Went twice both times had to return after 3-5 days because the gel manicure chipped everywhere! Do not go there. I asked for a fucking butterfly and I got 3 wings on half a butterfly. Who doesn't know what a butterfly looks like?! Some of my nails are longer than others. They're so thick and uncomfortable. Don't make an appointment because you still have to wait apparently. Horrible acrylic nails. Pedicure is good and massage. Been here multiple times, LOVED it George is the best. I had given my nails a brake and decided to go back and have manicure and pedicure done. Since I had no apportionment and just walked in they had me wait. Which that's understandable, I get it I had No appointment. But, as I'm waiting I noticed another color walked in was greeted with a smile and "HELLO HOW ARE YOU " I walk in "PICKA COLOR" mind you also with no appointment,was sent to the back for pedicure. I just went to Leon's for the first time I just moved into the area and they did a great job. I got out of work and didn't have an appointment and I walked in and within 10 minutes. They had me seated super fast even though they were decently busy. They did a great job I bite my nails and they are very short and she did them amazingly The pricing is good as well I got a gel manicure for $26. read more

I only gave three stars because I felt like everything was rushed. I didn't get any preparation for the acrylics I was going to get. No cuticle care, no prepping... nothing. I literally went in, and she started with the acrylics. Also, it was very uncomfortable there, maybe it's just me, but I didn't like the constant staring, and then speaking to each other in a different language. But maybe it was just me who thought it was a little weird.. But still. I was rushed during my little stay here. And I just wish I had some prepping done to my nails before the acrylics were done. However, I guess I paid for what I got.. It was only $25 for acrylics. Which is not bad compared to other places I have been. Jenny closes at 7:30. I enter at 6:50pm. I get the greatest pedi and mani, no rush-rush... I had a powder acrylic fill in plus gel polish. So, I wasn't a 40 min customer. I left after 8:00pm feeling so relaxed, so pretty. My nails and toes look so dolled up. In fact, even though I kept jenny and her staff there 1/2 hour past their end time, they took one last customer for an eyebrow wax (lucky fella)! I've lived in the area for 13 years and this is the only nail salon I go to. George, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming. He always asks how my family and I are doing, and it's nice to have that kind of consideration. The language barrier can be a little tough with some of the other employees but I've never had a drastic issue because of it. The employees are nice and generally gentle when working on my nails. Of course, nobody is perfect all the time - I have definitely had small blips in my encounters here but for the thousands of times I've gone here, that doesn't mean much. Overall, great service, welcoming feeling, and you can't beat the price. Definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

I should have read some of the other reviews because the place really isn't clean and needs major updating. The technician that did my manicure was also very rough and cut me while trimming my cuticles. They rushed my service, they didn't clean my nails, I honestly don't know what I just paid for cause I could've did better at home. The tech literally slapped my foot to get the dust from the filing off my feet. I also asked for square and got oval and then not to mention when I decided to express my disliking of the service, the nail tech who was servicing me got an attitude and started talking bad about me to her other co-workers. They then switched my nail tech and the second woman was worse than the first. She barely put lotion on my feet, like I mean I literally walked out with ashy feet and NO ONE CARED!!! Honestly, I was so excited to come here based off the other reviews but was sadly disappointed by the service. I came in for a gel manicure, and was quickly whisked away to a chair to pick from a multitude of colors. After choosing a color, I couldn't seem to grab the attention of the woman who was set to actually do my nails as she was engrossed in conversation with another worker. After beginning, she was immediately too rough with me and continuously she mentioned "oh too much?", this would have been ok had she not kept repeating her actions and continued to hurt me. Unfortunately, I was in too deep and couldn't turn back. Between the excessive and rough filing, what else could go wrong? More. The worker next to our station repeatedly kept coughing IN MY DIRECTION (no covering of the mouth) followed by burping. How this is remotely acceptable or possible is beyond words. As if this wasn't bad enough, the other woman working on the opposite side of us began randomly loudly burping as well. Now; to the nails. They did come out nicely, and she was fine with putting 3 coats as it was a bit see thru after only 2. After they finished drying, she put a ridiculous amount of alcohol on a swab so much so that my entire hand was covered in alcohol. OK, FINE; no one is perfect BUT when it came time for the lotion she managed to massage my hand so hard and finished with punching it that I couldn't let her do it again to my left hand. By the end of this whole ordeal I was upset that I let myself become sacrifice for the sake of a gel manicure. ** Do yourselves a favor and skip this local 'favorite'. DO NOT GET WAXED HERE. I have permanent scars in my eyebrows from getting waxed here and my skin getting pulled off. Years ago I got my first scar on my left eyebrow from their waxing service and, in a rush, decided to give them another chance only to have the same thing happen again on my right eye. Waxing room very dirty, and I only hope treating my new injury with scar cream will make it less viable than the scar previously left. Best nail salon. I was shocked to see that they had so few reviews and feel really inclined to write this. I have been coming here for years and recently moved to NYC. I cannot find any other nail salon that compares. I come all the way back to Long Island just to get my nails done here. The service is great. They are incredibly polite and know most customers by name. They do very high quality work for an extremely low, unbeatable price. My gel manicure lasts 3, sometimes even 4 weeks (especially if they do a design because it hides when your nails start to grow in). The place is very clean. They never rush, even if it's busy. It is worth waiting because they will spend the time giving you your individual attention and pay close attention to detail when it is your turn. The place is also very clean, and they have a huge selection of colors. One time I asked for mint green gel polish and they didn't have it. The next time I went in they had it. I used to be a regular here and have spent so much money here over the years. Their customer service has gone down tremendously. I'm a regular and get a gel mani and a pedi every time so I spend a decent amount of money here. The last four times I have gone here they have terrible service! The place wasn't even that busy and the owner made me wait nearly 20 minutes - that's fine. But then when he did take me, he was so rude! He kept looking at his phone and kept getting up in between . He was stopping every 2 minutes to have small talk with other people. I get it - it's your business so you need to welcome everyone but then don't take me. I would much rather wait an extra 10 minutes for someone's full attention then this shitty mani. This really topped at all so I won't be coming back here. read more

They reuse towels without them being washed, an employee picking her nose in front of everyone like it's ok then didn't wash her hands after she was done. Got a pedicure and a manicure. Went for a manicure today and I will have to wait to see how long the polish remains without chips. I was happy with the process, but would have felt more comfortable with Abit more cleanliness. I didn't see the employee wash her hands, and her hair occasionally fell down into the work space. I LOVE THE SERVICE. When the boss is the man that sits in the front when you walk in not the woman. I go here once a month to unwind after a long day of work. I call this morning to make an appointment and get told a different price for gel after these two different nail stylists had worked very hard on both my manicure and pedicure. If these two had not done a great job I would have refused to pay. I called twice this morning to schedule an appointment and a second time for a gel mani and a regular pedi. Over the phone I was told my total was 31. After getting my nails completely finished the lady who I spoke to this morning claims I had asked about a gel pedicure this morning. Basically telling me had I asked for the commonly more expensive I'd be paying less. WHY WOULD I ASK YOU FOR A GEL PEDI WHEN I NEVER GET A GEL PEDI I ASKED. BUT SHE INSISTED I ASKED ABOUT A gel pedicure and gel manicure but this woman didn't feel the need to ask me if I wanted the different pedicure from the one I had asked for this morning when making my appointment. Like I said wouldn't have paid them a cent if the two women hadn't have done a great job on my nails. But that's horrible customer service. I'm sure if the man that is always there was there he would have told me the correct price on the phone or admitted he had made an error. That's just wrong I usually take cash, what if I didn't bring enough that would have cut out of the tip the two doing my nails deserve. Instead of 31 plus a 5$ tip for one person I spent 37 plus 6$ tip 3 for each. That is a bad nail trip to me. read more

I started going to this place a few months ago to try their powder gel and a pedicure after I moved to the neighborhood. I loved both. I wanted to put back acrylics and went back to my old salon (I had not had acrylics on for a few years). I realized my old salon was not great and I decided to see a new person at this salon. I have now had Cindy do my full set and fillin with gel and I am very pleased with how she does them. It has been about 6 weeks since I have had a fillin due to the quarantine, and they still look great. Aside from my nails growing out they held very well. This is the first time that I have struggled to remove my nails. I would definitely recommend getting them done here. Anna does the powder gel amazingly and just how you want them. If I were still getting that on my nails I would have continued to see her. I have also never had a bad experience while getting a pedicure. So my girl has got me into getting mani pedis and I must say I'm now a huge fan. As a grown ass man I have found I truly enjoy pampering myself, and this is one of my favorite ways to do so. This particular place takes excellent care of you at a very reasonable price. I am no expert by any means, but this has been the best experience I've had. Between the calf scrub, massage chair and the actual mani pedi I was fully satisfied. I probably wouldn't give this review if I still lived in NY because I probably lost all street cred , but I'm a huge fan of this place. Excellent work done by Amy (? I think that was her name?). I got an acrylic fill. I showed a picture of the shape that I wanted and she went for it. She checked with me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and then tweaked based on my feedback. I'm so used to getting fill ins with no manicure aspects (no hot towel, no lotion, etc) but she did those things---definitely worth $16!
