I don't think anyone particularly likes going in for their annual eye exam, but the team at Green…read moreHills Eyecare made our appointment as pain-free and pleasant as possible. Using their online portal, I scheduled exams for me and my husband around three weeks in advance. As with any doctor, I recommend double checking with your insurance company before booking to make sure you're covered. The Green Hills Eyecare team also followed up with me over the phone after I booked my appointments to confirm all of my insurance information and medical history. The office is located on the third floor of an easy-to-access medical building, complete with free parking. We arrived and filled out some paperwork, before beginning our exams. Hayley and Dr. Waymire were so friendly and knowledgable, offering helpful explanations to any and all of our questions. Bonus ... for anyone who hates that dreaded prick of air to dilate your eyes, you'll be pleased to know this office does things a little differently! We didn't purchase new frames this time around, but Mike the optician was happy to print out our prescriptions and provide some advice for future purchases. I absolutely recommend Green Hills Eyecare if you're in need of an eye exam - we look forward to returning for our next annual visit!

First time to Warby Parker. I went in hoping to get the nosepads on my glasses cleaned/repaired,…read moreand the ladies there helped me so much and ended up deep cleaning the area and replacing the nose pads. I walked out with brand new nosepads and I'm grateful to them.

Everyone at this Warby feels relatable, compassionate and willing to give you their time of day:…read morenot easy in this day and age where the economy feels like it's pressind down on everyday civilians. What I love about Warby is that they take both FSA and HSA. They also measure pupillary distance on the spot via their in-app, staff-operated iPads. Be sure to bring in your own, updated prescription if you want to purchase glasses that day. You can always update them later, but it makes it easier on everyone if you have a digital or hard copy. Adjustments are free, and they have low-bridge varieties for all my APIA/AAPI fam out there. Remember that sunglasses and glasses frames are pretty interchangeable for whichever one you prefer: they are all just frames. There is an optometrist on site (pun intended) if you need one and didn't have a prescription. Warby also does their own contact lenses, but I haven't tried them, so I can't really tell you much about them: only that they, like their frames, seem affordable. The only slightly tricky situation is parking. There is plenty of street parking should you choose to arrive on a random Tuesday midday. I imagine there would be less so on a busy Friday evening considering the many restaurants nearby. There is a paid lot, but they were renovating it when I was there.

I've worn glasses since I was in 2nd grade. I have extensive experience in the eye-checking arena…read more I was in need of an optometrist in Nashville, so of course I turned to the internet. Donelson Eye Care had the best reviews, and as a bonus they are right down the street from me. So I made my appointment and crossed my fingers. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! BEST -- THE BEST -- eye appointment I have ever had. By the time I left, I felt the entire staff were friends I'd known for year. Friendly, knowledgeable and caring. They have way better technology than any of my old optometrists had, and they took the time to explain every single test. I learned more about my eyes in half an hour than I'd learned in 20+ years. When they informed me my "month long" contacts were actually two-week contacts (I had no idea!) and I was wearing them too long... they weren't condescending, mean or rude. They told me gently and with a great sense of humor that didn't make me feel dumb at all. It was just a light bulb moment. I don't care where I may live in the middle Tennessee area... I will make the trip to Donelson Eye Care without hesitation. Love 'em!

Their prices are waaaay inflated. They also charged $1000 for a visit I thought I needed, come to find out it was definitely not the norm and extremely inflated. My tipping point, why I quit going... is bc they are inconsistent in their pricing. At first a visit was $160, then when I checked out, I only owed $40, that's good but...the doctor who knew exactly what I needed bc he sold contacts to me before and knew that's what I was currently wearing didn't give me my contacts prescription, that's ok I just call and ask for it..,nope...that will be $75 extra dollars. He knew I wasn't getting my contacts through him so he charged more. Get it together people! Charge same amount to every customer. You don't get to pick who gets charged more bc their instance pays you less or they decide to save money and get their contacts cheaper elsewhere. Quit taking advantage of people! SHAME!
