DOWNHILL!! Newbie employee couldnt even tell us which are women frames and which are men's. He mumbled horribly and was not shadowed by a seasoned employee. He could answer no questions. We were there forever, and left with his $900 quote ... and that was with a 50% discount and no blue light. Other employees were dealing with a customer unhappy with a quote they would not honor. Ageism is rampant at this location and we've been loyal customers for a decade. We walked away, and won't ever be back. We will tell our friends to stay away from this Firewheel location. read more

Let me start by saying, please read the reviews on every platform before using scheduling an appointment here. The doc was rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming, an absolute grotesque bedside manner. The so-called eye exam, if you want to call it that, lasted less than 2 minutes and in that time, he pushed my daughters' shoulders back 2x and he was completely dismissive of her responses. When i asked if my daughter needed new glasses/new prescription his response was condescending. He never gave a straight answer as to whether or not she needed a new pair of glasses. He never introduced himself nor did he ask my daughter's name. When I mentioned that my daughters school nurse informed me that my daughter failed her schools eye exam, his response was "well where is the paperwork to back that up, I will sign it". He appeared to be agitated that he was even having to give an eye exam. The worst part of this experience for my daughter was that he put his hands on my daughter shoulders and pushed her back. My daughter is Autistic and has a sensory processing disorder, so she was very uncomfortable being touched like that. What kind of eye doctor touches their patients that way, it was unsettling. Again, the whole 2min exam was an awful experience and grotesque. Please do not use this office, if you want stellar service please look elsewhere. If I could rate this as a -100 i would. I went to a reputable place and they told me that Lenscrafter first telling me something is free and Then charging money for it is shady business practices. I previously had a normal and pleasant experience here until I encountered a female employee by the name of Maria, who screamed at me for reiterating that I was picking up my glasses when she repeatedly asked me to give her my frames. Since they do not wear name tags, if you see an obese woman with facial piercings, she should be avoided at all costs. She thinks the customer should provide her with customer service and even asked me to smile after she had just berated me in front of the entire store. I liked Lenscrafters for their designer selection and ability to fill unique shaped frames with ease but I will look for a new place from now on. read more

My wife and I stopped by LensCrafters at Firewheel to get a quote on repairing her glasses after one the temples fell off and a screw was lost. My wife handed her glasses to John Peterson, who quickly put the glasses back together and handed them back to us. When my wife asked "what do I owe you", John responded "no charge". It may seem like a simple job, but the generous service really helped my wife (and myself as a byproduct). We will certainly shop at/recommend this LensCrafters in the future. read more

I went to Linda and boy did I get the best customer service ever! She picked out the cutest glasses that fit my face. She knew just the ones I needed to accommodate my prooooogrrrreeesssive lenses. Well today was a horrible experience at this location. If I could choose a star level that was a -10 rather than a 1-Star, they would have receive that. They are unprofessional and unethical in all manner of business. The women that's been there for a long time that spoke down to my wife, berated her over and over and humiliated her for her own sensationalism. She and they use intimidating tactics to attempt to blur your focus on what to do only to gain a sale. Extremely against a client satisfaction experience of which I would avoid at all cost. We certainly will not go back and will tell everyone we know that needs glasses of any type or eye exams, not to even walk into the doors of this location and if LC trains this type of behavior and practice - not to choose any of the other choice locations. read more

Woman who unlocked the doors upon opening had a poor attitude and required myself along with other customers to have an appointment to simply get frames tightened (which takes less than a minute). I needed glasses last minute. Every lenscrafters or any other eyeglass store I called was behind on orders and didn't have anything available same-day. I was about to abandon all hope until I went out on a limb and called this store - they had my prescription and could get my glasses made same day! I went in, and John took my information. He showed me the available frames and got me set up with Mussie for checkout. Both of them had great customer service and were so helpful! Once I chose my frames and paid for my glasses, Mussie asked John if he thought he could get them done in 30 minutes... John said "give me 15". John got them done in 10! They seemed genuinely excited to watch me try them on too - it felt good to be able to see again, and I really felt supported by their team there! Everyone was so friendly! read more

Let me start by saying I dont have an issue with the quality of the product. Its more an issue of trying to get the product in a timely matter. But in todays world of customer service, part of your product is the service. This is the second time I have gotten glasses crafted at this location, and for the second time in a row there is an issue. Both stem from communication. Im sorry to have to complain but if you dont know about a problem you cant get better at the service. The first time, My glasses were missing the Transition coating. They had to be remade. After that delay, I was made aware that my glasses were ready for pick up and I had let the associate know i would be there after work. Then i got to the location and the store closed early due to weather. Now I understand the circumstances due to ice on the roads but I also braved those same roads to get there knowing that I made a promise to pick them up. A call to me letting me know that they would close early would have been nice. I had a brief talk about the issue with the GM then. This time I had brought in Oakley frames I had purchased. The purchase and fitting went smoothly and I paid. Was told they would be ready 3 days later. 3 days later I get a call from Josh who im assuming to be the lens tech to let me know they would not be ready due to the lenses not beveled for the frame correctly and that they would have to be sent off and it would take 7 - 10 days. All due to the Lens bevel specs not entered correctly for the frame type. I didnt have to much of a problem with that since i brought them in and they were not part of your stock. I let Josh know that I would be in to try the glasses on to verify the prescription is correct before sending them off so we would not have to repeat the process if the prescription was wrong. That was on Tuesday. Its Friday and I just got a call from Josh and he was not aware that I was in to try the glasses on and he would NOW get around to overnight them. This is 4 days later with NO PROGRESS on my glasses. I will now have to wait an ADDITIONAL 7 to 10 Days for my glasses to arrive! Again a communication failure. This time between employees. To let the sales associates know that I would be in to test the lenses in the frame. And the Sales associate, who sold me the glasses, to let Josh know I had been in to try them. Now a huge delay again. Seeing how I have spent in excess of $400 for each pair, I would expect the level of service and professionalism to be alot higher than this. It seems from my perspective, that the series of miss steps is a pattern in a failure to communicate. I will not be purchasing another pair after this one at lenscrafters again and cant recommend them to anyone. read more

The people at LensCrafters Garland are especially great. As a "newb" to prescription lenses, they walked me through the process every step of the way. They were patient, informative and caring and answered all my questions. While my initial fitting on my first pair wasn't quite correct by the person who helped me, they welcomed me back and Linda was EXCELLENT in making sure all my focal points were properly set. Linda and Alecia are your "go-to" salespersons. They will give you the BEST service you can imagine. Went to the doctor next door Dr Pham!! and had my eyes tested. I didn't like him the first time I went. But he gave me a hell of a exam. My glasses were perfect. He told me you wearing some one else's glasses. When I went there for the first time. I had to go back for a second time. He looney but very knowledgeable and was better the second time. We came to get my fiancé some new glasses and our insurance was not cooperating with their system and it kept saying it couldn't find our plan. Everyone was super helpful and the store manager figured out our plan. We were there for so long dealing with this issue and the manager ended up giving us an extra $50 off our purchase on top of insurance and 40%. Lenscrafters wasn't bad but I made the mistake of going to Harry Pham, the optometrist next door who is associated with LensCrafters. Harry Pham was so condescending and a horrible communicator. It left a horrible impression on me and I will never go back to him again. I would have expected LensCrafters would associate with a better optometrist. I wish I had google him first before I blindly used LensCrafters recommendation. I would have seen what horrible reviews Harry Pham had. read more

I was very pleased with my recent experience with LensCrafters @ Firewheel Towne Center. Staff are very friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of frames, with a large range of cost per frame to fit any budget. I love Firewheel Towne Center anyway because you can often park at or near the door of each business; especially if you shop during the weekdays. And, if you must park in one of the lots, the walk thru the Firewheel "village" of shops and restaurants is so pleasant. I was apprehensive to say the least about glasses on this visit because, due to a brain injury, I'm now required to wear glasses with a prism all the time (all new to me, since i have only worn glasses for driving in the past). I knew ahead of time that prisms are difficult to get use to and that the prescription will more than likely have to be adjusted multiple times and may never completely resolve the double vision issue. So, I was a bit overwhelmed going in. But, not after meeting Laura. She was so helpful and kind. We got through the process fairly quickly and picked out some lovely frames. Delivery was just as expected - quick and smooth. I have 90 days to change my lenses as needed without additional cost and frame adjustments are free for the life of the frame. All in all, I'm very pleased with their service and product. read more

Customer service at this location is HORRIFIC, not terrific as others has said. I went to LC for the first time since starting to wear glasses 10 yr ago only because we changed insurance companies and my previous eye dr no longer took our insurance. Call me a creature of habit, but I have found a frame which I like, is light weight and nearly indestructible, however LC does not caring them. They carry frames from this manufacturer in children's but not adults. They said that I could bring in my own frames and that they would have no problems making the glasses. So that is what I did. I purchased my frames out of pocket, insurance not accepted where I bought them, and took them to LC @ Firewheel. A week later they were ready, or so I thought. Pick them up and everything seemed OK until I tried driving with them. There was a problem. I went back the same day I picked them up and talked with them about the trouble. We went next door and talked to the Dr and he tweaked the prescription. One week later they were ready again. This time the prescription was good and all seemed well. Three weeks pass and I discovered that there is something wrong with the fitment of one of the lenses. So I go back AGAIN, only this time, the only lady there to help customers does not want to listen to my concern. I explain that there is a small clicking in the left upper corner of the lens when the left arm is flexed. She takes it back to the tech and comes back and tries to tell me that it is the way the frames are made and it is the right lens hitting the nose bridge. She then proceeds to twist and crank on the nose bridge to demonstrate her opinion of the problem. First off, I DO NOT twist or crank on the bridge of my glasses like that ever, and second off I tell her that is not what I am talking about. So I show her again where the noise is coming from and tell her it is a slight popping noise. She tells me I'm wrong and takes them and cranks on them again. I tell her I don't do my glasses like that and it is not the noise I am talking about. She then tells me that this is where the noise is coming from. So let me get this straight, I wear the glasses every day for 3 weeks and can tell what is popping, but she can take them for a minute, and treat them like I never would, and then tell me I'm wrong, not once but three times. She was more interested in arguing with me than listening and trying to resolve the problem. I will be contacting LC corporate to discuss getting a refund on the 1yr warranty that I purchased when I got the made at LC @ Firewheel. What good is a warranty if they wont even take care of a small issue like this. read more

I ordered my frames in early December to get my frames before Christmas but was never called until January. Then was disappointed yet again because the frames had a smudge in the design which they tried to explain that is how the batch of frames were. That was a no-go for me as I had them reorder a new frame and again no calls until I showed up in person to complain. The frames that were anticipated for Christmas finally came together in March.
