I saw this doctor on September the 2nd I thought I was doing business with a competent physician and practice but I was wrong! I was told that I would receive my glasses in 10 working days. On the 18th of September I called to find out where my glasses were and they informed me they still didn't have them from the lab yet. A person by the name of Carla said that it wouldn't be until the 23rd of September before they would receive the glasses from the lab! This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with an optometrist! Do not use this optometrist if you want good service and customer care! Be forewarned you will not have a good experience! I ordered eye glasses from your store and received unreliable service and incompetence from your lab and front desk staff. When I came to your business to receive a refund for my glasses since your lab was not competent enough to make a simple pair of glasses you Brian Hembree were not man enough to come out of your office to face me and explain your business and staff and laboratory to be able to deliver a pair of glasses after 23 days! I have filed a complaint against you and your business with my insurance company and the Better Business Bureau for your incompetence to serve me as a patient and customer! You should be ashamed of yourself and should not be operating a business in the city of Garland Texas! Needless to say I will never enter the door of your business and I will let every person I know and every single person I can reach through social media to let them know what kind of business you are operating! You are the absolute worst Optometrist and eye care facility in the city of Garland Texas! You should probably find a different line of work and business as you are not worthy to provide eye care to the customer!

I bring my son here for his contact lenses so I'm familiar with Dr. Hill and his practice. Due to several eye surgeries, I'm now left with a very unusual prescription. I walked into Today's Vision and asked if they could fill my prescription. The girls behind the counter noted right away that it was not your basic run-of-the-mill script and needed to check with the doctor. A minute later she returns and says "No problem - we can fill it". Then Dr. Hill came out and asked if I've ever worn glasses with prisms and gave me some words of advice on what to expect. He was very nice and very knowledgeable. Although they didn't have a wide selection of designer frames, what they had was certainly adequate and I had no trouble finding a pair of suitable frames that looked great and wouldn't require me to take out a loan from my bank. The girl who verified my insurance was very thorough and even stated that I had "really good insurance coverage" (this is the 2nd time I've been told this). My glasses were ready in less than a week and after a quick adjustment, the person fitting my glasses said that if I had any problem with my perscription, to come back and see them and they would take care of it. Now THAT is excellent, hassle-free customer service! I got a great pair of glasses, wasn't overcharged, and left happy. Even if you don't live in the immediate Rockwall area, this place is worth the drive.

My first thought was to keep my services at the Frisco location, but my husband and I decided to try Rockwall EYECARE. That was a big mistake. These folks are terrible. They overcharge you and try to make u pay for the extras ur insurance company covers. They tried to charge me $240 for two boxes of contacts and $368 for four boxes... when I have a $350 allowance towards contacts. I have all extra tests covered and my eye exam at 100%. I returned the unopened boxes of contacts. I took my prescription and went back to my old EYECARE location in Frisco. I paid $110 for four boxes of contacts and also received a contact lens vendor rebate. When you try to tell them you have had the same benefits for years and never paid that much, they get rude and show lack of customer service. They even tried to overcharge my husband for his contacts and also told him that the extra services were not covered... and we have the exact same insurance. The doctor was amazing. However, the front desk was not knowledgeable and rude. The management was even worse. I totally recommend shopping around... they are definitely overcharging customers. I have referred friends and family to him as well over the years. In June, I was running low on contacts and due to financial reasons, I shopped around and found his contact prices to me significantly higher than Costco, so I called and asked him if he could fax them my RX. I could tell from his attitude on the phone that he was upset with me and said if I wanted the prescription, I'd have to come pick it up. I came the next day to retrieve the prescription and it wasn't until I left his office and I received the same attitude from him. After leaving, I saw that he had written at the bottom of the prescription stating that he would no longer see me as a patient longer be providing services or exams to me! His written comment was very blunt and surreal. I can't believe he would act that way after being his patient for so long and just because I asked for a written prescription for the FIRST time EVER, and he reacted so poorly. He took my financial situation, and my decision to shop elsewhere, personally. I liked him... I'm just very disappointed how unprofessional he was. Maybe he was having a bad couple of years days... hopefully he'll stop taking out his personal problems on his patients before he has no business left. Dr Schneider please do better.

Disappointing Experience with Pushy Sales Tactics…read more I want to start by saying the exam process was simple, and I had no issues with the doctor. However, my issue lies with the experience of getting my glasses prescription filled. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted a basic, affordable second pair of glasses. I mentioned this multiple times--at least three times--but I felt pushed toward more expensive options that I didn't want. When I finally chose a frame covered by my insurance, I was told that my lenses required special processing because of my prescription. The price I was quoted for the lenses was over $500. When I said I couldn't afford that and didn't intend to spend more than $300, the price suddenly dropped to $308 within seconds. Why wasn't this lower option presented to me in the first place? The sudden shift in pricing felt shady and left me questioning the transparency of the process. It felt like I was being pressured into spending more than necessary, and the whole experience came across as unprofessional. I hope this feedback encourages a more honest and straightforward approach in the future. Customers should feel respected and confident in their choices--not pushed into something they don't want or can't afford.
