I have needed glasses for a very long time and just kept putting it off. After doing some research I determined LensCrafters was my best option based on my insurance and AARP membership. I couldn't have made a better choice. I knew there was a location at Towne Center so my friend who was nice enough to take me since I am not cleared to drive yet after having Surgery on my right hand, put the address in her cars navigation system and off we went. After some GPS confusion and a call to the business for direction, we finally arrived. Located on the corner of Constitution and Main with the entrance of the store on Main. We were greeted immediately upon entering and helped by a very nice employee named Lilly. She allowed plenty of time to look around and choose frames I liked and she even provided a tray with numerous dividers to place my frame choices in. After looking through and making my frame choices, we sat down at the fitting table. Lilly, my friend and even the other employee were very helpful with helping me choose the right frame. Liking the shape of one but not the color, Lilly told me she had that frame in another color and the other employee handed me the new color frame almost before Lilly finished her sentence. Talk about a group effort! After checking my insurance benefits, Lilly indicated a LensCrafters discount would be a much better deal for me. After going through the lens specifications on my prescription and giving me options that would be more economical for me, we were ready to order my glasses. This experience was went so smoothly, I couldn't have been more pleased. If you need glasses, I highly recommend LensCrafters. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. When I walked in, Trung immediately came across as unwelcoming and gave off a very negative attitude. I did not feel greeted or welcomed as a customer. I eventually told him that, if I were a mystery shopper evaluating the customer service, I would not have been impressed with the experience. Rather than addressing my concerns, he told me that I was being rude. I also noticed that Lillian did not greet me or make any effort to engage with me during my visit. She remained in the background for the entire interaction. I made sure to get both of their names because I believe customer service should be taken seriously. Unfortunately, the experience matched several of the negative reviews I had already seen about this location. Trung, who I understand is an optician lead/original store manager, was particularly unpleasant to interact with. I would highly recommend considering another location if you are looking for a welcoming and professional customer-service experience. read more

LensCrafters, once located in a multi business out parcel center on the site now occupied by Shake Shack, was really difficult to find. The old location, on the corner of Constitution & Virginia Beach Boulevard. must have still been listed as the address in my GPS. It kept leading me into that parking lot. Finally my friend, who I was taking to purchase glasses, called for directions. The current location is directly across Constitution, occupying the end of a building at Town Center with an entrance on Main Street. It was easy to park where we were and walk across the street to LensCrafters. The store is beautiful with an aesthetic exterior, as is required for all the businesses at Town Center. I've passed it a plethora of times on my way to the back entrance of my bank. It blends in with the area decor so nicely that I never noticed it was there. That isn't a bad thing because I no longer require eyeglasses. If I still did I probably would have noticed the store. The interior was clean, spacious and laid out nicely. Frame displays were well spaced with plenty of room to browse. We were greeted by a friendly employee who provided my friend with a box with spaces in which to put frames that interested her. After filling the box we proceeded to the fitting table. Lilly was very helpful in adding input to the opinion of my friend and myself. One frame was the perfect shape for her face but was in a color that wasn't. Lilly indicated that she had the frame in a different color, which turned out to be just right. She went through the different options for the lens that would fit the prescribed requirements, offering economical options to provide the solutions needed. Even though my friend's insurance provided a discount, Lilly found a LensCrafter's discount that was less costly than using insurance. This was a great experience with wonderful choices and customer service. If I still had to wear glasses, I would most certainly choose LensCrafters for my purchase. read more

This place was great! Tons of mirrors, and a good amount of options. I went to Costco real quick to see if I could find any better frames, but they have the smallest selection I've ever seen. So, I came back and they still had my box of glasses I picked out from earlier, which was really awesome. The staff were nice and assisted with picking out my frames. The whole process of checking out and adding insurance was easy as well. The eye doctor also helped me understand my eyes better. I feel bummed I'll never see properly, but at least I have a go-to place for that now :) read more

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. Store front and eye doctor are located together which is a true lifesaver after the day we have had! Long story short: My friend was visiting from out of town and her contacts went down the drain. Friend needed new contacts but had trouble since this wasn't her primary doctor. After going back and forth between her primary doctor and many eye stores, we were finally able to visit the LensCrafters eye doctor and get forms signed and sent back and forth so she could get new contacts. The process was a little confusing, but we made it through. Didn't catch her name, but the eye doctor assistant with the red hair was beyond helpful. She was pretty easy going, which reassured the situation could and would get handled. She helped my friend after our hours long hunt and we walked out with some contacts! read more

This location was pretty central - it's in the same parking lot at the Regal Cinema at Town Center near Bed Bath and Beyond and Barnes and Noble. I chose to come here because I wanted to find a local place that could make my lenses on-site. I've gone to considerable effort to get a specific pair of Tiffany and Co. frames I found and liked and I just didn't feel comfortable having these rare frames shipped off to VSP's (my crappy eye insurance company) warehouse because I've heard terrible things about that. I chose to pay out of pocket for the lenses but they carefully measured my face with their digital system (it's pretty high-tech and cool) and gave me back my frames to keep until they call me and notify me that my lenses are in. I chose the HD, anti-glare, polycarbonate so without insurance they were around $340. Pretty expensive huh? The gal helping me was pretty dry. She seemed efficient but not at all personable. She was all about business. She didn't crack a smile the entire time and didn't seem to have any empathy. She wasn't outwardly rude to me - but she wasn't very nice either. I hope everything is OK and they don't scratch my frames when I bring them in in 7-10 days to have the lenses installed. We shall see. read more

I really enjoyed my visit and care here today. Rachel was so sweet and attentive. She's very knowledgeable of the items and steered me right where I needed to be. She was helpful in helping me pick frames. She's was quick yet thorough and efficient. I really liked this location in town center. Great view. Easy parking. Will definitely shop here for all my glasses needs. read more

I've been using this location for @7 years. I love the selection, I love the deals, and I love that they know me. They have helped me save money. Last night I saved ALOT on new glasses. Sometimes with sales its cheaper to get new rather than replace lenses. As an accountant I liked that I was shown the math both ways. I'm very happy with this store. I'm going to keep going back. read more

Places like this are a dying breed with websites now poping up all over to offer you much lower prices on glasses and perceptions. The staff here seemed kind of clueless, Most of the staff is to busy hard selling or fumbling over the computer systems. The dirty little secret in this place is most of the frames are ALL THE SAME, and made by the same giant company that has a monopoly on the whole process from frames to lens. Please Enjoy this video that highly explains what im talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7H-_8UkmFU Most lens sold here and other Eye stores, are made by one company. Luxotica read more

Wouldn't let me purchase a second pair of glasses was trying to force me to get another eye exam. I was happy with what I have for a prescription just wanted a second pair and was will to pay the 400 plus dollars like last pair I bought was refused unless I seen the doctor. What a scam to make more money. The girl who waited on me was rude. I asked her for the customer service number she stuck her nose up and walked away from me I had to then walk to her at the counter and get the phone number . Not only did they lose my business but my family's and friends I will post this review we're I can . Horrible customer service . They really need some training. read more

The doctor is excellent but the store is awful. Do not get transitional glasses the tent is awful and its standard for them not to transition in a vehicle, if you want that you have to pay extra. The buy one get one half off is not a real discounr, for 2 pairs it cost me right under $1000 and I can't wear the glasses in my car on a sunny day read more

When I walked in to make an appointment for an eye exam, there was one person seated and two ladies at the counter talking to the two receptionists. One lady had questions about her insurance with the female receptionist and the lady was having a discussion about hand creams with the male receptionist. I waited patiently for my turn. I stood politely behind the hand cream lady. Then a family of 6 people walked in and the hand cream lady says "oh looks like you're busy" and the male receptionist immediately took the family ahead of me. Was I not dressed well enough for you? I was wearing khakis and a polo shirt, did the Cubs baseball cap insult you? I have insurance and $1000 set aside for new glasses. Guess which company won't be getting it? read more

This location is in the same group of businesses as the Barnes and Nobles and Bed Bath and Beyond. I always like Lenscrafters. They have very nice sales people who are always willing to fix your glasses even if you don't want to purchase anything. Thus location was fairly busy when we went at 6 but we were helped very quickly. read more

Desperately needed new glasses, came here with my new prescription, the associates were super helpful and not at all pushy or hovering over me, they gave me a tray and let me look as long as I wanted until I found the perfect pair, the only downside was there's no lady so you'll end up waiting a week for your new glasses. read more

Went there Saturday 4/11 at 430 and knocked on the door due to the coronavirus. They saw me and wouldn't come to the door. Stood there for 15 minutes and they never came. Nobody else in the store. Glasses are broken and I can't get help. Probably not the best time to turn away customers. I am done with Lenscrafters and the whole Luxottica racket. read more

My boyfriend and a couple of my friends went into LensCrafters around 7:17pm to get my boyfriend some new lenses because he accidentally placed them somewhere and he stepped on them. So, all of us decided to help him pick some nice lenses before he heads back to TN. It took him about 20 minutes to find some other lenses he wanted and while we were waiting for him to finish up we were just checking glasses out in the mirrors and what not and i have no clue if one of the ladies who helped my boyfriend was getting angry that we were still waiting for him to finish up but either she turned off the lights or they just cut off at exactly 7:43. Now trust me, i understand how retail works because my mother works in retail and i also understand that you have to wait until everyone is out of the store to begin closing up. i just think it's a little ridiculous how they could've asked us politely to leave but instead they turned off the lights and some what forced us to leave. read more

Awful, awful, awful!! I went there to have new lenses put in my frames. After a week, I had the lenses back but they were faulty. There were two big, blurry lines going across them. I went back to tell them this and they cleaned my glasses over and over and insisted I would get used to them even though I told them it wasn't an actual smear ON the lenses. I left just to please them because I was planning on going somewhere else. After showing my lenses to multiple people who all saw the lines, I went back the next day. Once again, they stood there and cleaned my glasses over and over while I waited. Three employees claimed they couldn't see the lines (which bothered my vision and gave me headaches). I finally spoke to someone in a lab coat who was very snippy with me about there being nothing on the lenses but finally gave in to getting me new ones. After waiting another week, I went back to have my lenses put in during my lunch break. After waiting 1 1/2 hours as opposed to the 45 minutes they told me, I tried on the glasses and rushed out because I was so late getting back to work. I'm now noticing that they're very crooked and messing up my vision again. I am very angry and absolutely dreading dealing with these people again! read more
