the overlap was three pieces thick with No roofing nails holding any of it down. Underlayment was ultra-thin cheap stuff that quickly failed and deteriorated. Flashings were poorly installed or missing. Roof nails were the cheap plastic cap versions where the cap quickly deteriorated and falls off. Once that happens, the roof begins to curl along the edges and water has a new path into your living room. Nobody even considered a quality grade metal cap that would hold down the roof for the entire life of the roof. Torch-down wasn't even considered. It seemed as though the installer had no understanding of how to install a roof or what flashings were used for and why you need them. The roof is completely shot. DR Horton also needs to shoulder the blame here since they contracted the lowest bidder and then did not keep an eye on their work and hold them accountable. There is a reason WHY they are the lowest bidder. Somebody at DR Horton needs to also be fired for incompetence. What a mess read more

I've attempted to make contact with Norma from this company for over a month and have left voicemail messages and had the receptionist leave several notes on her desk (or so they say). Norma actually called and left a voicemail and when I attempted to call her back I again was told " she is not at her desk but I can take a message and leave it on her desk". I believe that Norma needs more help if she is to busy to return customers phone calls. If this company was jot the one who installed my solar panels I would bot be wasting my time with them. Think twice about hiring Leonard roofing! I bought a home from Tim Lewis communites, who subs their work out to Leonard roofing. My roof was full of miscut and broken tiles. Vents were not secure. Some areas not water tight. The 1st time they went to fix areas of concern, they just used a gob of mastic to repair the area in question, while I was told by the builder the tiles had been replaced. Not a very good start for a brand new home. I wish I could up load photos of the poor workmanship of this company.The builder sent this roofer out twice to fix the problems and I am still waiting for final photos of all areas of work completed, but they can not seem to get competent photos. I had to have the roof re inspected (and I am thankful that I did because it still wasn't done correctly.) I am hopeful that this post will warn you to do your due diligence, because I was stuck with the builders choice. Maybe this post will get them to do better work. read more
