I originally saw the doctor on the right side & she was just ok, but the staff was really down to earth...they chatted w me while the doctor was running late for my virtual appointment. For the left side (where they sell glasses) I absolutely love coming here. I typically visit a local eye doctor but for some reason my bill is always astronomical with insurance included. Lenscrafters always has an addtl deal on top of insurance or sending deals to my email. The staff has been wonderful to work with - have purchased 2 pairs of meta glasses w prescription & contacts. Arrives quick and can have contacts delivered to my door (unlike my other eye doctor) read more

Lenscrafters in Stony Point customer service exceeded expectations. When I arrived, I was greeted by two young ladies immediately awaiting to assist me. I had to have the lens put in a new frame that I purchased, and the work was A+. In addition, I recently purchased a pair of Meta Ray Bans, and they shared with me all of the features. Stay away from this lenscrafters. The Dr here Donald White, is an awful person. As soon as I came in for the initial appointment he was off. It seemed like I was more of an inconvenience to him. He wanted me to do the dilation, but I was unable to do it, and I didn't wish to have it done at that time. He hurried through my appointment and said that my lenses would be ready in 3 weeks. FF to 3 weeks when I had to call to see if the lenses were ready. Was told by the receptionist that they just came in, so we scheduled the fitting appointment. They day of my appointment, the male receptionist called and stated they had gotten in the wrong set of contacts and they could rush them in so we could do an appointment that Friday (this was a monday). Whe scheduled it for Friday 11/8/2024 @ 12pm. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment. There was another lady being helped by the "Dr." when I came in. The 2 receptionists were on their personal phones and barely said a word or looked up. When he (Donald) was done, he came out and looked at a book and went back into the side room. The female got up and asked him if he was ready and he said no. He looked over information came back out with her and went back in. A few moments later, he came back to get me and take me into the side room. Once inside, he said "The lenses they sent us are not the correct ones, but maybe we can work with them." I asked "Why didn't anyone call me to tell me they were wrong again, and why did they keep getting messed up?" It was then that he really seemed off and said "I don't know! We can try and work with these. Put these in and see how they are." Then walked out. I have CPTSD and this situation was sending me into a stress response. The contacts were giving me a hard time so I was talking to myself (something I often do to relieve stress) and he popped his head in the room and said very sternly "Did you say something?" I responded " No. I am talking to myself having trouble with the lenses." Then he walked to the back room. He came back a few minutes later where I could NOT see a thing. The lenses were so blurry it was like not even having lenses in at all. I tried to explain to him that these lenses were not working and that if he could just copy last years rx, I would be on my way. He said he didn't have that information. They don't share that information and then left the room. I had no idea where he went or why he left the room. I was in the room by myself, unable to see for a few minutes so I decided to go check to see if we were done. He was at the reception desk chatting with them and turned to glare at me and ask what I needed. I asked if we were done and he very rudely stated that "I was just talking to my staff. Is that ok?" I walked back to the room in a panic and not knowing what to do. I just wanted to get my lenses and go. I sent my husband a text and my son asking them to find my lense box and send me a picture. When he came back in he told me to go back to the other room to try another pair. He gave me another pair to try and left me to sit while my "eyes adjusted." They never did. Those lenses were worse than the first pair he tried me on. When he came back to take me to the other room I told him that these were so much worse and please just let me have my old rx. When I sat down I had been able to pull my rx from last year and thats when he said that he didn't feel comfortable working with me. He stated that I had been rude and loud since the very first day. I would like to know when during all of their mistakes, I got loud or rude. There were other patients and another employee from the glasses section, in the same room as us trying to get another customer an appointment. Wouldn't one of them have said something or heard me? Why didn't one of the 2 receptionists call me ANY of the times my lenses were ready? Or when they were wrong? Why wait until the day of the appointment to call me and tell me they were wrong. The, not even freaking call me when they are wrong again and I waste my time coming out there. Last year, the receptionist Meghan was on point. It was because of her, that I even came back to this store to begin with. They have an option to do it remote, and for my anxiety, that was the appointment I wanted. I asked this year, and even scheduled it for remote, but on the day of the appointment, this jerk was in there instead. I should have known at that moment. I have since asked for a refund for my exam since my reason for the exam was for contact lenses and I did not get contacts. I did get charged however for a worthless exam. I have contacted them and written 2 full responses like this one and I got crickets. Imagine that. So be warned. This entire place sucks. Lazy staff this year. The "Dr." is rude and does not like being questioned. Maybe an authority complex. What a joke he is instead. Just stay away if bad energy makes you anxious because this place (the exam office at least) is full of it. read more

The optometrist I saw here was the rudest most unprofessional medical person I've ever interacted with. Not to go into a rant but do yourself a favor and book an eye exam literally anywhere else. Also, fun fact... the offices connected to LensCrafters are not affiliated and seem unable or unwilling to get your previous prescription from other local offices. ‍ I left here with a bad prescription due to the doctor's impatience and now have to go get another eye exam elsewhere. The doctors connected to LensCrafters are awful with a capital A. They pick their own hours so it's not reliable. Also they have a new way of eye appointments..virtual which is an additional fee. Why are we paying extra because the doctor can't be on site? I prefer in person eye doctor. The contacts i was prescribed were not accurate either. Will not be coming back. They add a whole bunch of extra fees to get out of insurance money. Buyer beware read more

Initial sales experience was friendly,knowledgeable and efficient. 6 months after purchase accidentally stepped on glasses and thought I would have to replace (they really looked bad). My salesperson/tech skillfully repaired them while I waited. It's a true pleasure that some businesses still value customer experience and service: you can buy cheaper but here you get what you need. Horrible and I didn't even get serviced by them! I scheduled my eye exam online, the morning of the exam, I filled out my documents online for ease of service. I get there on time for my appointment (I live 30 minutes away) just for them to tell me my appointment was canceled. I said I have my confirmation and didn't get anything saying my appointment was cancelled. The associate told me her system says my appointment was canceled by the patient (me) via the app (I don't have the app nor did I cancel the appointment), then proceeds to tell me a certain piece of equipment I need for the appointment is down but they didn't call to inform me because the appointment was canceled anyway. Cool, I took it as an isolated incident and rebooked with them for that next week. They said they'll call me if anything changes regarding the machine. I requested for them to call me even if my appointment says cancelled the next time, she agreed to do so and rescheduled. The morning of my rescheduled appointment, I called to verify my appointment since I never received a call from them. Again, the associate said there isn't an appointment in the system, she put me on hold to check with the doctor. When she got back in the phone, she said sorry there is no appointment and the machine is still down. The doctor told her she called me and left a voicemail which I know nothing of the sort happened. I wasted 2 weeks of my time with this place now I have to book somewhere else and wait another 2-3 weeks just to see someone for this eye exam I should have already received. Wow, was surprised to see the low reviews of this LC. Then I saw they were OLD reviews. I moved back to Richmond in 2017. Being that I am hard in glasses I see these folks about once a month for an adjustment. Wife and I have worked with Karen and she is a delight! Highly recommend you ask for her. She loves her job, is detailed and professional. Wife and I have both bought new RX regular and RX sunglasses from her. Four pair total. LensCrafters is driving me CRAZY!!!! I cannot believe the poor customer service. Over the past couple of months I have bought and paid for 3 new pairs of glasses and today was my third trip there to pick up the 2 extra pairs: a back-up pair of glasses and the sunglasses. And even though the frames are identical, they still have not gotten the lenses manufactured correctly yet. So, I'm forced to wait another two weeks, without so much as an "I'm sorry. Whoops, we made a mistake." or anything. Meanwhile, they still have my money and I do not yet have the product that I've paid for. read more

Great selection of frames, including a variety of hard to find round and oval and high end designer frames. I don't live in Richmond but had been to this location and found a few pairs of frames I liked. Thought I could find the same selection closer to home, did they did not carry the same styles at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge or at Spotsylvania Mall in Fredericksburg. It was worth the 65 mile drive back to get what I wanted. Yes, you pay a bit more at Lenscrafters, but they provide exceptional customer service and now have the new "AccuFit" technology which uses a computer to precisely measure pupillary distance and height to ensure your prescription works right in the frames you select. That is super important, especially with progressive lenses. read more

Amazed at the level of professionalism that the store manager (Julie) and the sales associates have. It was as if I was part of there family they where amazing.they never pressured us into anything and let my teenager try on many different pairs until she found the best ones for her.this store is awesome and will be back for the other kids if they need glasses.
