I'm a new patient here and I'm very impressed. The staff were friendly and efficient while still being very thorough. Dr. Dau was excellent. She explained everything to me in detail and reviewed all of my options with me. I have never had such a thorough eye exam before and I feel very confident in my results. read more

Had an appointment and no one came and spoke or said anything for an hour. 4 patients showed up and went to the back but still no one spoke to us. Waited an hour for a 10:40 appointment. This is not the Chick Fil A of vision centers. Closer to Popeyes!! read more

Terrible experience make you feel like another pay check. Walked in and the receptionist was very disrespectful I already had a bad vibe. Then i waited for over an hour to see the doctor and he didn't spend more the. 3 minutes with me was very rude and tried making come back for another visit so he can make another check. I highly don't recommend this doctor as he seems like he's only about his money. read more

I have been a patient here for many years and never have any issues. I made an appointment to come see Dr. Suder this week and was called to see if I could see their newest doc, Lin, instead which I was happy to oblige. Arrived for my 11:00 appointment at 10:45 as instructed and checked in with no issue. Was asked to take a seat and I waited for 30 minutes. I became impatient and when asked, they said their system showed my appointment was at 11:30 which clearly was not what was on my text appointment reminder from their office. I showed them my appointment reminder text showing 11:00 and was told to wait and they'll bring me back shortly. Not an apology or anything which is unacceptable. Patients' times are valuable too and if there are issues, a simple apology would have suffice. May be looking for a new eye doctor after this. Ridiculous. read more

Dr. Suder is wonderfully kind, gentle, and patient! My favorite thing about her was how she was very thorough when examining and explaining the procedures used to check my vision. As someone who tends to feel a bit of social anxiety, I was able to feel very calm and informed thanks to Dr. Suder. Bonus: She loves purple too Highly recommend visiting her! ‍ Thankfully, the staff are wearing masks and cleaning after the patients. Pro Tip: Your exam may take longer than expected just because the eye exam is very thorough, as previously mentioned. So it's best to make sure your schedule is free and to not have another event soon after your appointment. read more

I can't say enough about Jamie! She's the best! We appreciated the time she took to get to know our needs and preferences, and to give expert advice on eyewear. She did not rush us and made sure we were happy with the choice and fit of our sunglasses. We loved that Jamie was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Customer service and experience is everything, and we appreciate the wonderful customer service that Jamie provides with a smile. This is exactly the reason why we have been loyal to North Garland Vision for the past 28 years. read more

Over priced and not very good service. I brought in my own frames and they charged me $800.00 for line free lens. They called me twice to say that they are done and I went to the shop and when I asked for my glasses at first they could not find them and when when they did they weren't ready. When I got home I looked at the lens very closely and saw a lens stamp on both the right and left lens. I think the lens are done off site. I also wanted the pads on my frames replaced and that was not done, As far as wanting doctor Bollish that gave me an eye exam before I got an exam from a "back up" doctor. Oh and after a few months went by I got and invoice in the mail saying that my insurance did not cover a test that they did. That was an extra $150.00 more! This vision center is a big pile of NOPE for me. You would be better off going to Wal Mart. read more

I truly would not go anywhere else! read more

I will have to try seeing them again next year since my fiance-to-be goes here and likes them very much. But my experience left a lot to be desired. When I tried to make an appointment with them, the earliest they could see me was three weeks out, which was almost two weeks past when I ran out of contacts. I made the appointment anyway based on the recommendation I had. The day of the appointment they called to cancel it because the Dr. was called out of the office. I didn't get the voice mail and took off work early to drive out to their office and they told me in person. The earliest appointment they could fit me in for was 10 days out on a Saturday morning. They didn't offer any discount or benefit to me for them cancelling at last minute. I was able to find an eye exam appointment with a different optometrist for earlier than the 10 days, so I called to cancel the new appointment. On the bright side, the office staff is very polite and friendly, and it does seem like they care about their patients. read more

Worst Eye Doctor Experience Ever - North Garland Vision. Recommend to avoid North Garland Vision on Shiloh Road. My father broke his glasses in May and tried to make an appointment and citing Covid-19 need for spacing of appointments they couldn't fit him in until June. Luckily his glasses were still under warranty so we replaced without an appointment, but later in early June made an appointment and again was told earliest would be nearly 30 days out on July 7th. A few days before the 7th I received the auto-text confirmation only to have the office call late the day before citing a 'schedule conflict'. Refused to divulge the nature of the conflict. Rescheduled for three weeks later 7/23 for 9:15. Again auto-text confirms a few days before but for 9:30. Didn't notice the time change so arrived at 9:00 this morning. Called the office and no answer even though there are people in the office. Try two more times 5 minutes apart, no answer. By this time, my father notices the door sign says hours on Thursdays are 10-7. I ask a worker (doctor?) walking by the car into the office to confirm and she says she'll ask the front staff but yes, opens at 10. Someone inside calls and says, actually we don't see an appointment for your father. No explanation for why the system would confirm for a non-existent appointment during closed hours. Acknowledges they noticed us sitting in the car parked right in front of the office - but apparently couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone or come out to say anything. So nearly 60 days, two days of work taken off, and they're telling me I'm mistaken about an appointment I texted my parents about minutes after I made it. Wouldn't let me talk to any of the doctors to voice my displeasure and get an explanation.I told her where she could go with her later-in-the-afternoon opening. read more

Dr. Sudder is a extremely helpful person often going out of her way for me and my family. Repair person actually took apart display glasses so I could have frames while mine were being repaired. I moved and still drive the 40 mins to get, because they actually seem to care about you. read more

We have used NGV for several years now, but never again! Regardless of your personal feelings on the mask issue, there are some people who cannot wear them because of genuine health reasons (like COPD, Heart conditions, etc.). That is why the government mandates provide a health exception. The Americans with Disabilities Act requires every public business to accommodate a person with a disability. Dr. Bollish and his staff are flat out refusing to see any one who will not put on a mask. And they are being very hateful and rude about it. If the masks work, then the fact that they all have theirs on would protect them even if one patient is unable to wear it. If a patient submits to a temperature check, and shows no symptoms, what-so-ever, it is actually illegal under the ADA for NGV to just refuse to provide any care to all patients who can't wear a mask. This is pretty despicable of a medical provider to refuse care to the disabled. read more

My daughter & I have been patients of Dr. Bolish for nearly 10 years. I have never had such great eye care in all of the years I have needed glasses. The staff is wonderful & go above & beyond to make sure your are well taken care of. My husband Bob sees Dr. Suder & just this year found that my husband had developed severe cataracts in a short period of time. She immediately got us to a specialist who was able to do surgery & now my husband is able to see without having to wear glasses at all. When he is finished with the follow-up care with the surgeon he will return to his yearly exams with Dr. Suder. You just can't go wrong with North Garland Vision. read more

Great experience overall. The experience started with the appointment made by Amy. She was sweet and helpful..I asked to be called if there were cancellations and she called 4 hours later to tell me they had an open slot. Debbie performed the initial tests- she has many many years of experience- quickly and efficiently. Dr Bollish was very thorough with his exam and clear with his explanations. He was patient with all my questions. Michelle in the eyewear department is very knowledgable. She had previously repaired some sunglasses for me, and her friendly customer service is what brought me back. I would highly recommend this practice. From the front desk staff to the comprehensive exam, the experience was A+! read more

I actually saw Dr. Bollish when I was younger, moved away and moved back and was excited to see Dr.Bollish was still practicing and was thrilled to be a return patient. I give Dr. Bollish a 5 star rating for his commitment and time with patients and I really like that he doesn't rush his patients. Dr. Bollish goes above and beyond to ensure his patients are happy. I recently had a situation arise and he was quick in correcting the problem and he worked to make things right. I will continue to shop local and recommend North Garland vision. read more

I went to m North Garland Vision for at least 20 years. I was a patient of Dr. Sudders' when she started out at Walmart Vision Center. I missed ONE APPOINTMENT due to a family emergency. I didn't have the number to call and cancel. Plus when a family is dying unexpectedly, calling your Dr to cancel your appt is the last thing you think of. So..if I want to make an appt with either eye dr at NORTH GARLAND VISION CENTER I have to pay a $40 deposit. FUCK THAT. So.. North Garland Vision Center can kiss my ass!!!! read more

Hubby & I came here for eye exams last week and this was our first visit. Staff and Dr. Suder were all extremely nice and helpful. North Garland Vision was recommended to us by a neighbor and we will definitely recommend it to family & friends as well! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Bollish since 1993. Even when I drove a truck around the country and lived 70 miles away in East Texas, I always made sure I saw him for my eye care. I have a special condition, and he has always went out of his way to help me overcome the issues caused by my condition. As long as I have a choice, I will always see Dr. Bollish for my eye care as will my family. read more

I wanted a thorough I exam and I did get that! However I was there for four hours which was exhausting. I felt they spent too much time with their state-of-the-art machinery and too little time testing my vision which resulted in me having to have my vision retested because of an incorrect prescription. All of that I could forgive but then I purchased a clip on sunglasses and I was unhappy with them. The office manager was very argumentative with me when I tried to return the clip-on sunglasses and then finally offered to give me partial payment back. For that reason I will never go back! They were able to keep their $50 bucks and have lost this new patient along with my family and friends! read more

This was my first eye exam, well, ever, but I was thoroughly impressed by North Garland Vision. The office is very welcoming and inviting, amenities like coffee and pastries were nice, and the staff, above all, was very nice and knowledgeable. I had an appointment with Dr. Bollish and will definitely be returning. My eye exam was quick, helpful, and I left knowing what my needs were and got set up with a pair of glasses at a reasonable price. If you live in the area, or even remotely close, make it a point to visit here. Yes, you may have to wait for an initial appointment, but I take that as a good thing, because it typically means that others are satisfied with the service they receive and are dedicated to coming here for their eye care needs. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Bollish since 2011; my son and husband see Dr. Suder, and are both very fond of her. The personalized service is excellent; Dr. Bollish is very patient, thorough and attentive. The entire staff, in my opinion, treat each patient (that I have seen) caringly, and take as much time to attend to you as you need. I have been going to North Garland Vision and seeing Dr. Suder for years! She is very thorough with her exam and explains everything that is going on with my eye sight in a clear and precise manner. Dr. Bollish is so kind, calm, capable, and sincerely concerned about his patient's eye health. Ten years ago I had lasik surgery (by a doctor in Plano that use to advertise a lot) that left me with fuzzy vision, zero ability to see at night, and halos around the moon, stars, and every light. I was told that I would never be able to wear contacts after lasik, so for seven years I believed that this was the best I would ever see. Not so! Dr. Bollish prescribed the perfect contacts for my eyes and I have been able to see clearly and comfortably (day and night) ever since. I feel like he has given me my sight back. read more
