I have now been coming to Blossom Nails for a couple months and after trying several other nail salons in the Commack / Dix Hills area, I must say this is the best one. The women that work here are kind, so sweet and do great quality work. My gel manicure will last 3+ weeks. They are never rushing you out, as it's not that type of factory like nail salon. I haven't been here for a while but with the new management it's a completely different place! It has a warm, welcoming, friendly, clean environment that makes me want to bring my whole family along. I think this place might have moved, the review is for the one near the Rockville Centre stop. Thinking about this place makes me gitty! After a week of walking through Boston and New York, I needed to give my tired feet a break. My friend recommended this place and I though she was kidding. It was better than those $100 spas in LA, Vegas, etc. Ok, here we go.... the spa/pedi chairs were the most comfortably large plush chairs. It didn't vibrate and shake you all over but gave a massage that rivaled human hands. The pedicure turned out AMAZING. Then you move to the manicure table where instead of soaking your nails in water, they gently massaged your cuticles with oil and pushed them back before trimming. As you're getting your nails done, a nice man comes over and starts rubbing your shoulders, with a hot rock or his hands in my case because I was knotted up pretzel! He wasn't afraid to use pressure to really help with the knots which was refreshing as most "free" massages are basically a pat on the back. The manicure turned out GREAT. THEN you move to the drying station, where it's not an extra charge to use the lamp and fan, AND the guy comes BACK for a second round of massage. SERIOUSLY. Did I mention that price was $28? Sooo...needless to say, if this place existed in LA the cost would easily be 3x or even 4x as much and frankly wouldn't be a bad deal for that type of service at that. But simply I'm unaware of it. The staff are so rude. I went to get acrylics and the lady didn't even ask before she started cutting and cut them way shorter than I'd like. I asked for coffin shape and I had to ask her to do it again because it looked terrible. She insisted on everything that was done. She did everything very sloppy. They rush through everything and they only care for tips. I just got them done and they look like I'll need a fill soon. Just these acrylics costed me $60 they over price their services. read more

TERRIBLE experience. If I could give a lower star I would. I had gone here to get my nails done before prom. I understand it was the day before prom in my school, but I had called and asked if there was availability for me and the lady who attended my phone call (she seemed in charge) said yes and I had went there to get French nails with a design. There was a lady who filed and prepared my nails, then transferred me over to the lady who had attended my phone call and who seemed in charge. She was so rude. In an attempt at "grabbing" all the customers that came to her and making the most money, she only wanted to do French on every girl that came, as it must have been easy and quick for her so she would finish early then go to the next customer. Even though they are not very expensive, you'd rather go to a salon with higher rates and better service who will actually nicely do your nails that would maintain longer. When I told the lady I wanted design she started yelling at me and saying "No, no keep it this way, this natural natural natural." I'm paying for my nails so please do them as I want and don't do them as you want. She was so rude. She started whispering something under her breath in a language I could not understand and only a fool would not realize she would have been cursing me out for requesting a design for which I was going to pay for! Never going back here again. The ladies are rude and impersonal, they only care about tips. They overbook appointments and rush through their job just to get it done and get you out of there. Last time I was there (the last time ever) the lady came over while I was drying my nails and shut the fan off because "too loud". The time before that, I was getting my eyebrows done and a gem of a lady pointed out that I had acne (as if I was unaware). Just avoid this place at all costs, the lack of manners and watered down polishes aren't worth your money. Trust me, you'll regret everything mid-manicure, feel obligated to tip anyway, and get rushed out the door. If you're looking to get a nice relaxing pedicure or your nails done let me just say that Blossom nails is NOT the place . They are rude , they don't clean the implements, they rush you so fast that no sooner are you in the chair you are out . There was no foot massage , or massage while you are drying , they have the poorest selection of colors and on top of that they are old and watered down . Every one of the women are rude , nasty and their quality of work is awful . Even with the closing of Say me nails which is a stones throw away they are still dead in there . There are so many other nail salons around that are good donot waste your money here . One other thing while trying very nicely to convey to the owner Mary about not being happy instead of trying to make it better she was also nasty rude and very unprofessional. I called on a Sunday and asked what time they were open til. She said 5:30, I asked if I could come at 4:30.. she told me to come at 5. I arrived early, I had Rosa. She rushed through my gel manicure and when she was almost done I said " you didn't do my cuticles " to which she replied next time come early, we close now. They have a manicure-pedicure special Monday to Wednesday - sorry, the special rate presently escapes my mind but it isn't over $25 - and they do a fantastic job. My French manicure lasts a week and my French pedicure lasts two weeks. (To provide a frame of reference: I don't use my hands to work but I do cook almost daily and rinse dishes for the dishwasher without gloves.) Also, they give a quick, hot towel (placed flat inside a thin plastic bag) massage for free. This massage won't work out any kinks you may have in your shoulders/upper back but it is a nice free treat. The staff is friendly and the salon lacks the gossip-y atmosphere most other nail salons seem to have. Lastly, I generally don't make an appointment but their facility isn't too large so I recommend making one especially if you go during a salon's busy hours. read more

This place deserves no stars. It's dirty and decrepit, the women there are older and very mean, there's no point in making an appointment because they make you wait anyway. I had a 230 appointment one Saturday, and I sat for an hour waiting. I tried to ask if I'm going to be taken soon, and they said "one minute". 10 minutes after that they had me sit down. I wanted to have a fill-in for my acrylic nails and it took her 20 minutes to file and scrape four nails. I asked the lady if it was her first time and she ignored me. I asked another woman and she said "she know what she doing!" In a very nasty tone.
