had my glasses break a few times over the years, they always get it done fast and it didn't cost me a dime.

Booked the appointment days in advance and even got to the appointment 40mins early and was informed was not able to be seen until my scheduled appointment (Not a patient in sight during the visit). I acknowledge and informed I would return. Upon return I was 5-10 mins late due to attempting to locating parking, just to be told SORRY but you're too late for your appointment and the next appointment is within the next 10mins. NO empathy to attempt to reschedule the appointment and the feeling of not wanting me to be there. I kindly said ok no worries I locate services elsewhere. Found it LENS CRAFTERS from a google search that I did not know existed and not only was there parking, I was able to walk in and be seen that day even though the lobby was full of patrons. The feeling of been welcomed was a relief, will be HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this location for their willingness to assist, without been treated unwelcome, like the other location (VISION NOT WORK).

The last time I went to this office I was told to submit my own bill to the insurance company by…read morethe front offfice girl. I explained i have 2 primary insurance coverages where the other picks up all costs the first company doesn't. She insisted collecting a copay of $15 from me. I asked her are you really going to let a patient walk out of here and go to social media about this experience over $15 dollars. She could care less, so I walked. Over the years I have been a regular patient but Dr Magallanes has truly lost touch with what patients needs are. Can't keep a schedule and respect patients time. Ignorant to the fact of what their office policies do to their own customer and patient base. Ive lodged complaints with the BBB and with corporate Lenscrafters parent company. Be wise, find a truly transparent doctor that puts patients health care needs as a first priority, and visit the Lenscrafters store to shop for products once you have your prescription in hand.

Was able to come back about a week later, still a long wait, but finally got an eye exam. $200 after insurance. Then, a year later I get an automated email: "Please confirm your appointment by clicking the button below. We do not accept changes or cancellations via email. If you are unable to make this appointment, please call us to reschedule. Thank you!" Absurd. So now I have to call them for an appointment I never scheduled?? I'm sorry I ever went over there in the first place.

I've been a patient here for years, and have fond memories of Dr Waldorf and his warm & humorous…read morepersonality. Dr Hamel is also very personable and friendly. The front desk staff have varied over the years, and sadly, the last batch appears to have been misplaced: They collectively (and individually) have the personality and dispassionate guest-relations skills of stereotypical DMV workers. No more warm, smiling genuine greetings upon entering the office :( It seems like since they remodeled the office, the friendly front desk staff disappeared. I've tried to engage in a warm connection with this new batch of grumpy greeters, but got the bored look of a gen z (or is it y? I dunno...) looking at 'this smiling old lady' who wants to make friends? I wouldn't be surprised if they rolled their eyes at me once I turned my back. I recommend mixing it up and also hiring mature font desk folks who've lived and seen a little life, who understand and appreciate the customer service includes exuding warmth & compassion and a true interest in the patients who spend their money there. I would not encourage anyone to purchase their glasses at this establishment, because the staff is seemingly not trained in sizing frames to the face. They don't appear to know how progressive lenses need to be fitted to the eyes/face, and they are definitely not skilled at adjusting the newly arrived pair of glasses to the ears and nose - I know because all three of them made the attempt and did NOT give me glasses that function the way they should. I have to use my hands to lift my glasses up so I can see things on my laptop. Sadly, It felt like once they receive payment, there's not much incentive to provide a functioning product? Hundreds of dollars down the drain.... During my short time in the room with the Doc, I mentioned the problem with my glasses, but just got a disinterested 'Hum' in response... She was already on to other things....

She really knows her profession from what contact lenses are available in what increments to educating clients on eye care. Although Dr. Waldorf is no longer offering appointments the business continues to grow and I am delighted to see the office will be undergoing a bit of remodeling shortly. This will allow a greater offering of eye wear and a nicer waiting area. Look forward to seeing the new space at our next visit.

This mall was once *the place to shop! We visited years ago and Sears looked to be on it's way out…read moreand there were a few empty store fronts at that time. Now, it's more empty spots than occupied. The mall itself appears to be kept clean. Restrooms are older but clean. Light on the concourse seems to come exclusively through the sky light. Food court on third floor has Thai food and you can see Boston Pita just across the mall. Anchor stores include Macy's and JCPenney. Most of the high end stores remain like Holster , Abecrombie and Victoria Secret along with a fragrence and a sunglasses store. Other stores include FYI, The Children's Place and Newbury Comics. An escape room is also in residence, a nail kiosk by apppintment and eyebrow threading. Games are scattered along the mall concourse such as VR and Claw machines. It's really sad to see this once thriving mall so quiet. As we walked the floors I wondered if this could be turned into a multi-use building to include retail and food on the lower level, or on one side, and residential on the upper levels or opposite side. Plenty of parking, not too far from commuter rail, and super convenient for residents to have shopping and restaurants just out their door. Might even grow the retail options - Something similar to The Arcade in PVD. In a world in need of more housing it feels like a win for developers, the city, the stores and the residents imho.

But let me tell you why this mall is so helpless... THE BATHROOMS! I was here earlier and I needed to use the bathroom. I was in Macy's and found theirs, but the men's room was locked. A sign said I had to find an employee for assistance. The two I saw were busy with other customers and I didn't have time to wait, I needed to go. I trekked to the food court area where I used the bathroom there. This was neither sanitary or parliamentary! 1.) the toilets do not flush unless you hold down the handle for an extended period of time. HOORAY! 2.) there are three hand washing sinks yet only ONE of them was working, and only cold water was coming out. 3.) the hand dryers do not work! No paper towels either. So you walk out the bathroom with wet hands that didn't get properly cleaned due to the improper water temperature. It's probably a good thing many food spots left this place... I have yet to see a revitalization in progress. All I see is random vending machines that nobody pays attention to. Good luck!
