The personnel are quite knowledgeable and helpful, although phone verification on lens availability missed key elements in the prescription and resulted in a long, wasted trip. This is not Lenscrafters as we knew it. It has a very limited lab. It can only do single vision lenses with mild corrections and almost no astigmatism. Anything more than -2.00, bifocals, and progressives go to a lab and you're talking one week (if lucky) not one hour. I've been going to the same eye dr for a while at your Towson, MD location. They had to cancel today, sick child and I'm a peds nurse so i get it, but Nigel on the phone was so incredibly rude. He kept trying to say they were going to get a remote dr in. How does someone have a telehealth eye appointment? He couldn't answer that question for me. Is there a qualified person to use the equipment for the Dr? He couldn't answer that question for me. When explained that's not an option I'm comfortable with he just said "I'll inform the medical team of that." And when asked if he can help reschedule he snippingly said something and put me on hold, without asking/informing me. I ended up hanging up. Called back and spoke to a female employee who didn't even want to give me Nigil's name, until i brought up the fact I've seen this provider several times. I'm literally only going to this Lens Crafters for Dr. Tariq, last few years I've purchased my glasses at Visionworks or Warby Parker who both offer eye exams, but these two associates will be the reason i leave her at this practice. read more

Struggling to see...or maybe you just need an eye exam to check in on your eye health. Well this is a great location to get that taken care of. Dr. Tariq is an amazing eye doctor. She truly will listen to what you are dealing with and will take time to work through what you are telling her during your exam. My year was up and the doctor at the previous location I was going was out on long term leave, so I decided to come here to check out the glasses since this location had the pair that I wanted anyway. Suzanne assisted me and raved about Dr. Tariq so I booked an appointment for the following day to come see her. Best decision because again she is amazing! The hardest part here is selecting my top two favorite pairs. They normally have the name brand and odd shaped frames and that is what I look for. They have from a basic frame to a Gucci, Versace, even Prada frame. The list can go on. So as I am looking around I have about 7 glasses that I love...but was able to narrow it down to 2. After my insurance and the discount I was able to walk out knowing my glasses would be taken care of in about a week. Received the text message and they followed up with a call to notify me my glasses were ready. As soon as I make it there the glasses were ready and I was told to slowing start wearing them just so I don't get a headache or anything. Well the following day I tried one pair and it felt like I was drunk wearing them. So took them back for them to check the lenses and in fact there was an issue. So they again order a new pair of lenses and notified me via text when they were ready. Fast forward to picking up the glasses with the new frames and we are good to go! All in all, this is a great location. Dr. Tariq is a reason I will definitely come back. Miss Kim and miss Suzanne are both amazing women! If you can actually speak to someone, the staff is super helpful, accommodating, and nice. The issue is that they're understaffed at key times. I've tried calling over the past three days for a simple order status request, and there is nobody in there monitoring the phones. I've called easily 20 times at all business hours, selecting a different menu item and hoping to be redirected too. Incredibly frustrating but again--the staff is great if they're there and you can actually speak to them. read more

The customer service is great but over the last year and a half I've been there three separate times and seen two different doctors and they have given me the wrong contact prescription EVERY TIME. I have had to go to other locations to get it corrected before--unfortunately I don't think I would ever come here again. read more

Lenscrafters could not have been more helpful. They fulfilled the lenses prescribed by my eye doctor even though the prescription wasn't quite right for the usage. There was confusion between the eye doctor's office and the MVA which had included a vision restriction on my license that was not appropriate. The long and short of this mix-up was that Lenscrafters accepted the frames and lenses in return for a full refund within the first thirty days, as per their policy. Should I need glasses in the future, I will certainly use Lenscrafters for my vision needs. I would recommend them highly. read more

They also worked out the best deal for purchasing several glasses (which gets expensive!). The doctor who did my exam was thorough and really thought through her examination, also very kind. Dr. Seyboth OD and his staff in his office are top notch. The doctor was thorough in his examination. They have the newest technology in their office. I was amazed by the level of professionalism and understanding he has. I finally came up for my next eye exam and I had my year old glasses reviewed by the Dr because after a day or so of wear they gave me headaches. He said the progressive lenses were crooked and the near vision was too high so I had to slide them down my nose to see far. All around screwed up. Let the buyer be very aware here. read more

I visited there for the first time, normally go to White Marsh location. The associates acted friendly enough, but my senses picked up her phony demeanor. When the first young lady came over to me to ask could she help me, I informed her that I just wanted to look at their frames. She replied ok fine, let me know if you need me or if she help me further. She went away. About three-five hot minutes later, she returned as if the frames on display were total dis awry, not so. This made me uncomfortable and I felt as if she came to watch my every move, she was so obvious. I ignored her but kept right on looking and trying on several frames then returned them neatly to where I had removed them. Ok, so she leaves my right side, and I continue moving toward the left and repeating my actions. Then I happen to choose a pair of reddish-burgundy frames, but quickly returned them to their place because after trying them on, not for me. Next thing I hear is a different voice, that said to me enthusiastically, "try those red ones on again", so I did and quickly removed them. She then said "you don't like those, I think they look nice on you" no I didn't. Anyway she closes in on me so much that she threatened my personal space. I had the feeling that she was sent to watch me! I really started to call her out on this, but I just ignored her and kept on looking and trying on frames as if I were unaware. She asked if I had a Rx with me. I told her I was wearing my Rx for the eyeglasses I was wearing was less than a week old, but I did have my Rx inside a little bag I was carry that had my little Lens Crafters bag, written Rx, as well as the case to my glasses, and another case with my old eyeglasses. I was continuing my hunt because I wasn't totally satisfied with my new purchase and decided to look at this location for other frame because I like getting new eyeglasses in one day. So as I continued looking, I gathered up about six frames because their tray holds four and sat down and commenced to eliminate what I felt wasn't flattering. Here comes the second lady again flopping down in the chair starting up some phony conversation. Now I begin asking her questions regarding when they receive their new shipment. So now I needed her help, she was very uninformative, evasive, and couldn't give me a straight answer. Even went on to say that when their new shipment arrives she couldn't say when they "would get around to placing them on display". I asked her several questions approximately what day, and if it was Wednesday, would the new ones be put out by that afternoon? Or Thursday? Or Friday? By Saturday? She didn't know when they would get around to it. I just didn't like their attitude toward me, other people were there and not treated like this. When I go to White Marsh, you are treated with respect, and if you don't need any help at the time they ask, you are offered their service for later if needed. They leave you to your Independence to freely look, and given a holding eyeglass tray. I don't know what all that foolishness was about at TTC, maybe they have lots of theft there, but I won't return. They can't even answer a question!!! read more

I've been getting my eyes examined here for 20 years. If you are also an old customer (or even if not), there are things you should know. Dr. Seyboth is gone and the old business model has changed--everyone in the doctor's office is now a Lenscrafters employee. They have none of the old records. They no longer take Blue Cross Blue Shield, something that was not explained to me until the very end of my visit, which I would call more than slightly dishonest (I had given them all my info online, then filled it out on a form in the office, and the assistant even photocopied my insurance card!). After your exam, they take you INTO Lenscrafters and hand you over to a salesperson. Seriously. In other words, there isn't even a pretense of this being just an eye exam. However, I thought the new doctor (I believe her name is Dr. Tariq) was great. In fact, I like her quite a bit better than I did Seyboth. I also think the sales associate I was passed along to in the store knew her stuff. So, I have mixed feelings. Lenscrafters is not going to suddenly turn into your friendly neighborhood shop--it's a huge corporation, with all the ugliness that entails. They are overpriced, obviously, but that's not news either. They're also convenient. Given that I could have gotten my eye exam for free elsewhere, I probably won't be back. But if you don't have insurance and don't mind having to deal with an eyeglasses salesperson after your eye exam, this location is still a good choice, primarily because of the doctor. read more

I tried to replace my lenses on my current frames which I had purchased at LensCrafters. I first tried to get a quote from a sales associate there on how much it would cost to replace my lenses given my insurance carrier - the woman helping me insisted that this was not worth looking in to, and that I should just order the new lenses and receive the bill at a later time. After insisting that I would like to have the price quote she requested to take a look at my frames. She took them to the back, came back approximately 30 seconds later and said that my frames were too old and weak to have the lenses replaced. She informed me that instead I would have to purchase new frames from LensCrafters. My frames are in great condition - I found another location that will replace my lenses at a fraction of the cost. I will never shop LensCrafters again. read more
